A tourist visa must be done through the Travel Agency. They attach hotel reservations to documents. I have never heard of issuing a visa to Germany for a hotel reservation. Although maybe you have an American open visa, for example, it might work out. If you do a tourist visa through an agency, then they will tell you everything you need. I think it will be easier through an agency.

I got my German in a day :)
1. I didn’t understand “labor” what is it? visa? if so, then you will still make a copy of all the pages in your passport and the embassy will see it. the presence of a German labor visa is a plus for them, if there were no violations.
somehow I don't even know what to say. here it might be worth calling the embassy and asking - although it’s from the realm of fantasy to get through to them, but it worked out for me
2. if the tickets are paid, the hotel is paid - minimum failures.
3. the consulate is very loyal. especially if you have all the documents in order.
Don't forget to write down your itinerary. necessarily.

When receiving a guest visa (invitation), the Germans are very loyal. I received an Italian visa, so it was tough. The main thing for the Germans is NOT to lie, And it is desirable to confirm all your words with any documents. printouts or photographs. A conversation in the style of "This is my former neighbor on the site ...." or "We talk on Skype every year ..." On Skype - show the printout and so that the account name is visible (most likely they will check). If you are a neighbor on the site - an extract with the address (data on the place of residence of the inviter is also in the database). And if something doesn’t work out ... be prepared that they will refuse and, among other things, they will not give you a visa. The Germans are neat people (at least in the consulate), although of course they are people too. There are mistakes. Please check the dates carefully! and preferably immediately at the window after receiving the documents. ON ALL BORDERS of Europe can check the visa and with great predilection.

a copy of the work is needed! it is implied in the list of documents from work (at work they even know this, they should know).
MAXIMUM DOCUMENTS NEEDED. even those that may not be on the list but may influence the outcome of the decision.
if you put one extra paper, then you will not lose. that's for sure.
