A few questions
Friends, welcome. I am going to Sozopol in August with my wife and 2 children (a year and five). Because we take only breakfasts, the question arose - how much is approximately the amount of food per day required?
And another question - tell me how the situation is now in Sozopol - the news from Turkey and Egypt is a little disturbing.
Thanks.

I was in Sozopol until July 11, the situation is excellent) With food - complete order, especially in the area of u200bu200bthe "newer" city. Your hotel is located near the city's central beach. There food will be a little more expensive. If you want to save some money, I advise you to walk along the street. Odessa towards Harmonite beach. There are continuous cafes along the beach. From 12:00 to 17:00 in all cafes there is a lunch menu (complexes) from 6.50 to 7.50 leva per person (three courses - first, second and dessert) Moreover, in each cafe there are from 4 to 7 options to choose from . Also pay attention to "promotions" They are usually valid after 19:00. For example, in the cafe "Shatrit" it was possible to order "sach + 1 free" for 15 leva. It's very tasty))) I recommend. In general, the prices for food are very pleased. Melons - 1.3-2 leva, tomatoes 1.8-2.5 leva, plums - from 3, etc. August will be cheaper.

We travel with the same company: me, my husband, two children (when we started traveling to Bulgaria, they were just 1 and 5 years old). From year to year, the same amount goes to food - about 1,000 rubles. per day (along with ice cream and fruit for a snack). About lunch menu here efficiently written. I don’t know how voracious your kids are, ours are not very, so we took two complexes for four and ate our fill. True, they say that this year the lion has risen in price a lot ...

Friends, thanks for the answers. And can anyone tell me about baby products: first of all, they are interested in hygiene items - diapers, foams / shampoos, etc. And baby food - cans / purees, cereals .... is there where to buy?

I saw baby food in food supermarkets. Closest to your hotel is located next to the market opposite children's attractions (landmark - Raiffeisen Bank), everything else is in pharmacies. I won’t tell you the assortment, because. I had no need.

On st. Odessa, on that part of it, which is between the street. Republican and st. Ropotamo, there is a specialized store for children's food products. You will surely walk there, you will find it. Good luck!

Just returned from Sozopol, from Koral. The three of us traveled with my daughter, we spent a little less than $ 300 on food, souvenirs, ice cream in 8 days, without infringing on anything at all. I don’t share the enthusiasm for the cafe in the new part of the city along the beach - I wouldn’t go there for dinner with children (and without them), there are VERY many people and very loud (and in my opinion tasteless) music, as a result, the atmosphere , comfort is completely absent.
If you live in Koral, I would advise you to have lunch at the Starfish cafe, it is located on the first floor of the mini-hotel, 2 minutes walk from your hotel. Very intimate, tasty, prices and portion sizes are pleasing, there is a children's menu. There are also plenty of other quiet places in the new part of the city not near the beach.
And to have dinner and walk in the evening, you definitely need to go to the old city (otherwise, why go to Sozopol at all), I would say the prices are the same, I have seen both cheaper and more expensive than the old city. But there is such an atmosphere (rocks, sea, ancient city, good quiet music) that you can overpay a couple of leva for this.

Pampers, baby food, pharmacies - everything is within reach, but if possible, I would take food familiar to the baby, because. they don’t eat (respectively, they don’t produce) much of what we eat and vice versa (for example, they have orange puree from 3 months). But of course you can buy something acceptable there.
The cheapest thing is probably in the large supermarket "Bolero" (Republicanskaya St.), but in the heat you go there because of a left or two ... Water, fruits, milk, pastries, pancakes in the stalls opposite Koral do not differ much in price, you can go far and not to go, unless if you want to take a walk.

Food is cheap to buy in supermarkets, such as Lidl, for example, look at the map if there is Lidl nearby and if there is, you will eat very cheaply, and the products there are of excellent quality
