Dresden or Nurberg?
Friends, which city would you recommend to visit? We will stay on a sightseeing tour in Prague, and one of the days there is an opportunity to visit one of these cities.
What is your opinion: which of the cities is better to visit (I'm interested in medieval architecture) or better to stay and walk around Prague for one more day?
Thanks in advance!

If you have not been to Germany, then you need to go. I'm for Dresden. If you appreciate art, then you can visit the famous Dresden Gallery. You can also take a walk in the center, along the Elbe embankment.

Dresden is very beautiful. But keep in mind that it was almost completely destroyed by the bombing, a small old center remained, an hour or two is enough to inspect the architecture itself. +1 to the Dresden Gallery.
I have not been to Nuremberg.
Whether it is better to spend one more day in Prague depends on the length of your stay. If there is at least a week, then you can go, if 2-3 days, then it is better to spend an extra day in Prague. Yes, and in the Czech Republic itself there are wonderful places for a one-day trip - Krumlov, Gluboka nad Vltava, Karlovy Vary, Karlstejn.

Thank you very much for the replies. I tend to stay one more day in Prague, although I will look at the circumstances - if we have time, I will definitely go to Dresden.
Deep over the Vltava is also in the program :) We will definitely visit there!

In organized trips to Prague, such wonderful places as Petrin and Vysehrad are usually undeservedly overlooked, almost never offer a zoo (absolutely beautiful, one of the best in Europe). I recommend all three points :)
Have a nice rest!

Pachok, thank you, I have these points (except for the zoo) and I want to visit after the organized tours :)

I would also advise you to stay in Prague, because. when traveling to Germany, you will spend a lot of time on the bus, especially if you are going to travel further, both cities are often in the programs of different tours.
In Prague, Pachok would also add gardens and parks near the Prague Castle, as well as Vtrbovsky Park, to the advice. If you need links, I can reset.

I definitely advise either Nuremberg or Rothenburg ob der Tauber. N. deserves attention, especially since 2-3 hours are enough for you in the city. what to admire and leave a complete picture of Nyurik. And if you want to see the real Middle Ages, then you are in Rothenburg ob der Tauber. It was completely unaffected by the bombings and just a magical city. Google it and see for yourself. It's fantastic. it is about an hour's drive from N. You can ride the Wyern ticket cheaply. Dresden only in winter and museums, exhibitions. I am a local.

If Nuremberg is given at least 4-5 hours of time, then you have to go. It's very cool there. Medieval, quiet and very beautiful city. I would love to ride there again. Dresden is different. Staying in Prague for the day is also an option. I spent 3 days there and didn't regret it.

In January 2013, we went on an excursion to Dresden from Prague, bought at the Orange Agency. Immediately upon arrival, we went to the art gallery and next to the museums. We liked. Everything is closed on Sundays (shops). In Nuremberg, everything is a remake, but my sister liked it.
