Finally, my husband and I decided to fulfill our dream and fly to the Dominican Republic on our wedding anniversary! We thoroughly prepared for the trip, but it turned out that our trip was planned outside the box: the first thing we noticed was by chance, when viewing Eagle and Tails in the Dominican Republic, the Russian tour agency Dva Banana, which organizes holidays in this country. In fact, it all started with them, we wrote to WhatsApp to find out about upcoming excursions and asked for advice on which hotel we should stay in in order to feel the spirit of the Caribbean. And we were advised Majestic Elegance. It is noteworthy that Russian operators rarely saw offers with this hotel, although it is already 10 years old. It is located next to the Majestic Colonial, famous for its entertainment and adapted for families with children. Elegance, on the contrary, is more adapted to adult rest, quiet, measured and calm. The atmosphere in the hotel is chic, a huge hall with ivory trim looks luxurious! Feeling like you're staying in a luxury hotel. We did not pay extra for rooms with ocean views, because everything is close and you can walk along the well-groomed territory of the hotel to the beach. The room is bright, spacious, with a huge comfortable four-poster bed and a Jacuzzi right in the room (however, you need to use it carefully, because you will have to go straight to the tiled floor), but still, a nice bonus, a nice spacious bathroom, access to the garden. A beach with white sand and high waves, the water is very pleasant, not too warm, as it happens in Asian countries, swimming in it is a pleasure. Near the pool there are many closed gazebos with white curtains where you can wait out the heat, right in the pool there is a floating bar with drinks for every taste (even Chivas can be found). There is a very well equipped fitness center and spa on site. The food at the hotel is very diverse, in addition to the main restaurant, there are several restaurants with an appointment, the most popular Japanese restaurant with a large selection of sushi Nine Doors, we got into it on the second try, and an Argentinean steakhouse, an Italian restaurant and a Mediterranean. Frankly, for all 9 days of our stay we did not have time to repeat ourselves with dinner even once, the food is very varied. I liked the atmosphere in the hotel itself, there is no crazy movement during the day, pleasant music (jazz or chillout) plays, you can relax, but the evening program is usually very interesting, with the participation of illusionists and magicians. Summarizing our vacation, I want to say that among the fives of the average level, elegans very favorably distinguishes the level of service, food and appearance. Recommended.
