My wife and I went at the beginning of September. They really wanted to go to the Caribbean, but only Huala Bavaro allowed finances. A few years ago, friends were in this hotel and advised. We expected the level of a provincial hotel somewhere beyond the Moscow Ring Road, but the hotel turned out to be much better than our ideas. Clean room, one large bed, bathroom is old, but it will do. The food is also above expectations, a lot of meat, mountains of fruit. Although we didn’t stay at the hotel much, we traveled a lot around the Dominican Republic. We went on a moto-concho along Bavaro, took excursions for long distances from the Republic of Pro. From the hotel you can quickly get to the wild beach of Macau, or to Saona Island, the most popular tourist destination in the Dominican Republic. The capital of Santo Domingo is further away. So we traveled for a week and a half, until Irma approached us. I must say that the hotel turned out to be ready for such natural phenomena, and the staff quickly informed us about what to do and what not to do during the storm. However, the hurricane felt like it lasted less than a day and left no mark on the hotel grounds.
