From the hotel you can quickly get to the wild beach of Macau, or to Saona Island, the most popular tourist destination in the Dominican Republic. The capital of Santo Domingo is further away. So we traveled for a week and a half, until Irma approached us. The hotel does not have as many restaurants as Dominican 5-star hotels have, but the quality of food is no worse (before that we were in a 5-star hotel, but this time finances did not allow). The hotel has three swimming pools, the water is a bit salty. The beach is excellent, the weather pleased all the days. For two days there was a lot of algae, but the next morning they were removed. The beach has a bar with a good selection of free alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Also, I advise you to go to a bar near the hotel, Gary's. There is also a market not far from the bar, although we liked Ola's Russian store more to the left along the beach. (All this can be found on google maps).
