Stayed with a friend in this hotel. We flew calmly - we slept almost the entire flight. Upon arrival, a free PCR test (total time before departure is about 2 hours). The hotel was settled within 10 minutes, although it was early in the morning. The hotel is filled to a maximum of 30% - mostly all Russians (a couple of Spanish-speaking people). The rooms are basic, renovated quite old, but very spacious. As for food: if you don’t expect any special frills (especially for the money), then it’s quite tolerable. Liked restaurants by appointment (especially Japanese). A lot of papaya and guava, there are salads, fish meat. Fed 24 hours a day - just do not get hungry.
The sea is magnificent, there are enough places on the beach and in the restaurant. For drinks: wine, cocktails, rum. The coolest thing is the ANIMATION! A super team that entertains all day long: aerobics, dancing, volleyball, bingo, evening performances. Unrealistically positive people who love what is local and very cheerful, dancing is amazing, there are lessons for those who want to learn.
From entertainment outside the hotel: a tour of Varadero in a convertible, caves (were closed), Al Capone's house, a walk with diving. From the travel agency: a whole day on a catamaran and dinner with a show (did not go). By currency: dollar = euro. So it's probably better to take dollars.
