good hotel?
We are going on vacation with my husband from June 13 for 12 nights. We chose the ARABIA AZUR RESORT 4 * hotel. I've been to Egypt 3 times, always 5*. Please tell us about this hotel. I am interested in accommodation (the presence of a safe in the room, whether in all rooms, the presence of a kettle in the room, I read from the reviews, the view from the room, the nuances with accommodation, which building is better, etc.), food, beach, distance to the city center, contingent (as I understand most Germans and probably pensioners :)), territory .... In general, everyone is interested! I would really appreciate your answers! You can write to e-mail [email protected]

The hotel consists of two buildings A and B. In building A there are safes in the room, in building B there is a safe for free at the reception. Kettle, cups, spoons, tea, coffee, sugar, bottled water of 1.5 liters - everything in the room is regularly renewed. In the refrigerator, 3 bottles of soda, 0.33 liters each, are free of charge. The rooms are huge. Each building has 289 rooms per floor. the first floors with a terrace and have 2 exits - to the terrace and to the common corridor of the building. second and third floors with a huge balcony, on which there is a table with two chairs and a rope for drying clothes and towels. Take clothespins with you. Strong wind sometimes drops swimwear. When you check in, you will be shown a map of the hotel. Windows can be on the pool, on the lagoons and on the surf station. Numbers from about 220-289 go to the surf station. contingent - the majority of Germans are pensioners and young people with small children. there are no parties in the hotel. unfortunately lately more and more Russians and Ukrainians. the receptionist even began to speak Russian. evening performances at the Arabian Theatre. beginning at 21.00. be sure to go to the opera "Faust" in German - you can yell. The theater program is repeated every 7 days. billiards and library on the second floor of the main building.

I forgot to write - the rooms of building B go to the surf station. breakfast in the main restaurant, lunch in the restaurant by the pool and on the Marina, dinner in the main restaurant and in the restaurant by the pool. in addition to the buffet for breakfast, pancakes and omelets are baked. for lunch and dinner barbecue or grill. On a sea day, crabs are cooked on the grill, but for some reason I don’t like them. Beaches: in the lagoons of the hulls - sand, at the exit to the Marina - sand, on the Marina (an island at the end of the pier) - a stone sprinkled with sand, with a descent into the water along the stairs immediately to the reef to the depth. under the pier there live about 6 fish-surgeons of 50-60 centimeters in length. once I saw Napoleon 1.5 meters. Be sure to go to the Marina in the evening, at 8-9 o'clock. there, lanterns illuminate the water and a lionfish swims to feed. to Sakkala (new city) 20 minutes on foot or $ 1 by taxi (bargain mercilessly). To Dahar (old city) - a bit far on foot, 5 minutes and 2 dollars by taxi. There is a free bus to the new Marina embankment every day at 9 pm. The territory is shared with the Bel Air and Arabella hotels. You can walk there. The Ali Baba Bazaar and the Calabush disco are also located on the common territory. The hotel is my favourite. There will be questions - I will gladly answer.

My husband and I were in this hotel last year at the end of May - beginning of June. We chose it solely because of the beaches - my husband loves snorkeling, I love sand and a smooth entrance to the sea. It was possible to swim in the evening until 18-30 calmly, the sun was still shining with might and main, the water was fresh milk! Every morning I went swimming at 6 in the morning, to feed the fish, they were always waiting by the shore, right on the rocks. We lived almost on the beach, in building A, number 176. Direct access to the pool, bar, beach, in general, super-accommodation! Ask for rooms in building A: 174-177 (this is the 1st floor), or similarly the second: 274-277. We really liked it on the 1st floor, we went straight out of the room to the street, the door is locked with a key. There were only 2 times in the corridor - on the day of arrival and departure (they took out luggage). For us, the cons were the following: an old, very uncomfortable mattress, lumpy pillows, old, in spools, bed linen, very thin! That's probably all! And there are much more pluses: the SEA, the safe in building A is free, right in the room, the food is delicious (the assortment is small), delicious free ice cream all day in the lobby and at the pool bar (chocolate, strawberry, mango, ice cream), you put it yourself, how much if you want, there are never queues in bars, there are few compatriots, calmly. I advise!

Rested in October 2010. The hotel is not bad, but not great! Pros: Great beaches, for every taste. We rested at the Marina. It's just great if you like to snorkel. The food is excellent, especially lunch and dinner. We dined at the Marina, dined by the pool by candlelight. The rooms are big. We had a view of the lagoon and the pool (No. 278 kA) Cons: there was almost always no hot water! It was annoying. Room cleaning at "2". The bed was not changed until they themselves threw it on the floor! Even for a tip! The hotel is boring. Designed for a relaxing holiday. Everything that happened in the "theatre" is uninteresting and unprofessional. To entertain ourselves, we took more excursions. Well, in general, we liked the rest. The sea made up for everything! Maybe my opinion is biased, but there is something to compare, including in Egypt. A little advice. If you have to wait a long time for accommodation, ask for the key to the guest room, where you can change and relax in peace. And at 14 o'clock you will be settled. You don't have to waste time at the reception while waiting for your check-in. From personal experience regarding this hotel.

We have hot water ALWAYS! The fact that the hotel is "boring" was initially known. We went there to "get bored". When you work with people for a whole year, quiet Germans and the lack of animation are pleasing. "Hang out" had to go to the nearby El Palacio, where the music yells until late at night (Arabia shudders). Had the "pleasure" to relax in this hotel with drunken Romanians, Poles, Czechs (but without the sea). People go to Arabia for silence and beautiful beaches. And the fact that the hotel is far from super (old furniture, service is not luxury) is also not a secret.

thank you all so much for your advice! We have a good mood, so I'm sure everyone will like it! We are going to rest from Moscow tension, I think we will not pay attention to the little things))
Judging by the reviews, building A is better than B?

Better only because it has safes in the rooms. In the case In the safes at the reception, also free of charge, but I think it's not very convenient. The best rooms in terms of location are located in those "branches" of buildings A and B, which are located along the Olympic pool (the buildings are shaped like a horseshoe). I recommend the rooms that I have already mentioned above. And one more thing. At the entrance to the hotel, next to the shopping center, there is a restaurant with a seating area. For "all inclusive" it is free, by prior reservation. You can go more than once, for a change. Prices in the mall are almost the same as in Hurghada. In the bar on the Marina, all fantas and colas are much tastier than in the pool bar. There are other machines. And at the end of the holiday, we found that in different restaurants (there are 4 of them), the assortment of dishes varies. In one, for example, there were rolls, in others not. And cold hibiscus tea is not available everywhere. So, try everything, everywhere! Good luck!
