Is it worth going to this hotel?
Hello! Please share your experience of this hotel. Now we choose between Excelsior and this. Interested in the quality of food and whether it is possible to walk nearby in the evening, are there any children's attractions nearby so as not to go! What is around? Is there a place to take a walk in the evening? Is there a bar on the beach? Did you like it in general? We are traveling with a 4-year-old child, so I would not want to make a mistake in choosing, thank you in advance for your answer!

This hotel is not located on the Sands themselves, but in the Chaika zone. Food quality and animation are normal. But in my opinion, this place is not for children at all, and it’s hard for adults. Will explain. The terrain is very hilly, the slopes to the sea are few and steep. Golden Sands - the terrain is flat there, but this is a youth party resort, noise around the clock. There are quieter hotels, but on the mountain, which again is inconvenient for the baby. My opinion - choose something else. There are many different options in Bulgaria, for different priorities and wallets. Good resorts for families with children: St. Konstantin, Albena, Kranevo, Pomorie, St. Vlas and even in Sunny Beach you can pick up something.

Support Poola - Golden Sands - very noisy and crowded with tourists, even in early June. There is somewhere to take a walk, there are attractions, but a lot of people don’t suck what they need, in my opinion. Take a look at Albena - it's nicer there, and umbrellas and sun loungers are free.
аватар irina_1901
Recently I went to pay for Albena, the manager said that almost everything good is already on the "stop", and discounts have already been removed almost everywhere. Here, our tourists give! What crisis, girls? Albena should be approached with caution. Those hotels that are at the top (Kom, Panorama ...) - they are bad. Probably, now it is better to consider Pomorie and St. Vlas.

today they confirm Vita Park 3 * in Albena, and Oasis 3 *, although it is far from the sea, but there is a train, and there are a lot of entertainments, in Vita Park there is a chic pool. For the price it turns out like Magnolia
аватар irina_1901
For these hotels there are no free sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach. And the hotels themselves want the best. We travel by train and what you will not hear on the way back, all the reviews are live. So, here, these hotels are not praised. There is a shuttle to the beach by the clock, but it is crowded. There is a very acceptable hotel on the beach - Amelia, full board, however, without a pool. Everything on the beach is free.
аватар Natassha_Kiev
Poola, all tourists who stay in ANY hotel in Albena are provided with a free umbrella and 2 sun loungers on the beach, and if it's all inclusive - drinks at a designated beach bar. Shuttle every half hour - it's not so rare. My tourist last year, and the year before last - another one - walked with such joy to the beach from Vita Park, after all, it’s exercise, and also in the well-groomed park in Albena - it’s just a pleasure. Amelia - no worse and no better, only 40 improved rooms open there this year, completely renovated, but getting there is already unrealistic
аватар irina_1901
This year is not the case with us, in the top hotels there is no free on the beach. Maybe, of course, only Belarusians are given this way, but it is unlikely. My agency told me. We are going to Amelia, we have already paid for an improved room.

Girls, thank you very much for your feedback. We chose Golden Sands this year because there is a lot of greenery there. Last summer we went to Sunny Beach, asphalt and concrete! Albena was positioned for us just like a party resort. We are looking for all inclusive already for 3 adults, 2 children (4 and 7 years old). So far we have settled on the Excelsior in Golden Sands. I'll try to pick up something else ... there is still a little time, we are going to be there on the 13th.
аватар Svetoforchik
We are going to be there on June 13th.

Albena - party resort? Take a look for yourself albena.bg There is also about umbrellas for Poola
аватар irina_1901
Smartinova, You were presented with everything incorrectly. Golden Sands is a party resort, and Albena is calm. But since it is already sold out there, look at the very green and calm resort of St. Konstantin and Elena. There is the Gloria Hotel, as far from the sea as Excelsior, there is "ultra all inclusive". More och. good hotel Romance, the best to date, to a good beach the same amount, up to not och. good - 150 m. It costs without food - 3 + 2 = 1350 we have no road. You can eat there for a fee, but you wanted "all inclusive". And also see the Sunny Day resort, next to Konstantin, but see the Marina hotel, 2 others are noisy due to the large number of children. These hotels are priced the same. like Excelsior. There are cheaper ones, and there are more expensive ones. Natasha, perhaps in my agency they made a mistake with umbrellas, I will not argue. I was not particularly interested in the top hotels, so, between the words they said. And I advise the author of the question to take an interest in the hotels of Nona and Kaliope in Albena, maybe there are some windows.

The tour operator told us that Albena is a rental resort. We took our word for it.))) And what should I see on albena.bg?
аватар Svetoforchik
Can you tell me something about Atlas in Golden Sands?
аватар irina_1901
I didn't actually see anything on the site either. Just type Bulgaria Albena. There is a large fenced area, a large nature reserve, wide beaches, free sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach and by the pool and a very good buffet in first line hotels. We were in Orlov (now Sandy Beach), Laguna Garden, Flamingo, Boryana. I know that a good hotel is Arabela Beach and Kaliakra (the latter is very expensive by Bulgarian standards). On St. Konstantin - extraordinary nature. mineral springs, but there are problems with the beaches, good 2: the Rubin hotel and the Azalea hotel. And Sunny day - very nice beach. Food is simpler than in Albena. We've been there a lot. We were on Golden Sands 1 time, the Admiral Hotel, and that was the end of this resort. Very noisy, intrusive advertising distributors, and everything is buzzing around the clock. Therefore, I had not even heard of the Atlas Hotel. Good hotel there Dolce vita. My son went with friends for a week, and then he joined us on Konstantin and said that it was finally easy to breathe!

This is the official site of the Albena resort. In the section For Albena - at the bottom left of the menu, select Catalog, a catalog will open in PDF format, with a map of the location of hotels and a full description of each hotel and photos. In the same place, on each page of each hotel there is information that 1 umbrella and 2 sun loungers per room are free on the beach of Albena. Each hotel has its own beach, usually near some bar on the beach, so that you can use the all-inclusive system. On the same site you can see the possible accommodation options that are available on certain dates. Also, you can book and pay there. If this site indicates that there are places, then the tour operator can book there.

To the author - Excelsior is a normal hotel, and in June the beach will not be so crowded. But, in my opinion, than walking from Excelsior to the sea, it’s better to live even in Vita Park villas, by the way, there is even a mini-kitchen, use all-inclusive in the Vita Park restaurant, and go to the beach. In Albena, the animation is better, and the beach and nature are completely different than in Zolotye. Some time ago, Zolotye really was a very green resort, just immersed in greenery, with unusual golden sand. But now, due to exorbitant construction, it has become just a huge anthill. In Albena, the territory is closed, new hotels are not being built, only the old ones are being gradually reconstructed. Near Albena there is a nature reserve - Baltata. There is also a bus station from which you can go to Sofia, and even go to Balchik. It regularly hosts sports matches competitions, there is a horse base.

Natassha Kiev, thank you for such detailed answers! In Albena, our company (we have already gathered 3 adults and 2 children), they found only Boryana, how does Boryana present herself? But there is half board. Why do I not like hotels in Albena sooo small rooms, 12 sq.m. And is Varna far from Albena? I have a baby waiting for a dolphinarium, I promised him, and waiting for a water park, the one in Zolotykh.
аватар irina_1901
Yes, I understand, you have to press"For Albena". Great, there is even an interactive map. But I know the resort, but others are interested, of course. Author, listen to experienced people. Both Natasha and I know the subject of Bulgaria very well. But only I would never go to hotels remote from the sea. But Natasha doesn't mind. A matter of taste. And you choose.
аватар Svetoforchik
Poola, yes, I already understood this and most likely we will choose the remaining Boryana! What can you say about her?
аватар Svetoforchik
Natassha Kiev, I forgot to tell you, in Excelsior, a free transfer from the hotel is also organized. In general, our choice has now narrowed down to three hotels, this is Atlas (we are waiting for the manager to answer from availability), Excelsior-Golden Sands and Boyarna in Albena. Boryana is all we could find. In the rest there is practically nothing. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
аватар irina_1901
We were in Boryan. The hotel is very good, but the rooms are bigger in Nona, close by. 3 adults + 2 children need 2 rooms or apartments. If there are many of you, it is more convenient to take a taxi to Varna. Or an excursion to the dolphinarium. Drive 30 min. Albena has everything, but at resort prices. For shopping, it is better to go to Dobrich, Mall store. Minibus 35-40 min.
аватар Svetoforchik
Poola, Nona is already full. There was only one double room left! Please tell me if there is animation in Boryan and is it possible to buy all inclusive instead of half board, there on the spot? Far from Boryana, some kind of walking street?
аватар irina_1901
I forgot to write that the children of the Boryana-Nona_Yelitsa complex are engaged by the pool. Animation is for that age. Young guys were taken away from Boryana, and after an hour and a half they were brought in, they danced the final dance to incendiary music and were sorted out by their parents. Worst food. We had all inclusive, which is not the case this year, but you will dine there in the same restaurant. Ask for rooms from the 2nd floor and above, the 1st is very low, the sea view is better.
аватар Svetoforchik
))))) Thank you for all the advice. And what about walks, can I go out in the evening and walk somewhere nearby?
аватар Natassha_Kiev
Albena has all this, except for the Dolphinarium, which you can visit (it is on the eve of Varna). There are attractions and playgrounds, where to walk - the area is very large, green, there are cafes and shops. Boryana is a good 3 * hotel, and the fact that it is right on the beach is a huge plus. Yes, the rooms are small throughout Albena, except for Flamingo, but the prices there are unrealistic. Look, maybe for the money it is more convenient for you to take a large apartment, there is a mini-kitchen. On the territory of Albena there are many restaurants and shops, you will not stay hungry. Last year we were on half board in Kini Park on Zolotye, for lunch there was enough soup and portions of fish, some salad, dinners and breakfasts were very satisfying. And in Albena, the food is very good. And the water park - the kid is 4 years old, he will swim in a small paddling pool and small slides there, well, a "quiet river" - all this is in Albena! For the sake of interest, you can go for half a day, it’s hard for a whole day with a baby, and everything is paid there - both a safe and an umbrella, and meals that are fast food.
аватар irina_1901
Boryana is away from the center, the street from the hotel leads to the center, but there are streets everywhere, the resort is civilized, there are many places for walking. Also near the bus station at the end of the resort (just look at Vita Park in the future), there is a supermarket where we buy various creams, rose oil soaps, lokumki and everything you need at good prices, not resort ones. We love walking into this store. As for Nona, you can take number 1 there, he's right next to it. you will sunbathe on one beach. And it happens that you can all be settled in Nona, if there is an opportunity, just pay extra.
аватар Svetoforchik
Girls!!!!Most likely, the last))))))) what I want to ask, what about the noise!? I read that it is always very noisy on the first line, it is impossible to sleep, is it so?
аватар Svetoforchik
Yes! Also, I'm wondering if half board includes a buffet? Or is it some specific dishes? I really want to have a delicious variety of food! Small in food capricious! Girls, thank you a hundred times for your responsiveness!
аватар irina_1901
Albena is not noisy. And at 23 o'clock everything is completely silent. There, by the sea, there is no promenade, the shopping street is higher. If you take a sea view, it doesn't matter what floor it is. If the view is of the park, then there is a road, but it is still quiet, since the entrance to the closed territory of Albena is only with passes, there is no road. Yes, take it, do not think if it comes out for the money! Everything will be fine. And closer to departure I will tell you some subtleties so as not to get sick.
аватар Natassha_Kiev
yes, buffet for breakfast from 7-30 to 12-00 (long breakfast) and for dinner from 18-30 to 20-00, the choice is good. If anything, my friend works in Albena in one of the restaurants as a chef, if you suddenly want to go for lunch, I’ll advise) He taught me many Bulgarian dishes to cook, and his daughter spends every year with him all summer in Bulgaria. And when he arrives in Kyiv, his mother says, why don't we have a buffet for dinner? :) I'm already used to pickles :) And Boryana is a female name, that's my youngest name, so your thanks are doubly nice)
