All relatives are against a trip to Egypt because of the difficult political situation. Tell me, who knows - what is the mood of the population, after all, martial law has been declared in the country?

go to the forum and read the topic: What's going on in the Arab world.

As a travel agent, I do not advise you to travel around the cities of Egypt. The resorts are safe, you are under the protection of hotel management, the police, but in the interior of the country, in case of problems, it is much more difficult to get out of unpredictable situations

You answered your own question! So why do you need someone's opinion? You know very well that no one can guarantee you anything in this country at the present time.

Completely agree with HAVE_REST. We went on vacation to Egypt immediately after the revolution, as soon as the first flights from Ukraine were launched. Everything was calm in the resorts. As the attendants said, everything was calm even during the revolution. I wanted to go to the pyramids, but there was no tour there. They said - because of the unrest, you should not go to the cities. Although ... now everything has been resumed. God saves the safe.

We were in Sharm in May, everything is calm at the resort, they offered only Israel by plane, and Luxor, they didn’t offer pyramids, but for Cairo they generally said that it was a garbage dump, we didn’t go anywhere, we only took a sea tour, everything was fine in the hotel itself and food and service... so it's up to you!

AngelinaDonec, thanks for talking about Cairo. I really wanted to go there, but it still didn’t work out (((everyone convinced me. And now you have confirmed once again that there is nothing to go there!)))) Thank you again))))

When we took an excursion to the Pyramids (2 years ago), the excursion was only through Cairo, with a visit to the famous CAIRO MUSEUM, and when we drove around Cairo, it was mud, stench, terrible slums, in general, I expected from Cairo the STAR OF THE EAST, one a I saw something completely different ..... but ... I really liked the CAIRO MUSEUM, GIZA-PYRAMIDS .... and the city itself (I don’t even want to discuss it) ....

I was in Luxor. It's beautiful. I liked it. And the Valley of the Kings is nothing interesting.

There is another revolution in Cairo, there are street fights, what is there to discuss.

As in any metropolis, Cairo has clean exemplary areas and slums on the outskirts. So there is nothing to be surprised by contrasts. In general, all Egyptian (Arab) cities are quite dirty. Well, they did not accustom them to cleanliness. Although I saw how in Aswan they washed the sidewalk and the street with soap.
To be in Egypt and not visit the pyramids in the Historical Museum and in Luxor is generally in vain to go to Egypt. The Red Sea is, of course, a great pleasure in itself, but we must not forget that Egypt is one of the oldest civilizations that left a huge number of monuments. Although there is a contingent to swell and splash, of course, what the hell is the story for them.
Revolutions and unrest in Egypt are not every day, although the country is terribly militarized.
I was just in Hurghada during their last revolution, so if it were not for the TV, I would never have guessed that it was coming.
