I was there in December 2005. I don't think the beach has changed. The entrance to the sea is sandy. Not much to go to the depth - that's for sure. (Approximately 30 meters)

The beach is excellent, the only thing I don’t like at all in Egypt, or maybe it’s the current in Hurghada, Pts little sand, as if walking on the ground sprinkled with sand. And it’s great there, the beach is big, wide, there are always sunbeds and towels, tends from the wind. You can wander along the beach, get to the pier, stupidly I’m under the pier, at low tide, there are sea urchins living in stone. I advise to walk there in special shoes, awesomely beautiful))))
