Well, what could be a budget option for visiting Luxembourg (one of the most expensive capitals in Europe!). Nothing!!!

In general, it seems to me that you have decided to go to Europe, you probably have new passports, and you lay the preparations for the trip, pointing your finger at the map - "we are going to Cologne", entrust to Turpravda.
They themselves tried to look for something, at least through "Google maps" to lay a route to Brussels and Amsterdam, and to other places as well, but everything is simple there. From point A - Cologne to point B - Amsterdam by public transport! All routes will be highlighted, very convenient and informative.

I do not agree about the fact that Luxembourg is the most expensive capital in Europe. I would call it the cheapest in terms of prices, at least from 3 BNL capitals.
There are definitely trains to Amsterdam (ICE), but from there you can get to Brussels by InterCity train, and from Brussels to Luxembourg by train or by bus. So to speak, on the way back.

http://www.viktoria-reisen.com/index.php?id=13&tour=26. I myself am now building a route around Europe, I found this site. We traveled to Amsterdam by car from Dusseldorf.

Thanks to everyone for the answers. We have planned the route for a long time, we are really going on an independent tour for the first time, so we are interested in specific prices, trains and times ...

You understand, I also plan and travel to Europe on my own without a "gallop through Europe" from TA. And I start the trips exactly as I suggested to you.
I made a route, including in it all the points (cities and villages) that I want to visit and in GOOGLE MAPS - Google maps. There you will see how to make a route, fill in all your points, then as you want - on foot, by car or by public transport. And you will get a number of routes, all the more there you can see it even in pictures and videos.
Secondly, you can find hotels, hostels and campsites in different sites, starting with Booking. I go to any tourist site in the city of Amsterdam, for example. Beforehand, to determine the place of residence. And no one but you will do this job better. And it's very exciting!
When I told my wife in Venice where, near which house or sight to turn to the hotel, she was surprised, saying you were here or something. I just worked out the route!

Here you can come in handy - the website of the German railways DB (Die Bahn - In Germany
First of all, a few words about train travel within Germany. You can use very economical trips in Germany with DB (Die Bahn), if you skillfully use special offers, tariffs. Holland - 9292nl

Thanks ALEX! It was precisely about economical tickets and cheap accommodation that we were talking about .. Considering our ,,young,,age 65+, we are not very friendly with a computer, but we love to travel (it’s not strange) I’ve been fighting like a fish on ice for a week, but the results are deplorable, I have already made a lot of mistakes by deciding to combine a trip to Augsburg (from 18.01-22.01) with a tour to Cologne (from 23.01 to 27.01), now I don’t know how to get to Cologne with the least losses, and I would also like to see something else anything! That's why I turned to turpravda. for help

Well, about the computer, I’m also not friends for long, I’m 70 years old in January, but I understood it the way I wrote to you - “Saving the drowning is the work of the drowning themselves” and you can find anything on the Internet. Reset your E-mail to my account, what I have on your topic, I will reset it to your E-mail.
But by the way, you can score in a search engine - "cheap accommodation in .... (city), something may pop up. The same - by rail.

Look, discounts for people 65+ in the Netherlands were on the train, even when traveling to another country. As for now, I don't know. I did not find such information in Germany. The cheapest way is by far the bus. The most comfortable and fastest ground is the train.
Website of the Dutch railways - ns.nl. The price depends on the day of the week and the time of departure. Peak hours are more expensive. If you buy a ticket at the box office, then pay an additional service fee (€ 10 for international destinations). It is better to buy on the site, or in vending machines (by card or for coins). This is with regard to traveling from the Netherlands to Belgium, for example. There are no trains to Luxembourg (only via Brussels).
I looked at the cost and options from Augsburg to Cologne € 90-130 4 hours by train, € 27-46 7 hours by bus. If you really try and search, you can find cheap trips from € 19 for night trains. But not the fact that they will be on your route.
In any case, it will not be very cheap to visit all three capitals. You need to decide what exactly you want to visit and choose.

Viktoria Reisen - not recommended! Blatant scam on the phone. Employees of the company take advantage of the fact that there are few competitors among cheap Russian-speaking travel agencies, they promise one thing over the phone, but in reality it turns out to be completely different.

After I made a reservation for an elderly single woman traveling in a double room with another woman, I received a call from the number 0211-445091, they said that the order and payment confirmation were accepted, but there were no more places in double rooms with women, so I you need to choose - either the guest will be placed free of charge with a man, or in a three- or more-bed room, or you need to make an additional payment of 20 euros so that the guest lives in a single room. Naturally, I made an additional payment and sent an e-mail. mail confirmation. And on the spot it turned out that the guest was placed in a triple room with two other women, just as gullible, and she also made an additional payment for a single room, not alone, but other guests, who instead of the promised single room were also placed in multi-bed rooms. All the women told the travel agency staff about this right on the spot, tried to find out the reason and achieve resettlement, but the travel agency did nothing.

Upon our return, we turned to the company with a request to at least return this surcharge for a single room, but we were told that they did not receive any surcharge for a single room, and we allegedly paid extra for a 4th star in the hotel, although we pre-ordered a 3-star hotel .
Of course, telephone conversations are not recorded and we cannot prove that it was the employees who told us on the phone, and that is what they use. For us, their actions are clearly a scam, so we do not recommend anyone to contact Victoria-Rizen.
