I'm only afraid that the hotel itself will disappoint you. It has had bad reviews for several years now. The reef is good opposite the neighboring hotel Coral Beach Rotana Resort - to the south (to the right, if you look at the sea)

We were in this hotel in March with my granddaughter. There are no complaints about the hotel, it fulfills its solid 4 with interest. All problems are solved in 5 minutes. At our request, they moved to a smaller room, but closer to the pool, they immediately offered an extra bed and after 5 minutes they were already knocking on the door with her. Another thing is the beach and the sea, here it’s already an amateur. It can’t be compared with Charm. We flew to Hurghada only because of the excursion to Luxor. a few corals and fish, but very scarce. Yes, and the hotel itself is located away from the center. The best rooms are in the main building, where the reception is. There are no problems with food, everything is full and tasty, there are enough places, bars both on the beach and near the pools. If you do not take into account the beach and the sea, then you can put 5.

I don’t agree that Sharm is not very good for children. There are 4 hotels in the Ras UM Sid area with the perfect El Fanara beach. We have been taking our granddaughter there for 6 years. An excellent beach, somewhat reminiscent of the Sea of u200bu200bAzov, the water is always warm, there is never wind. Very often we saw a red flag on the beach in nearby Waterfalst, but we didn’t even have a wave. Very good memories remained from the Reef Oasis. 400 meters of the beach, as if specially for children. Even special shoes were never worn. After the rest, we met friends on the plane who rested above Naama and closer to the airport, they said that out of 11 days, 5-6 days, the beach was closed, but not once with us. An ideal place for children.

All the hotels located on the Fanara beach are excellent. I was in the Iberotel Club Fanara 2 times, excellent 4+, but the hotel has a peculiarity - it is narrow and long. From the family room to the beach about a kilometer to go. In the heat with a small child, we suffered .The rooms near the pool are small. Otherwise, everything is fine. You can walk on foot at 1000 and 1 night. The Oasis Reef is even cooler (there is a great aqua park) - but they are all very expensive. As for the pontoons, they are not needed there (they would were 400 meters long). Even at low tide, we swam to the reef on the water, from the belly to the corals it was no more than half a meter. A very beautiful reef, tourists are brought there for money on boats. pebbles.
