What type of food is better for a holiday in Cyprus?
I'm going to rest in Cyprus for the first time in July-August, but I'm not familiar with half-board meals in practice, I always took all-inclusive. In the descriptions of hotels, mostly "half board".

During the day you can also dine in local cafes, there are enough of them in Cyprus

If without small children (you never know when and what it wants to eat, so it’s somehow calmer on the all-inclusive), then you can safely take it. And to dine in local restaurants is a pleasure, and the prices are quite reasonable.

We also had such a rest in Cyprus. I think it is convenient and in this case you will not get bored with the food of the hotel. In the end, you will always have the opportunity to try something new for lunch. Please note that the choice of food in hotels in Cyprus is less than in Turkey or Egypt, because HB is the most acceptable option.

Even just breakfast is enough.
Dinner is much more pleasant in authentic local restaurants, on the seashore to the sound of the waves, than in a hotel.

For holidays in Cyprus, the HB food system is a very good option. Dinner, if necessary, can be changed for lunch, just go to the reception.
sigur62, with all due respect to you, I do not agree with your last phrase. It all depends on the specific hotel.

Good evening dear! I'll try to justify.
Maybe the hotel food is really great, everyone has their own taste. May be. But the fact that you have to eat at a hotel at a certain time, for example, have dinner strictly from 19 to 21, is unacceptable for me. On different days, depending on the circumstances, we dine differently, when at 17 o'clock, and when at 22. That's why I am a supporter of paid breakfasts at the hotel. Only breakfasts.

We are all different, it was convenient for us to have dinner at the hotel restaurant in the interval from 19 to 22 hours. And as for the wonderful hotel food, it's not so much a matter of taste as the star rating of the hotel.
I don’t know how it is in other hotels, in Greshian Park everything was more than wonderful, otherwise we would not have rested there for 2 years in a row. A very worthy option.

Yes, I do not doubt your taste, dear.
I have already tuned in to visit your beloved Protaras, and calmly and thoughtfully take a break from the hustle and bustle there.

I just came from Lebanon. so I can say that I myself was surprised but I ate 2 times a day. breakfast at 9-10 o'clock in the morning, and then dinner when I want. it happened at 17.00 and it happened at 21.00 in the interval only juices and fruits.
surprised herself. since I used to eat 5 times a day...
half board is quite acceptable for countries such as Cyprus or Greece. (and for a number of others as well).

What budget are you on. Half board is very good. The cafe is not that cheap. Supermarkets also have low prices. But this is for whom. We were in the top three, the food is very good and did not regret that we took breakfast + dinner.

I agree with you. Last year we were in Paphos. Took half board to try the local cuisine for lunch. Breakfasts and dinners at the hotel were plentiful and delicious. For 8 days for dinner, we didn’t even try everything. After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, I didn’t want to dine in the heat (only drinks and ice cream were ordered in the cafe). And I didn’t want to miss dinner at the hotel, because the chef was in his place - there were at least 8 main dishes and they took 8 days did not repeat. One evening we decided to dine seafood meze at a seaside restaurant, while looking at the menu, our neighbors were already being served fish meze. The waiters kept carrying and carrying plates - there was no empty space on the table. We measured our strength and ordered moussaka and halloumi (sheep cheese).
Fruit bought in a supermarket. Prices in grocery stores are even slightly lower than in Kyiv.
My opinion, if the budget is limited, take half board, it's cheaper than in a cafe. If possible, then breakfast - Cypriot cuisine is very tasty (lamb, vegetable dishes) and every trip to a restaurant is a small holiday.
