I haven’t been to Palm Beach, and I don’t know how the descent to the reef works there. But we, on all the wild beaches of Egypt, are guided by the weather site for fishermen, so that we can go to the reef anywhere and get out unscathed in any other wild place, or in extreme cases on the pontoon of the nearest hotel downstream.
Usually 0.5 meters of tide is enough for us to go to the reef and come back.
