I stayed with my husband and son in July 2012. I have not written a review for a long time, but now I decided to write a couple of lines, maybe my review will be useful to someone. Cuba itself is a very modest country where tourism is developing not so long ago. Excursions are not particularly interesting. We flew to the island of Cayo Largo. The money that was given for it, it is not worth it at all. Liked Havana. The architecture is very beautiful, built by the Spaniards of the 17th-18th centuries. Were on some other excursion, in the village where the Indians lived. Also so-so. All excursions are very expensive, even in Mexico they were cheaper. Now about the hotel. The hotel, when compared with the Dominican hotel, I would put, quite adequately, 3-ku. Service, territory, especially food, leave much to be desired. The food was very monotonous and most of it was not tasty. They even managed to spoil the lobsters in such a way that it was not clear how they cooked them at all.... Everything in the rooms is old, shabby, shabby. But we were still tolerable, but the other pair was completely 3-ku. One consolation was that against the background of other hotels, ours was more or less. . . The beaches in Varadero are also not the best, do not believe it! Go to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, there are much more luxurious beaches and the ocean! And the price is much cheaper too. Generally speaking, I was not impressed with Cuba. Didn't surprise me. It is a pity for the considerable money left there.
