After reading reviews on hotels, not only on this one, I got the impression that most people traveling to Cuba go only to have the opportunity to snort or dig up all the worst that is available here, although if you search well, you can find anywhere. Despite the fact that the rooms in the hotel are not very new, to put it mildly, they are clean and well-groomed, the maids try to clean everything and please, and if you leave a little tip, cute figures from towels will grow in the room. Again, no one goes to sit in the rooms, perhaps only a few, but to admire the excellent nature, the unique atmosphere of friendliness and joy, and the unique culture, unlike anything else. The hotel is very beautiful. There are many pools, there is an excellent bar that works around the clock and you can have a good tasty hamburger or pizza at any time. In the main restaurant, the menu is repeated, but at the same time, an excellent choice of meat and fish dishes, seafood, ripe juicy fruits, and you can also visit a la carte restaurants twice for free, it was especially interesting and tasty in Italian, I highly recommend. And this hotel is located 10 minutes from the center of the resort, from which all the most interesting entertainment is within walking distance. I highly recommend the hotel for young people, especially since there are excellent bars and clubs nearby, where there is no place for boredom. I strongly advise instead of tipping to leave hygiene products or various children's trifles for the maids, this will have more delight, perhaps the money goes to something else, and it is unlikely that the local population will be able to afford these simple little things. The country is very poor, do not skimp on tips and in return you will receive excellent service, which in relation and class will be much higher than 4, and it will cost relatively inexpensively. Our room shone, constantly put extra beer and water. The beach at the hotel is just a fairy tale, the ocean is uniquely beautiful and warm, the sand is fine and pleasant. In the bar by the bridge, through the deepest gorge, they drank the most delicious pinocolade for 2.75 cookies. Guides from agencies do not give such excursions. The Cybanacan guide at the hotel was present every day. It was present!! ! Enthusiasm in the work was not particularly observed. To all our demands to come to the hotel and deal with the situation, she replied that she was busy with tourists (and then we wonder who ???!!!!!! ) and offered to call Moscow and sort it out there (in Moscow at that time there were 4 morning!!!!! ). We continue to scandal in the hotel ourselves. Half an hour later we again hear on the phone Olga Iraola's refusal to come to the hotel and help us!!!! ! We have to run into her already, but she doesn’t care!! ! It's not my job and that's it!!! ! In another half an hour (total for two hours of fighting) we find ourselves one step away from victory. The hotel offers us, with the desire to get rid of us, a room in another hotel "Saratoga" 5 * with a view of the Capitol in the very center of Havana without any additional payments !!! ! The replacement is clearly better. Then we wait another half hour for the taxi that was allegedly called for us. Without waiting for a taxi, having expressed everything that has already burned up (and it burned a lot and with good matyuks), we leave ourselves by catching a taxi 10 meters from the hotel. The result of the whole situation - if you want to get something, take it yourself !!!! ! Do not retreat, and do not give up, as the musketeers said!!! ))))) Turn on the first speed on your rink and forward to the break!!!! ! If you go through Cubanacan, the guides in Havana don't give a damn about you!!!! ! If you want to make your vacation a success, make an effort yourself and everything will be great, you shouldn’t rely on the host side much !!! ! In general, I really liked Havana itself. The next day we again took a private guide and enjoyed a walk around the city. An unusual old, sometimes shabby colonial city has its own charm. The evening ended with a delicious dinner at the restaurant "Los Nardas", located in the house opposite the Capitol on the 2nd floor. Delicious cocktails and extraordinary baked fish are just huge. Highly recommended for lovers of gastronomic pleasures. Lunch for two of us plus a guide cost 40 cookies. p. s. don't get me wrong, I wouldn't say I'm picky, but when you buy 5* and get 2-3*, you get really frustrated. I just arrived, I have a very negative impression. I paid 23.000 p for 17 days for two, two years ago I paid 9.000 for 4 * (located not far) - it was better.

p. s. don't get me wrong, I wouldn't say I'm picky, but when you buy 5* and get 2-3*, you get really frustrated. I just arrived, I have a very negative impression. I paid 23.000 p for 17 days for two, two years ago I paid 9.000 for 4 * (located not far) - it was better.

The hotel is located in the center of Havana, next to the theater and the Capitol. However, in the evening it was almost impossible to see Havana (the language barrier interfered), and in the morning we left for Varadero. Tip: it’s better to go to Havana with a tour, you can see at least without knowing the language. The Inglaterra Hotel is advertised as a four-star hotel, but it falls far short of the indicated number of stars. However, the building is very old, in the elevator cabin the date of construction -1870 is indicated! Therefore, there is a certain aura and refers to falling out electrical outlets in the room, probably, it is necessary with humor. In the evening, musicians perform and you can dance to Latin American rhythms. There is hot and cold water, though I had to ask through a representative for toilet paper in the room, in addition, for some reason there was no bar. Safe is paid - 2 cookies per day, but is in the room. Calculation for the safe at the time of delivery of the room. In the morning we walked around Havana and at 10.00 we went to Varadero with a Spanish-speaking group. The view from the bridge on the road to Varadero is just wonderful. We arrived at the hotel, there was no company representative. On fingers and with English words from the school curriculum, we realized that we were offered to take towels and go to the beach before settling in. After a while, my husband found a left-luggage office and here we had the opportunity to go to a common restaurant and take a walk around the Barcelo Solimar hotel. It should be noted that the check-in time at the hotel is 4 pm, and the check-out time is at 12 pm. Hotel Barcelo Solimar is very bright and elegant. Located on the first line, there are standard rooms and rooms in bungalows. Advice to those who will go to this particular hotel: there are almost no Russians there, 80% are Canadians, a few Mexicans, there are Peruvians, Germans. The Germans, immigrants from the Soviet Union, became our companions and translators. The service at the hotel is very unobtrusive. Be prepared for the fact that not all towels will be brought to you from time to time, and beach towels are snapped up quickly at 9 o'clock in the morning. However, (this is a plus! ) I do not belong to the category of alcoholics, but I really like brut champagne. So, every morning at breakfast you could enjoy this drink, especially since it was well chilled. In general, the impression was that Varadero is a small reservation for tourists, you will not find real Cuban life there. Life is a holiday there. However, in Havana - the same. It is striking that, in general, far from rich people are very friendly and cheerful. By the way, apart from towels, we had no inconvenience. The Russian Germans were unlucky, their room was located above the hall on the 1st floor and very cheerful Canadians could party until the morning with cheerful shouts and songs. Luckily we didn't hear anything. The animation is good and, in fact, without knowing the language, it was possible to make out what was happening. The hotel has 3 restaurants, we visited two: sea and Italian. Lobster is an amateur dish, or we didn’t understand something, but the Italian restaurant is very good, so I advise you. On excursions: We went on two: Special Havana and the Bay of Pigs. The excursion to Havana was spoiled by a nervous guide, who yelled and fussed not always by the way, besides, he did not understand everything in Russian. Havana is a wonderful city! The architecture is amazing! I want to see every building. The show "Tropicana" did not please, besides, we had bad seats (the third, he is the last row). Yes, and the Capitol is under restoration, the Museum of the Revolution, too. Souvenir market cheaper than Varadero. It takes a special talent to describe Havana, so it's best to see this city and enjoy its aura. I liked the Bay of Pigs - because the Caribbean Sea is different from the Atlantic Ocean, and we also had a good guide who could joke and spoke very good Russian. I can safely recommend this trip to anyone, as there were no dissatisfied in our group. Why did we only go on 2 excursions, although usually I prefer active tourism, and not a rookery on the beach. Everything is very simple, our guide told us about the jeep safari in such a way that we did not want to go and, judging by the reviews, we did the right thing. In addition, they wanted to go fishing, but did not find a couple, and when they did, the weather turned bad, although I really wanted to swim with dolphins. (relaxation is amazing, I know, because I swam with them in Thailand). Another tip, if you didn’t have time to buy souvenirs, then when you fly out in a duty-free shop, buy even cheaper than in Varadero. (when departing from Havana). By the way, rum is also cheaper there, but there is no brand of Santiago de Cuba, but it is very good. In our hotel it cost 11.90 cu, in shops it is more expensive. My dream came true, I visited Cuba and now I need to find a new travel destination. Maybe it will be Mexico or Peru. . .

In August 2010 we went to Cuba and stayed at this hotel. I liked everything very much. We had booked a room in a standard bungalow. However, upon arrival there were no free bungalows and we were offered a room with an ocean view with a surcharge. We refused to pay extra and in the end they gave us this room for free.

The food at the hotel is excellent and varied. They gave mussels, crabs, shrimp from seafood, lobsters were served in a seafood restaurant. Lots of meat dishes. The attitude of the staff is excellent, but it is necessary, as in other things and everywhere in Cuba, to leave a tip. Alcoholic drinks, both local and imported. I liked the animation too. The hotel is located 500 meters from the city of Vorodero, so you can walk to the city on foot. The hotel mainly stops young people from different countries. In general, fun, but you need to know at least spoken English.
