Not far from Burgas to Sozopol
Santa Marina. Ooooohromnaya territory... with a beautiful landscape . . everything is green . . blooming . . roses-roses)))) pools . . playgrounds . . restaurants... the territory is closed. even to the beach pass through the stairs and lift. There is a beach, but to the left of the Golden Fish beach we liked more. though there are a lot of Bulgarians on weekends. Another beach was opened that year. towards Sozopol.
All apartments have kitchens. Always hot water, many apartments have washing machines and other household appliances.
On the territory of shops with normal prices, fruits and vegetables are fresh. from the market . . everything is delicious....mmmm
You can buy food in Sozopol. From Santa Marina you can take a train... in five minutes you will be taken... and you can return back on horseback))))
Mini disco for the kids in the evening.
Mosquitoes are chased away. specially treated area.
The huge territory of the hotel, there are playgrounds, a kindergarten, children's pools. Shops on site. Everything you need can be bought without leaving the hotel. Prices are the same as in Kiev stores. In Crimea, everything is much more expensive. They lost a baby blouse there, called the administration, they already have it. The service is excellent. In general, I liked the rest. We recommend to all friends.
Great location, good hotel and infrastructure.
There are several swimming pools on the territory of the hotel (there is enough space for everyone), restaurants where you can eat well. There is a supermarket with all the necessary goods and products.
The receptionists are polite and always ready to help.
The large fenced area resembles a small town. (Santa Marina consists of 30-40 houses of 3-4 floors). The location of the village / hotel is vertical - on a slope, but there is a car that transports vacationers.
The rooms are very spacious + huge balcony and sea view. The room has everything you need, almost like an apartment (an ironing board with an iron, a washing basin, a clothes dryer, a conder, a microwave, a toaster, a stove, various utensils - plates, glasses and pots, wired internet, armchairs, a table on the balcony with chairs ). . . there is plenty of everything!!!
We took a ticket with breakfast (conveniently) normal breakfasts (by Bulgarian standards) - we recommend.
We chose this place because it is very quiet and comfortable, in my opinion it is perfect for families with small children or for people who are tired of the bustle of the city.
A tourist "train" regularly goes to the city of Sozopol - 2 euros. taxi - 10 euros.
Prices in the restaurants of the city are very low, you can dine for 20-35 euros for two.
There are several excellent sandy beaches in Sozopol.
Near the hotel there is a private beach (sloping beach - convenient for children). Sandy beach and sun loungers in the shade under the trees.
BULGARIA IS A GREAT COUNTRY! GOOD PEOPLE! ALL LIKED IT! WE RECOMMEND BULGARIA AND HOTEL SANTA MARINA.
Sloppiness and gouging is terrible and everywhere a bad attitude towards Russians (this was not the case before). The Bulgarians are already mentally in the European Union, and they say: We will not work, Germany will support us.
The child went to buy lemonade himself - he was deceived with money. They wanted to buy fish, asked to clean it - IMPOSSIBLE, then asked to cut off a part from a 3-kilogram fillet - IMPOSSIBLE. The Bulgarians came, they immediately cleaned it and it's POSSIBLE. In restaurants, we waited for 30-40 minutes, when the waiter notices us and deigns to come up, I don’t write about waiting for the order, it’s a long time, but it’s better not to go to Bulgarian restaurants, it’s very tasteless, they give raw meat, expensive and wait a long time. The rooms are cleaned very badly, they forgot to change the linen for 12 days. All this disgrace ended with a flight home on the same Bulgarian airlines, with zhlobsky stewardesses and a self-taught pilot, the whole plane was seasick.
I suppose that someone will not believe that everything is so bad - everything is much worse, I do not write about everything. If you want to check, go ahead to Bulgaria, or rather, back to the Scoop.
The beach at the hotel is small (there is another one, a little further away, with the usual set of marine activities). Between the hotel and the beach - the highway, which can be crossed over the elevated passage. Sunbeds cost a lot - about 3 euros, and therefore almost 3/4 are empty. Bottom - sand, on the beach, which is near the hotel, there are sharp stones. After the slightest storm brings a bunch of algae. They are removed, but without fanaticism - within 2-3 days. So, in addition to free fitness, get ready for free thalassotherapy : )
There is little entertainment in the hotel - three swimming pools and a spa. I did not find the promised bikes. What prevents them from building several water slides (despite the fact that the number of children is amazing), I do not understand.
There is animation, but rather modest - aqua aerobics and some children's competitions. Children's room is paid. On the outskirts of the complex there is a Kokolandia playground, where children can overcome a very exciting obstacle course.
The food is very so-so. And IMHO this property of Bulgaria in general. Expensive and tasteless. Maybe I'm just unlucky though. The hotel breakfast is probably worth the money, but it would be better if it was more expensive and better. There are almost no fruits (only apples and oranges), there are no dried fruits at all, there are no bell peppers among vegetables (sic! ). Little things are also annoying: the oil does not cool, there is no lemonade, the juice is diluted every fourth day, there is no ketchup as a class. The only thing that pleased me was my favorite Twinings tea. The waiters are friendly and clear the dishes quickly.
Unfortunately, Bulgaria is much closer to the Soviet Union than the same Lithuania. Some roads are worth something (even on the only freeway in the country there is no lighting).
In general, everything in the hotel is imbued with the spirit of slovenliness and insanity. The phone number on the hotel website is incorrect. It’s not worth renting a car through a hotel - for the second time they threw me, although I ordered a car three days in advance and reminded me the day before. Ended up being late for the meeting : (
Internet is wired (were stingy to spend an extra 60 bucks on a router at home), the wire is short, the socket is in an extremely inconvenient place, so drag a long twisted pair cable, or even better, a router with wifi : )
There is a laundry, but firstly they need to be convinced to take linen by weight, and not by a list (such a service is usually provided only to apartment owners), and then run to pay for half a kilometer. No to put cars where you can throw coins ...
The rooms (or rather, apartments) are large, the kitchens are well equipped, there are utensils. We had tiles in our apartment, not carpet, so it was uncomfortable without slippers.
Live / rest in Santa Marina, mostly Russian families, for the most part quite adequate.
Tours. You can go to Sozopol by train (5 minutes, 2 levs, breathing gasoline along the highway) or by taxi (7 levs). I highly recommend a trip to Veliko Tarnovo. We took a car and drove ourselves, but 250 kilometers one way through the mountains is hard. Another impressive excursion to Ropotamo is a walk along the river (herons and turtles) and in jeeps around the hunting grounds (wild boars, roe deer). No one guarantees animals, but we were lucky - we saw herons, turtles, and wild boars. We also went to Nessebar - nice. And the water park is not bad - there are several original slides.
In general, I do not consider the vacation a failure, but I probably will not repeat the experience.
I really liked the restaurant "St. Paul". The staff is friendly, hospitable and knows their regular customers by sight! This is och. Nice! Recomend for everybody!
2. Food - salads, porridge, sausages - they cooked it themselves, there is a supermarket nearby, there is a pizzeria on site - they took pizza and ice cream (very tasty), dined at the main restaurant - we didn’t really like it, maybe the dishes were chosen unsuccessfully. Basically, we dined in the city, in small cafes, often ordered fish, different ones - katrans, gobies, barracuda - fish is cooked well everywhere. I liked the fried shrimp.
There is a fish restaurant in the city where you can choose fresh fish or seafood - and it will be cooked for you right away.
3. The hotel area is very large, many cottages, several swimming pools, a pizzeria, a restaurant, a supermarket, souvenir shops, a hairdresser, a volleyball court - we played every day, a cricket ground, in my opinion, I don’t remember exactly. Forest, very fresh air, no mosquitoes, they process something once a month.
4. Every day we went to the city, since the hotel is outside the city, by train - 2 leva, the train stop at the entrance to the hotel, the road took up to 10 minutes.
5. Fruits were bought mainly in the city - at the local market - they are both cheaper and tastier, money was changed only in banks in the city, in other places - an unfavorable exchange rate. Souvenirs were also bought in the city, there is more choice. I would like to mention the local dairy products, they are of excellent quality here, the Bulgarian sourdough is known all over the world. I didn’t really like yogurts, I fell in love with local melon and watermelon ones, I drank several pieces a day, very tasty and natural!
6. The sea is across the road, you can go down the stairs or take the elevator. Sand, the beach is not very big, the water is clean, in the morning we saw how they clean it from algae, if I hadn’t seen it, I would never have thought that there were algae here at all. Pretty small, kids love it.
