The room has air conditioning, mini-fridge, ironing board and iron, hair dryer, TV with 1 Russian-language channel. The room is only lit by floor lamps. The bathroom contained 2 shampoos of 40 ml, 2 body creams and 2 bars of soap, added as needed or requested. We had enough.
We only went to the kids club to swing, but several times we went to the mini-disco (my daughter said that "it is not necessary to understand, you have to repeat after your aunt"). Animation for children in Spanish, English and a little Italian and French, since the main contingent of tourists are Canadians and Italians.
We went to the main restaurant to eat, there is a lot of food: there is meat, fish, and shrimp, for lunch and dinner there are 2 types of soup, papaya, guava, pineapple, watermelon (not sweet at all), grapefruit and oranges, a lot of pastries, different types of Italian cheeses and sausages. But spices are practically not used, so the food seems bland. True, they always put up a lot of different ketchup sauces.
We were lucky with the weather: we arrived a few days after a cold front, a strong wind was blowing, so it was not hot and there were waves on the ocean, the water temperature in the ocean and pool was 26 degrees (it’s cool to enter the water, but then you don’t want to go out). The waves don't hit hard, they don't blow you off your feet. Then the wind died down and it became hot, 32 degrees. Sometimes it drizzled with a fine rain, 5 minutes during the day and longer at night.
There are plenty of sunbeds on the beach and around the pool. The beach is cleaned, the sand is cleaned in the morning. The ocean is magnificent, all shades of blue and blue, with your eyes you see the reality as in the picture. But the sand is not white, but light beige-gray...
In the evening the wind is cool and you need a blouse or a windbreaker, especially for children, and especially at the mini-disco - there is generally a strong draft on the stage. Every evening there is live music in the lobby, and at 21.30 performance on stage (dance or concert). Several times a day, there is a free shuttle from the hotel to the center of Varadero, there is a timetable to the left of the reception.
To the left of the hotel within walking distance of the dolphinarium, for children the most it is: the performance is about 35 minutes, various tricks with dolphins, well done coaches.
There are a few mosquitoes, a repellent for the evening is a must, but in the room our repellent did not work on mosquitoes, they turned on the air conditioner at night, oddly enough, but it helped.
The service is normal, everyone loves tips, they will make them stronger for cookies and coffee, and they will mix the cocktail better. We had problems with the electronic door lock (it was buggy), so by the time I got to the room from the reception, they had already fixed it-)).
Impressions from the rest and the hotel are only positive.
The beach is clean, white sand, clear water, and most importantly warm-warm. I just didn’t want to get out of it... probably that’s why I managed to get burned several times during the rest.
As for entertainment, the prices are not cheap. I went on a jeep safari (I liked it !! ), went to the dolphinarium (swimmed with dolphins, I was impressed for several days, only the water where they swim is terrible. Muddy. I was upset that I was in a white swimsuit) but this did not spoil the main impression from swimming with them. )))
we often went to the city on motorcycles, it is about 10 km from the hotel, there are many shops and markets where you can buy souvenirs.
The food is very tasty, the menu is the same every day, but if you consider how much there is, then every day you can try something different and thus diversify. Too bad there wasn't any fruit. there were watermelons, which are green and not sweet, and pineapples, slightly rotten... but this is a trifle. there is so much food that you can’t even reach them.
they have awesome rum, be sure to bring it with you, it costs a penny there, but here it is very expensive. It's a pity that you can only take 2 liters of rum per person. By the way, hotels often offer to buy (not officially) cigars. it's kind of cheaper. but I do not recommend. if you see a real cigar and what they offer, you will immediately feel the difference. although the boxes in which they are stored are very similar. I know that it is possible in Havana on a tour of the factory, for the same money to negotiate with the guards, and they will also take out from under the floor, only good cigars.
I know that september, october, november is a bad time to stay there. they have just winter, the time of showers and hurricanes.
I was satisfied with my vacation!
