Incomprehensible data about Aswan
EgyptAswan
1) How is it that there are no sights? Yes, there are plenty of them - 2 Aswan dams, the Hashepsut temple, an unfinished obelisk, a botanical garden, a tour to Abu Simbel, Elephantine Island itself. Just a bazaar (classic oriental).
2) At least 10 luxury hotels.
As I understand it, you don’t have tours to Aswan at all, but it was a chic winter resort under the British.

Welcome to TurPravda! Write reviews about attractions and we will immediately add them to the database.
You are right, there are no tours or excursion programs in Aswan. But tours are formed not by us (review site) but by tour operators.

Start with the Temple of Hatshepsut in Luxor.
But I think if you write yourself a more competent program or tell us about all the monuments of the Nile, we will only be happy and customers will know about you.
You can also do something nice for hotels and leave reviews.

Don't forget about the Nile Cruise, although it takes place in winter, it is very hot in summer.

Firstly, I apologize for writing about tours, since before that I went to the sites of tour operators, well, by inertia I expressed my fairy. Secondly, the Hashepsut temple in Luxor is indeed to blame, I wanted to say Hathor on the island of Philae. There are still 5 temples there, including the Jewish temple on the island of Elephantine, on which, according to one theory, the ark of the covenant was kept after the Babylonian attack on Jerusalem. On the Nile cruise I swam, in fact they are year-round and they pass in the summer and in the winter. By the way, a very profitable event (4 * hotel afloat) if you book a cruise and then (or before) a hotel on the sea without combining them at the same time. The main idea is to swim at a time when you did not have a paid hotel on the sea. I doubt about tours to Aswan, since even Egyptian operators do not conduct them, although it is not clear why - there is an airport in Aswan and the train to Cairo goes at night (you only need to order a SV carriage, even food is included in the ticket there :-)). But from the Red Sea there are 1-2 day routes to Aswan, but for a week or more - there are no such tours, which is a pity, there is something to see for a week. There are plenty of hotels, but prices are higher than in Hurghada. Maybe because they are not as crowded as the sea.

As the saying goes, demand creates supply. for my practice, very few people are interested in relaxing in non-resort areas of Egypt and want to see more. We organize individual tours, but the demand for them is so small, and as a rule, people come to Luxor and Aswan in a hurry, they see everything, but they don’t want to spend the night. In Egypt, there are unusually many places where there are historical monuments and few people know about them. The entire valley of the Nile is strewn with pyramids; ancient temples and mosques still remain in the desert in an oasis. But to be honest, there is no demand. And people are now afraid to move somewhere away from the resort areas. This is also important.

Admin do not believe it many times tried to write reviews and stories, but writing is not mine. Everything turns out clumsily (((((And I took photos of hotels, everything hangs on my computer, but even the overwhelming muse did not visit me (((
I like to travel around Egypt, but it’s easier for me to talk about what I saw in this Q&A format))))

At the expense of cruises in the summer - this is not a Russian-speaking contingent. Our season opens in October. In the summer, I would not advise anyone to go to see open-air museums in the heat, the pleasure is below average.

Nothing like this. Cruise on the Nile even in summer is simply gorgeous. As I said, this is a minimum 4 * hotel afloat. And there are ships for all 5 *. On board there is a swimming pool, sun loungers with umbrellas - you lie and swim along the plantations of date palms and banana thickets remaining on the shore :-)) The rooms (sorry cabins) have air conditioning, a toilet, a bathroom, satellite channels, in short, full stuffing. 3 times board buffet. In short, the ship is a floating hotel. It doesn't take long to sail from Luxor to Aswan - 3 days, and every day there are 1-2 excursions, then to one temple, then to another. If the tour is not on the shore, then there are always air-conditioned buses from the pier. We were 6 Russian-speaking people and we had a separate guide with us, but in general there were most of the French, but there were English and Swedes. There are 100 people in total. It is a pity that there are no cruises from Cairo to Aswan - so some kind of irrigation dams or something like that and because of them there are no such routes. Too bad it would be like Agatha Christie.

Guys, your login somehow works strangely when you enter an answer. Those. I enter my mail in the login, then the password - it gives an error that the password is wrong, although it is correct. I change the password - confirmation of the password change comes. I enter - I press Login, the button disappears, and appears again. And the login itself does not come up. I can only answer from a letter.

vdomolazov, thanks, I informed the admins, they will write to you in a personal or by mail.

Yes, this is all good, but on the coast in the heat of +50 in the summer, viewing everything under the scorching sun is not a pleasure for everyone. You can also prepare for a summer cruise, but it is better to do it in the autumn-spring period.
Ships are essentially floating hotels, it's true. There are 4 and 5 stars. By the way, according to statistics, the most sold season is New Year's, places are sold out in advance)))
аватар orbittours.ru
By the way, cruises from Cairo were resumed, they were not made for other reasons, for a year now we can carry from Cairo)))))

Wow! and how many days is the cruise to Aswan? Well, the price in UE for 1
аватар orbittours.ru
There are different cruises, the minimum number of days is 6 days and up to 14, the cost starts from 1500.

Aswan. My friend's dream is to visit there. When we arrive in Sharm, we always go on excursions. She talked about Aswan with representatives of local travel agencies, but there were no offers from Sharm (individual tour).

And it wasn’t like we flew in, and we want to go to Aswan ... We were interested in how to plan everything for the next trip, but no one gave us a clear answer. They advised either to Hurghada, from there it’s easier, or not to bother at all. And the situation not that...
аватар orbittours.ru
In Aswan from Sharm only individually, therefore very expensive.
There are actually more options from Hurghada.

After 3 years, I want to visit Aswan again :-)
It is clear that there are no direct tours. BUT you can organize a tour to Aswan on the spot. This is best done from Marsa Alam. Firstly, it is not far from Aswan. Secondly, apart from the sea, there is nothing interesting in Marsa Alam. Of course, I love the Red Sea, but somewhere on the 8th day it gets boring. So it makes sense to change the situation. This year I will try this option. I don't know if it will work the way you want it or not. Since this is not my first time in Aswan, the dam and the obelisk are no longer interesting to me, but on the island of Elephantine (there, a rock near the nilomere resembles an elephant's head from Elephantine :-) I would wander. It is all (more precisely, its southern half) is covered with the ruins of temples, it is interesting to visit the local museum on the island. On the northern half of the island is a chic hotel that is visible in all the pictures of the Aswan waterfront. I looked at his website, a chic hotel, I would like to stay there at least for a couple of nights. There is nothing to do in Aswan for more than 2 days if you don’t go fishing :-) And the Nile perch is lower than the old Aswan protina, I’ll tell you a 40 kilo beast. I also want to swim to the island next to Elephantine - there is an awesome botanical garden. It is famous for its unique collection of palm trees.
