My opinion about the hotel is that there are some shortcomings and nuances that need to be eliminated, but the gorgeous beach, its location and delicious food largely compensate, and in some cases completely cover all the shortcomings of the hotel. The first is its wonderful location, close to all the main attractions of Varavdero, and you can walk to the center on foot. The beach is excellent, warm ocean clean water, with fish, pelicans walking nearby, plenty of free sunbeds, and excellent weather. The only thing that upset us a little was the slowness and not a very big desire of the staff to do something without a tip, simply because it was their job, not everyone was worried. At the reception, they waited a long time for a room, the restaurant often had queues for hot and omelettes, but otherwise, not everything is as critical as it is described in other reviews. The only thing I want to advise is to stay in the main building, which was renovated, and not in a bungalow. We had a superior room overlooking the central pool and ocean. The room was clean, cleaned normally, the bedding was changed twice, and that was quite enough for us. They forgot to report the towels once, but after the call they quickly brought everything. There is a free safe, minibar, iron and ironing board. In the bathroom, just shampoo and gel, no more, but I always take mine with me, I’m already used to my cosmetics and don’t risk using untested products. A good factor is that you can use the infrastructure of a neighboring hotel, its territory and other benefits, this greatly expands the scope of walking around the hotel, for those who do not particularly like to go beyond the territory. Although we spent more time either on the beach or in the city, it was on these two criteria that we selected the hotel. The food at the hotel is good, but the quality of the cocktails is a little lame. There is a lot of food, everything is different and quite tasty. I advise you to visit the fish and Spanish restaurants, where both the quality of the dishes themselves and the service will be noticeably better. We liked the Mexican food least of all, but also good. In the snack bar you could always have a snack with fast food, by the way, of very good quality and with fast service. There is a restaurant on the beach, you can also go to a nearby hotel, where even the queue seemed to us a little less. The best drinks are in the lobby, and the bartenders are much nicer there. So, if you don’t focus on the service, and spend more time looking for interesting things in the city, plus just an amazing beach, then the hotel is quite good. And given its chic location, it suited us very well.
