Bad weather happens everywhere, and in Sozopol too. The sea is around him. Once, about 6 years ago, in June, we just left, and there a hurricane began with a storm, flooded the entire coastal strip, learned about it at home from the news. The best period for rest in Sozopol is August. In September, it can also be stormy. July is calm but very hot. We love Sozopol.

we are planning in August) I just saw the photos, the beach has become several times already)))) thank you for your answer)))

One piece of advice. There are a lot of people in August. There are several beaches there. I prefer a small one, closer to the Old Town, but in August it is very crowded. Now in August I would choose a hotel closer to Ropotamo street, to a large beach, or between beaches. to sort things out on the spot.

The storm that did business in Sozopol was in winter! Forget about it! They put everything in order there immediately after the onset of heat!

I wrote about the storm in the summer, I specifically looked at the photo album, early July 2006. I had not heard about the winter.

Hello, just returned from Sozopol. In the first days of rest (a week ago the sea) the sea was a little stormy, and in the last it caused so much algae! On both beaches, which are 10-15 meters from the shore, the sea resembles green jelly.

were from July 10 to July 20, the storm was strong once. There were algae on Harmanite beach, but not much. About cafes - nonsense, everything is in place, working at full strength.

natalka zem. I don't remember the names of the beaches. Tell me, please, Harmanite - is it a big beach, where there are a lot of cafes or a small one between the New and Old Town?
аватар natalka_zem
Yes, Harmanite is a big beach. Central is the small one between Old and New. There were often algae on the Central, we swam on Harmanite, walked away almost to the end, where the free zone was. I heard about Harvatsite beach like, I had to ride a train, but I didn’t want to experiment with the child.

There is a small beach on the left in the old town on the rocks... It is always clean and there is no seaweed... and there are no people, only locals and who happened to find out! You can pick up mussels there!
