We rested in the Punta Cana Resort complex in April this year. It is impossible to choose it on the site, so we chose Tortuga Bay. In fact, Tortuga is just a group of buildings and rooms a kilometer to the right of the main building and bungalows, called the Punta Cana Resort Hotel on the parent line.
In fact, all this is a huge complex without internal borders. The complex includes several hotels, four restaurants, a couple of blocks of villas for rent and of course endless golf courses!
They say that this complex was the first hotel complex in Punta Cana 40 years ago (this is also hinted at by the location from the airport - 5-7 minutes by bus, and planes, by the way, do not interfere at all). Well, in our room, it's hard to argue with that: old brown shabby furniture, a 90s-type "bandura" TV, a weathered ceiling fan instead of an air conditioner. If not for the room, the hotel would have deserved the highest rating.
We have already been to Punta Cana a year ago. But then there was a tough party on the beaches of Bavaro. This time we wanted more relaxation, and we got it! Either the load was low, or all the people disappeared over a vast territory, or all the guests did not care about the sea and they just had fun playing golf, but the absence of people in vast spaces created the very peace and tranquility for which we came !
Naturally the beach, the sea, the pools are very clean! Sunbeds and umbrellas are no problem! There are no people either! Nearly. Occasionally, some elderly Englishman will get off his golf cart to freshen up. Although not very fresh, the water temperature in April was around 28 degrees.
Naturally, meals are organized according to the a la carte system. Buffet only for breakfast. Lunches and dinners with a small selection, but the dishes are very refined and amazingly delicious! Even the hamburgeruesa was exquisite - all fast food restaurants should make hamburgers like that! And about lobsters and other lobsters, I generally keep quiet.
After the meal, they bring you a bill, but you don’t need any money, you just swipe your card. You pay when you leave.
The territory is so huge that a golf cart is a must. Some restaurants can be reached on foot in 40 minutes. On the square, 10-15 minutes. Pleasure costs 51 dollars, but the car can be stolen)))
It is enough to pick up a key of the same size. We got the key to the mailbox! ))
In general, I liked the hotel very much. For a relaxing holiday - that's it!
