1) Very good olive oil soap, it is gentle, very pleasant even for dry skin and very fragrant.
2) A couple of small bottles of wine will also come in handy. Cypriot wine is very tasty, fragrant, real.
3) You can bring home from Cyprus a package of pickled olives (in a vacuum), they are very tasty and not at all like our olives and black olives in iron cans.
4) In Cyprus, you can buy a lot of beautiful silver and good clothes from European brands, or simple T-shirts or tunics with Greek and Cypriot symbols.
There is a problem with shoes.
5) There is beautiful ceramics (plates on the door, plates, cups).

6) Carob syrup. Exclusively Cypriot product, cleanses the digestive tract, all tourists are willing to buy. The label will say in Greek: XAPOYPOMELO.
7) Delight. Delicious and fragrant oriental sweetness. It is sold in deutiks when flying home, but in the markets, the peasant one is tastier.
8) Metaxa. Decent and not very expensive alcohol with a tart taste. Much cheaper in dutik than in stores.

sigur62, thank you for the additions!) Pleasant cooperation!

Thank you very much! Are there any good spices? I brought different spices from Greece, all cool, fragrant, natural.
аватар Info-turism
Yes, they have a lot of delicious and fragrant spices.
It will be possible to buy small beautiful bottles of olive oil and various spices there (worth about 2-5 euros).

It's so nice that you answered right away! Thank you! I'll stock up on spices again :)

Grocery stores have large sets of dry spices and spices, they are packed simply, in the form of a long polyethylene tape with many sections ("accordion"), there are 10-12 different aromatic spices at once. They weigh a little, and bring them easily. But it’s better not to carry flavored olive oil in your luggage, but to make it yourself, at home, adding any spices to taste to a bottle of oil.
Even in Cyprus, delicious herbal teas, due to the abundance of the sun, these gatherings have a completely different taste and aroma than ours. They are also packed in large packs, I recommend looking (rose, mint, etc.)

I really liked the Cypriot honey, my relatives appreciated the brandy, I brought donkeys, the symbol of Cyprus, for the employees, I really liked the handmade lace.
аватар Izabella___
Thank you! My whole family loves honey.

I usually bring:
1. Spices in sets from 5 to 12 euros, these are both mono spices and already mixed specifically for traditional dishes of Cypriot - Greek cuisine (it will be written on the bag for which ones).
2. Olive oil. I will not paint.
3. Olives in vacuum packaging or jars. This was also mentioned.
4. Local Halloumi cheese. Well, I really appreciate it! )))
5. Zivania. Traditional Cypriot grape vodka at 45 degrees (whoever calls this drink of the gods moonshine, let them throw a stone at me !!!))). It happens and is stronger, but I personally did not look.
6. Metaxa and Ouzo. Also alcoholic drinks. Well, here, rather, hello to Greece! )))
7. Products from silver and gold. Yourself, beloved. I like the Carats chain of stores.
8. All sorts of nice little things for the house. Starting from simple inexpensive towels - tacks - aprons to handmade lace products. Very beautiful fans!
9. Body cosmetics based on olive oil. Not even soap, but shower gels and lotions.
10. I love buying bags in Cyprus! All colors and sizes!
11. Sweets. Lokum, baklava, halva, traditional types of cookies - kourabiedes, melomakarona, amygdalot, etc. Delicious chocolate sweets with coconut flakes, cost 2 euros.

A little bit more.
12. This year I came across magnets - puzzles with views of Cyprus: both a magnet and fun! )))
13. For a child (15 years old), I bring t-shirts with funny inscriptions. Of course, everything is censored! (Obscene also comes across!)
14. Girlfriends ask for linen bags. I bring, the price is 2.5 euros.
There are many accessories in Cyprus - fakes of famous world brands: bags, wallets, belts... I do not approve, although I bought myself a headband - "like Ch *** l"! ))) There is also a perfume, but the smells do not match at all!
And so, there are plenty of magnets, plates, vases, beach towels, mugs and other "resort" souvenirs!
аватар Stanka
I forgot about coffee! On the way to tea! )))
аватар sigur62
Coffee in Cyprus is bullshit. I declare responsibly, like an old coffee lover. Sheer bullshit, no offense.
аватар Stanka
And I li! )))
аватар sigur62
It happens)))
But honey is really good, its aroma is bright and thick.
More about fakes. The watch is surprisingly cheap and good. Sometimes it’s true, it’s very large for the entire dial - Rolex! This is for ten euros)))
аватар Izabella___
Well, just a big thank you to Stanka! Now I won't need to come up with gifts myself at all.
аватар Stanka
You are welcome! Maybe something else will come in handy! )))
аватар Izabella___
I think I will speak on spices and olive oil first of all :)
аватар Stanka
Good luck! I "performed" this year in olive oil so much that I had an excess of luggage! )))
аватар Izabella___
We also carried it from Greece in our luggage, and then in the duty free in Thessaloniki we saw oil in canisters of 3 and 5 liters at the same prices as in stores and bought another 3 liters :) greed :) and in Cyprus duty free is expensive ?We are flying to Pophos via Larnaca.
аватар Stanka
Prices for Cypriot goods in a dutik in Larnaca are higher than in stores. Souvenir trifle twice exactly, oil-spices for 3-4 euros. I don’t know about alcohol, perfumes, cosmetics, I don’t buy ...
аватар sigur62
About dutik. Alcohol is significantly cheaper. Olive oil was more expensive, because it was packaged in a beautiful gift box, if you take it for yourself, it is unreasonable. Lokum in beautiful boxes, good for gifts, but not fragrant, some kind of fresh, maybe it should be, I don’t know. In general, it’s usually more convenient for us to pack everything well at the hotel so that we don’t wrinkle Turkish delight, and don’t shy around the airport like loaded camels, and in the dutik we take only booze home.
аватар sent2008
I didn’t like the Cypriot Turkish delight, it didn’t taste like anything. Sweets, such as churchkhela, were also not impressive. And sweets with coconut flakes are very tasty. And I didn’t like the coffee, they didn’t find it in beans, they bought it ground, but the degree of grinding is such that my coffee machine didn’t “see” it, they brewed it in a Turk, the muck is still the same.
аватар Izabella___
Thank you! I have a similar impression of Greek coffee. We also bought ground coffee at home, since we are coffee lovers. It was also crushed into dust and the taste was weak. And for 2 euros we were brewed Turkish coffee in taverns and it didn’t impress the taste, moreover, in a cup of thick more than liquids.
аватар sigur62
The Greeks in Greece and Cyprus make some strange and dumb drink out of coffee: they mix coffee, milk, mineral water, sugar, ice, and this cold brew is pulled through a tube from tall glasses. I tried it - a rare muck, the taste reminded me of the Barley Ear drink from my youth.
