There is no difference in service from and Slavs. They serve almost around the clock, late dinners in one of the bars until 3.00, an early breakfast before the tour can also be found from 4.00. Alcohol in the bar by the warm pool can be taken from 9.00-10.00, it depends on the mood of the bartender and the presence of a manager in the bar. In the bar on the beach (next to the sea restaurant, the extreme one on the left side of the lagoon), further in the text I will mention it from the beach because if we went to the sea, we occupied sunbeds next to the sea restaurant (although I don’t dare to call it that, later I’ll write why). The hotel also has 3 restaurants - in each of them you can dine or dine 1 time.
We were 2 weeks, and could sign up 2 times, but you can do it more often, the hotel was not crowded and you could sign up for lunch and dinner. The sea itself is very small, the emphasis is on the artificial lagoon - beautiful, comfortable. The water is several degrees less than in the sea. The difference is very noticeable, especially if there is no wind on the sea. When leaving for sea excursions, the water is much warmer than near the shore in the hotel. We didn't have much luck with the weather. It was cold, windy 7 days out of 14, quite low temperature at night up to 16 degrees. But in the afternoon after 10.00 it's already hot


Accommodation. The territory is very large, but we love the sea nearby and building 6 was pre-selected, overlooking the Golden Five and the sunny side. The sun was always with us and in summer it is very good (6220.6223, 6225), the rooms facing the inside of the hotel are always in the shade and in winter it is not very convenient, and taking into account that there is animation in all bars in the evening, it will not work to sit quietly on the balcony.
When you check in, as usual at all receptions in Egypt, they play a show with bad and good numbers in front of you in order to extort American rubles (I call it a dance with tambourines), but I quickly cut it down and investing $ 50 asked for 3 rooms in building 6. The price of the issue suited them (they ask for 10-20, depending on the number) From the reception and the water park closer 1 and 4 buildings to the sea, go 5 minutes. In our company there was a couple who was important to get a room with one large double bed and exactly one and not consisting of two side by side, as a result we got a room (one of 8 available in each building) but with an interesting feature this room is two-room with different entrances and separated by a thin interior door designed for large families. In their case, instead of romantic nights, they had to listen to the scandals of neighbors and snoring at night. There is no soundproofing in the room, as a result, the room was exchanged for another one at no extra charge. But even there they were not lucky, since the neighbors turned out to be a Tagil family that fought all night, the child howled in the toilet, in the morning there was a knock on the door with their feet and requests to let them spend the night.
Most of all, I was struck by the complete indifference of the guard who sits around the clock at the entrance to each building, as he explained, they do not interfere in conflicts in the family, if the fight is room to room, then they work. Unfortunately, leaving early in the morning for breakfast, more than once I observed sleeping drunken compatriots under the door. In the morning, neighbors with broken and scratched faces were moved to another room, their room was closed for repairs, even the broken plumbing was changed. The smell of paint began to come through the ventilation and the number was changed again. Ventilation also has its own peculiarity, in our room 6223 there were a lot of mosquitoes that the fumigator did not always cope with, in 6225 they were not there, in 6220 there were but occasionally, and they obviously flew in through the ventilation of the air conditioner. The balcony was closed for a fee, and smoking even in the evenings mosquitoes on the street did not come across.

The mini bar in the room was replenished every other day with 2 schweppes, cola, sprite, 2 juices, but if you didn’t drink something, the second set will not be supplied, only the spent will be replenished. The toilet has bath accessories shampoo, shower gel, soap, milk replenish reluctantly spent. The cleanest towels. Cleaned up well, twisted different figures. I got the impression that the manager is some kind of relative of the owner of the hotel. So dirty and not comfortable, I did not visit a single restaurant by appointment in other hotels in Egypt. This restaurant is the complete opposite of the entire hotel. It's time to throw the chef into the sea. We were a large group and were able to order the entire menu. Having tried each other, we concluded that only 3 large shrimp that are served in a seafood mix can be considered edible. The main fish is undercooked and made in burnt oil. Tuna salad is a dry canned food that even cats do not eat.
Salad with fresh vegetables and shrimp - everyone who tried spent the evening on a ceramic friend. How can you think of just defrosting the shrimp and not only not cooking it, but simply pouring it over with warm water and serving it to the table. Moreover, the smell of shrimp clearly spoke of their repeated defrosting and freezing back. In general, the restaurant was popularly called "Three Shrimps"

In the main restaurant, the atmosphere of an ordinary canteen, but this is probably due to the large number of people, dress code is not required, but there were also couples in costumes for dinner. We ate in the first hall from the entrance to the green left. In the evening they gave $ 1 to a permanent waiter serving us, but during the day they always got a table for 6 people. Even if the hall was full and the tables were occupied, he said “2 minutes” and while we were serving food, we came into the hall to an empty, clean, served table. The service was really fast and the drinks were delivered just as quickly.

For children, there are muesli balls, traditional pancakes and pancakes, the fruit was pieces of orange, red and yellow grapefruit, apples and a mix with all this plus melon and guava. At lunch, too, there was always something to eat and how to feed even children.
Soups were not liked by more than one, they make traditional mashed potatoes or just broth with cereals, but they are not cooked in meat broth and they are fresh. But dinner is good. Large selection of grills. Every evening different cuisine Egyptian, Italian, Mediterranean, Oriental, etc. , most importantly delicious! ! ! I especially liked the beef stew, lamb on the ribs, deep-fried pelengasius fish and fried calf. There were squids, but for some reason poorly cleaned, fish, chicken (after a week I couldn’t look at it), beef, pigeons, mussels (small, a lot of shells and little meat) several times a week. Once a week there is an amazing dinner with a large selection of outdoor grills with a variety of fruits and vegetables.

The compatriots who picked up strawberries in plates and left them not eaten on the tables were not pleased, they also dragged local persimmons in plates, and they have a small shape like our finger tomatoes - it knits strongly and not very sweet, it also lay all over the dining room.

Entertainment. The first time I was impressed by the animation, I have not seen this in Egypt, you can compare it on a par with Turkish. It also gave us about 10 minutes extra time in the water on our first dive. I, as an experienced snorker, did not feel any problems, although I went with blocked ears due to long swims of 1-2 hours in the sea near the hotel. The comrade had no experience of snorkeling and blowing out his ears when diving. He was not comfortable - the mask was leaking, his ears were blocked, and he refused the second dive. The second dive was near Faruz reef. The depth on both dives is 5 to 10 meters, which I checked on a waterproof camera with a depth gauge that I took with me. From what I met there was only an unusually large lionfish fish. A couple who were diving behind us came across a turtle. The dive is safe, very competent instructors. I advise you to listen to the instructions well, blow your ears through every meter of depth and you will be happy.
For myself, I concluded that it was time to add a PADI certificate to my experience of many years of snorkeling, so that I could go underwater on my own and for a longer time. Snorkeling is what I personally go to Egypt for. For underwater photography I use two reliable cameras Canon PowerShot D10 and Nikon Coolpix AW110.

I like the Canon PowerShot D10 better in shallow water - the pictures are more real, with Nikon they turn out greener, but he holds a depth of up to 18 meters and used it for diving using the built-in depth gauge. Having bought a Nikon Coolpix AW110, I stopped carrying a Nikon 3100 DSLR with me. Photos from both cameras on land and at sea are worthy. Nikon Coolpix AW110 liked shooting using scene programs, especially at night.

You look at your photos and want to go to this hotel, but as a result you get a dead reef wall along the hotel beaches. And now about the sea: on the right side of the beach. the approach is steeper, the coast lined with slabs and stones, there is no entrance to the sea, on the left side the shallow sandy rocky bottom breaks off with a shallow coral wall 1.5-3 meters deep.
All the bottom in front of the hotel is sandy, the coral wall is dead in some places islands of life come across. After Sharmovskie many hours of morning swims of 2-3 kilometers along the beautiful coral walls, I was shocked. At a distance of 200-400 meters from the beach there are live bumps, but yachts and boats constantly ply there and it was not safe to swim. Therefore, I conducted swims in my own water area.

Entering from the left end of the beach near the pier, you swim until it ends, looking at the nearby bumps with corals and the sandy bottom with numerous flocks of mullet, moving away into the sea along the bumps marked with flags, you swim out to the far yellow-green flag. Along the way, there are numerous coral shoals quite populated with typical representatives of the Red Sea. Under the yellow-green flag itself, there is an extensive mistletoe with a depth of half a meter. In this area, I once met a bracken stingray about a meter in diameter, but it was more shy than Sharmovskiye and quickly went to the depths, and the main joy was from 2 adult green turtles I met on this hummock. One quickly went to the open sea without letting itself be pursued. On the second one, I managed to swim a little and let myself take pictures and make a video. Further, as a rule, I swam to the corner of the junction of the pier and the beginning of the Golden beaches.
From there I returned along the shallow coral wall along the beach. Of the interesting, flocks of Platax teira were met - long-finned plataxes, which I rarely met in other places of rest, and a flock of small striped flocking grumblers Pomadasys taeniatus

Shopping.
There is no clothing market as such in Hurghada. A network of small trading shops and small shops scattered throughout the city has been developed.
