We arrived in Karlovy Vary on October 9 in the early morning from Prague airport (we arrived in 1.5 hours). The city met us with peace, silence, clean air and the smell of withering autumn leaves, which did not leave us during the entire stay (until October 15) in this fabulous and cozy, kind of native place.

Hotel "Palacki" is located in an old, very beautiful building in a convenient location, where it is close to everything: from colonnades with sources of healing Karlovy Vary water, shops, a bus stop of the city bus, on which we got to the Lower Station, from where we traveled for 1 day to Prague (2 hours drive to the Florenc station in Prague)... However, it is not far from the Lower Station and on foot - only 20 minutes. not a quick walk... We left the hotel immediately on the embankment of the Tepl River, where ducks and pigeons were fed bread daily. At 5 min. walk from the hotel - a funicular that lifted us up the mountain (560 m above sea level), from where we saw the whole city from the observation tower, and around - the forest and the Ore Mountains... In 15 minutes. walk from the hotel - Sberbank ATM (which is important! ), very close - the Baroque Church of St. . Mary Magdalene, whose bell voice is unobtrusive and muffled every 15 minutes. reminded us of the transience of time... The room is spacious, clean and warm (the heating was already working), the furniture is in the vintage style, in harmony with the architecture of the building itself. The hotel staff is friendly, smiling, friendly, Russian-speaking. But what about: more than half of the guests of the city are our compatriots! Bed linen (new and snow-white) was changed 2 times during the week, towels - every other day. The bathroom - spacious and bright - bathtub, shower, toilet, bidet, washbasin. But none of the amenities of a hotel room can be compared with the magnificent, mostly Gothic and Baroque, architecture of the city, its beautiful nature, clean and transparent air, which created an atmosphere of daily elevated, even sublime, mood and peace, combined with luxurious, as if by order, autumn weather, mostly warm and sunny... I would especially like to say about the delicious Czech cuisine: it is very tasty and healthy, and portions in the Czech Republic are served such that you can share it with a friend without regret! The water in the springs - from slightly warm to hot - tastes good, we drank it constantly, walking along the Promenade, even in the taps the water (as the natives say) is so clean that even children can drink from them (and we drank). Apparently, the purity of Czech water determines the excellent quality of the famous Czech beer from ancient times! Usually, after 5 days of being abroad, I am drawn home, and it was sad to leave Karlovy Vary... Only 3 days have passed since the day of arrival, and already I am drawn back there , to those lovely gardens, corners and streets, to the land of comfort and a fabulously wonderful atmosphere of peace, silence and beauty...

Wonderful hotel! Located in the very center of the spa area of Karlovy Vary. It stands on the banks of the river Teplaya. It is considered as one of the oldest buildings, from the second half of the XIII century. From the windows you can see the Vridel colonnade and the Grand Hotel Pupp. Service is great, staff is very friendly.
