My husband and child and I decided to travel a bit around Europe and then undergo treatment for two weeks in Vary, so we chose the only suitable way - by car. We already had Schengen multivisas, so it only remained to choose a hotel. This is not the first time we have been in Vary and we decided to experiment a little: the Spoiled Plaza and Pupp decided to bypass it and started looking for a 4+ hotel based on reviews. I looked all over the Internet, listened to the opinions of my friends and decided to try Ambiente (there are a lot of good reviews on the Internet). I was a little embarrassed by the frequent reviews of repairs that began back in 2010, but I decided that 2 years for repairs is a lot, and if it happens, it will already be insignificant. I GUESS!
We arrived at the hotel already around 9 pm, the car was left under the camera at the entrance to the hotel. At the reception, we were met by a friendly young man Ruslan, who immediately made sure that they waited for us in the kitchen and fed us dinner (we were very afraid to arrive late and be left without dinner, and the possible need to look for something at night was depressing). Knowing that we would not be left without dinner, we were already satisfied in advance and went up to the room - it was an apartment on the 3rd floor (302). Very spacious two-room suite with a spacious bathroom. New beautiful furniture, cozy sofas, flat-screen TVs in every room with Russian channels (ORT, RTR-Planeta, NTV, etc. ). And! ! Air conditioning! (as I found out a little later, air conditioners were only recently made throughout the hotel). In the heat, it turned out to be very handy : ) Very clean! Towels, bathrobes, slippers and a complete set of hotel cosmetics.
We washed off the road, changed clothes and went down to the restaurant at 21.15 (it was written at the entrance that the restaurant was open until 21:00). A smiling and helpful waiter Pavel was waiting for us (it was very unexpected to see a smile, knowing that, in theory, he could already go home and we didn’t sew a mare’s tail at the same time : )). We sat down at a table by the open window, which had a magnificent view of the church. There are candles on the table, very romantic. We were very surprised, again, it's nice that lunches and dinners are a buffet. Moreover, in 4 chefs, we were not waiting for the remnants of a cold dinner, but freshly prepared insanely delicious pancakes, goulash, pork knee, red mullet and a choice of 4 side dishes. To this all 6! ! different salads and it was all VERY TASTY. I don’t eat much, especially after 6, but this evening I tried absolutely everything! The restaurant serves fresh beer light Pilsen and black Kozel, but we are wine lovers and decided to take a bottle of red from the road (a large selection of French wines). Great dinner, great wines, and delicious desserts. Were insanely grateful for such an AMAZING LATE RECEPTION! .
Having eaten to full, drunk and tired, they immediately went to bed. The beds are quite comfortable, as we later found out with double-sided mattresses firmer and softer.
In the morning we had breakfast (an insanely delicious cottage cheese casserole), again everything was with a smile and care. And we went to the balneo to sign up for procedures. And here only friendliness, courtesy, smiles and professionalism! We were immediately received by Dr. Pector (he listened, examined, prescribed procedures, prescribed a drinking regimen).
I will not describe every day, because. Every day was top notch! For the entire two weeks stay at the hotel, the food was excellent, the treatments very good and the staff very professional. Therefore, I will write the brightest impressions and comments:
The only disappointment was: The pool was closed : ( Through the glass separating the balneo from the pool, you can see that water is bubbling in the pool and jacuzzi. The fact is that, as it turned out, they just finished the pool, arranged the furniture, etc. and are now waiting for a commission from the municipality to to make an official opening. I must say that the pool is very beautiful. The manager Anya took us around the pool, showed and told everything. There they have everything: Turkish sauna (Hamam), Finnish sauna, sea climate room (pool and jacuzzi I already mentioned ), all sorts of entertaining showers, a bucket of cold water and new rooms with massage baths (I have never seen such baths anywhere else, with TVs, huge, with a bunch of functions) - as we were told, the baths were ordered in the USA and in the Czech Republic there are no such baths anywhere else, what something super new.
So, we would have remained dissatisfied with the fact that the pool was closed, if on one insanely hot day off we were not offered to swim! : ))) Can you imagine? ? The pool is closed, but they took us and offered it? Nowhere else in the world in a hotel have we met with such care! Oh yes, the sea water pool!
Of the minuses (few and small), I can only note the lack of Internet in the rooms, but it is everywhere on the 1st floor (reception, lobby bar), and also catches, but worse in the balneo and in the restaurant. BUT! Rest is what rest is for, so I think that it is not really needed. If someone needs to check their mail, sit on Skype or something else - we go to the lobby bar and it's all in the bag. The Internet is free, and for those who do not have a computer, there is a computer with a video camera and Skype.
All repairs at the hotel are completed, the pool is ready, they finished repairing the beauty parlor just at the very beginning of our stay. Everything is beautiful and tasteful, no costly noise (as I said, only construction sites were afraid, because they read reviews).
Cosmetology in the hotel at a fairly high level. As I found out, there will even be an opportunity to do Botox, for which a cosmetologist from Russia will come). I tried all the masks, all the massages (including the Thai massage that Thai Pon does - it's very painful, but very good : )
We are leaving home tomorrow, reluctantly, with a great desire to return once again to the Hotel Ambiente. We leave refreshed and healed. The city is beautiful, the weather is good. I have already thanked all the staff. I'm shocked! I found "my" hotel! It is very noticeable that the owner cares about the level of the hotel and the convenience of vacationers!
Oh yes, I forgot to say that while we were at the procedures, the manager Anya was engaged in our child (it turned out she was an artist and even the stained glass window that she made in their pool - BEAUTIFUL! ). Every evening the child asked if he would draw with Anya tomorrow. Anya told us that so far they have not made drawing and child care an official offer of the hotel, but in the near future they will make a children's room and introduce such a service. in the meantime, she will take care of our child simply, without payment. REPRESENT? No, I have not encountered this anywhere.
I am full of impressions! I will definitely return to Vary in the spring and only in Ambiente!

We were going to KV for the first time, we didn’t know the hotel base at all. Many thanks to everyone who helped me in a difficult choice.
We arrived in Ambiente at about 10 o'clock, the room was still being cleaned, we were offered to go up to the medical center for now.
Daniela, a wonderful nurse, met us at the center, entered our data into the database, and made an appointment with the doctor. I immediately liked the medical center - clean, comfortable, modern. Orchids, sofas for relaxing, a cooler (someone complained that there was none), very friendly and helpful staff.
After that, we walked to the source of Vrzhidlo, located literally nearby.
We got a room in the second building on the 5th (4th) floor, from the windows there was a beautiful view of Karlovy Vary and the Cathedral of St. Mary Magdalene. An "ambush" with beds was immediately discovered - there were two of them, but they were so shifted and twisted that they were, in fact, one rookery. I traveled with my mother, 68 years old, the two of us in the same, practically, bed were not particularly comfortable. Also not pleased with the cramped shower. The rest was not bad - linen, towels and bathrobes are white and clean, the furniture allows you to place all things, a new LCD TV, creams, shampoos, cotton swabs, slippers, the woolen carpet is clean and not worn. Perhaps there are rooms with a larger bathroom, but we decided not to bother and stay in this room, given what we knew about the construction going on in the main building. The maids cleaned well, they were not lazy.
The doctor Antonin Pektor, an attentive elderly doctor, took me in, asked in detail, read the tests, suggested all the procedures that we planned for ourselves after reading the forums. The cost of treatment includes one main procedure per day and two additional, gas injections, as I understand it, no one thinks, take as much as you want, in addition to the procedures. What I didn’t like is that there are no procedures either on the day of arrival or on the day of departure, i. e. one paid day of treatment is lost. But, unlike other Karlovy Vary sanatoriums, there are procedures on Saturday and Sunday.
They prescribed: general massage, reflex foot massage, apparatus lymphatic drainage, parafango, magnetotherapy, pearl and carbonic baths, dry CO, floating, gas injections. I liked everything, everything came up, except for the magnets, after which my heart ached. The drinking regime prescribed by the doctor also came up immediately.
The masseurs are professionals, they work conscientiously, it is better to go to the men (Volodymyr and Slavek).
Gas injections are given by both nurses and a female doctor, the doctor's hand is lighter: ) the procedure, after all, is very painful.
You can get to the medical center from both buildings without going outside.
Restaurant. At the first visit, we were very surprised that the doctor suggested to my mother (with her high sugar) to eat from the general table, without diet and restrictions, since we found many tasty and completely non-dietary dishes there. I came across very different opinions about the cuisine in Ambient, I will write my personal one - I really liked it. Venison, rabbit in cream, salmon, cod with cumin, pork and beef, fried cheese, tuna salads, mozzarella, for lovers always - buckwheat, oatmeal, semolina. I can’t say that all this happened at the same time : ), but you could always choose something tasty and something lighter on the table. Sometimes there were snacks, such as eggs with flying fish roe or puff pastries with meat, sometimes they made desserts from pumpkin with nuts and raisins. A large number of fresh fruits - kiwi, peaches, nectarines, apples, bananas, pears, plums, melon, pineapple, grapes. On the salad table there are always fresh tomatoes and cucumbers, olives and black olives, iceberg or arugula salads, and besides, vinaigrette and Russian salad : ))) We also liked the service in the restaurant, the waitresses worked quickly and were polite and helpful , chef Matas (special thanks to him! ) always made sure that there were enough dishes and they were hot. The dishes are clean, tablecloths and napkins are snow-white and starched. From all the windows of the restaurant you have a beautiful view of the cathedral, very nice. Tea can be taken during breakfast for free, at lunch and dinner - for money (30 crowns), you can buy any drinks at the bar, they serve good French wine (60 crowns per glass).
Birthday. It was my mother's birthday, a delegation from the cook and accompanying persons came to our room with a present from the hotel - a small bottle of champagne, a large fruit basket and a greeting card from the hotel. Guys, thank you very much! it is always pleasant to receive unexpected congratulations, and it is doubly important for an elderly person!
Apologies. As I already wrote, the hotel is building a swimming pool. For several days it was very noisy - impact drills were working and a truck crane was breaking out the wall. For those who lived in that building, it was probably sad. The administration, as an apology for the noise, offered some activities. At the time of our stay, there was a free trip to the pool, a free excursion to Dresden, some procedures were free of charge (for those who had not paid for the treatment). We went to Dresden and had a good time. But the noise didn't really bother us. If we lived "above the drills", Dresden would hardly console us : )
In general, the hotel left the most pleasant impressions. I think when they open the pool there, it will be, in general, great.
P. S. Free Wi-Fi at the reception and in the cafe, it also catches partially in the medical center and restaurant. In the cafe, vacationers leave books, there is a little in Russian.
Karlovy Vary and health. I did not expect such a stunning effect from the treatment! Mom has a duodenal ulcer, second-degree diabetes, arthrosis. In two weeks, the knee stopped hurting, which simply interfered with walking normally, sugar "fell" to normal, despite the fact that my mother "came off" there for croissants, sausages, potatoes - all that she never eats at home. The doctor turned out to be right - taking mineral water allows you to do without a special diet. Sugar continued to decline for some time after our return home.
The city itself is just amazing! And in architecture, and in nature, and in atmosphere. It's very nice to be there. I am sure that we will come to HF more than once, probably in Ambiente (we will just take singles), and we will bring the rest of our family members, friends and neighbors : ))))

Just arrived from Karlovy Vary. Rested in & quot; Ambient" . The hotel is close to the Geyser (convenient), the rooms face the street (not convenient), there are no air conditioners in the rooms (probably creepy in summer). Power on & quot; 4" . The treatment is unqualified, there are no mineral, pearl baths, the pool is under construction (((.
