In January, I was not, but the hotel is, consider, in the middle of the sea, on the reef and lagoon. There are no pools, so small for children. The lagoon between the buildings is huge, the wind is walking there. In warm weather, it’s cool there both in the lagoon and on the reef to the left of the hotel in the open sea - and in winter you will be blown out of the room with the bed, not to mention swimming in the sea :)) I don’t advise.

I was in this hotel 25.11-3.12.16 - There was not much wind, the lagoon was relatively warm, I swam in the sea 2 times despite the fact that I was cold. I can’t say anything about the pool, I didn’t try to enter.

We swam in the sea every day. In January of this year, we rested at the Sunrise Royal Makadi 5 * in Makadi Bay, and before that, also in January, at the Caribbean World Resort in Soma Bay. In January it was two years in a row, you can and should swim, you wrote Sunrise Royal Makadi above, really good. But if you want to take a walk in the evening, then only in the hotel. It's 20-30 minutes outside Hurghada. I like the SeaGull hotel in the very center of Hurghada, on the Sheraton, but if you are not afraid of noise, it is close to the waterfront and in general there is where to wander. I'm going to this hotel again in January, it's not big but compact, there are two beaches, one of them is a lagoon. You decide! But in the evening, of course, it’s cool, warm jackets and jeans are needed. It's even hot during the day.

We were. If you just sunbathe - then there is no heat and wind, so the buildings are located. but the sea is cold and the wind there is such that it blew off your feet. The lagoon is very cold even though there was no wind in the hotel. There was 1 heated pool, I swam in it. True, we knew that it was so, but 350 USD. For 2 weeks it was ok. Every lunch / dinner we went to local cafes in Hurghada. By the way, it was much warmer in the center of Hurghada))) Look at the hotels in the center better)
