how much is food in Sunny Beach outside the hotel?
They wanted to take a ticket without meals in order to try Bulgarian cuisine in a variety, so I read from reviews that food in Bulgaria is cheap; and here they tell me on the forum that food is very expensive on the Sunny Beach, that it is better to take half board, because fruits, meat, wine ..... - everything is expensive. Advise all the same: how much does lunch cost in euros or dollars (salad + meat, for example), their dishes are nationally interesting, fruits ... is it even possible not to be hungry for 10 days, having about 300 euros for two on hand?

the food is inexpensive, by our standards. one serving of meat or salt is enough for two. the portions are simply huge

This question has been repeatedly discussed here and usually all discussions end something like this: "there is no comrade for taste and color." What I remember at the prices of the 13th year: salads from 2 euros per serving and up to 4.5, meat from 3 euros (chicken) and up to 10 (mutton), sach - from 10 and more, but it alone is definitely not eat. Wine in a restaurant from 5 euros a bottle, but on average more expensive, in a store, of course, cheaper. The term "big" is relative. Compared to portions in our cafes - yes, they are huge, but compared to home - who eats how much. . . One for two is not enough for my men. Again, who and what is used to eating. . . A salad and a glass of beer are enough for me for lunch, well, I can eat soup - it's about 5 euros, but my husband always takes meat (and usually not chicken, he will eat it at home, just something national), and this is another plus 7 euros and a snack (sarmi, kashka val pane, etc.). The son is the same, and even dessert, and now consider: somewhere around 35-40 euros came out. . . In general, the food cost me more than I expected and now - only All, but this is my subjective opinion. If you eat little and do not like "snacks" in the form of beer, ice cream, etc.. , then, perhaps, it will be profitable for you, but 300 euros is not enough. . .

I agree with the previous author, depending on who is used to eating how much and what. Enough for a family of 3. But we took apartments and I cooked myself. We also went to the cafe, but not every day. We do not eat meat at all, but mostly dairy, vegetable, fish. They did not starve, they drank wine, and did not deny themselves anything. There were also 10 days. We traveled by bus, then I took some of the products from home. My husband is a fan of buckwheat, then I took with me my cucumbers and tomatoes for the first time. We usually go at the beginning of August, fruits and vegetables are not expensive at this time.
аватар ollennka
If you mean 300 euros for two for ONLY 10 days, then 30 euros per day, of course, is not enough for food. Even at home is not enough, let alone abroad.
аватар agent_borabora
Usually a portion in a cafe (meat, side dish and salad) in season costs from 12 euros. Drinks for an additional fee.
It was more profitable for us to pay for a buffet at the hotel than to eat in a cafe.

I agree with agent_borabora. It is more expensive to eat in a cafe, but still the prices are exaggerated. The most expensive signature dish costs 25 leva -12 euros, but it's big, you can't eat it alone. And you won't take every day. Half board is suitable for girls who eat little, even if they really want to. And that's not enough for men. My adult son after the sea, after swimming, eats as much as I can not eat in 2 times. Especially when we take hotels with breakfast only, as if on purpose! For example, I’ll say that one year we first went to Kranevo, specially to gourmand in restaurants, they cook very tasty and inexpensively there. This is a simple resort. And then to the expensive resort of Albena on "all inclusive". Both there and there were 12 days. When we compared the costs, it turned out that in Kranevo they even spent a little more. But the resort of Albena is much more interesting. At the same time, it should be noted that food on Sunny Beach is more expensive than in Kranevo.

Do not take breakfast (cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, sausage is not tasty, rubber rolls ...) and every day is the same. Be sure to order lunches (it makes no sense to wander around in the heat to look for something, and in the evening to cafes with music, dancing and wine)))) Fruits are expensive, especially homemade (in August 2014, for example, grapes and peaches, something about 130 UAH per kg It was).
аватар irina_1901
ribylya. Not all hotels have such breakfasts, but only cheap ones. Last summer we had 10 types of meat and cheese cuts for breakfast, several types of smoked sausages, about 4 types of eggs, casseroles, sausages, salads, potatoes, tomato juice, olives, of course, sour meat, muesli, nuts , honey, cheese even Roquefort with mold. Baking, pancakes. And of course cucumbers and tomatoes. Don't remember everything...

Poola agrees with you completely.

I give you a link to my blog, where in April of this year I posted photos of the menus of several restaurants and cafes in Sveti Vlas, a town that starts right behind Sunny Beach, one goes into another,
https://kozyrog.wordpress.com/. In the same place, a month earlier, I described my experience of economical nutrition in Bulgaria.
There you will see prices for a variety of dishes. In Sunny Beach, prices practically do not differ from those in Sveti Vlas. Closer to the sea is more expensive.
In my blog http://kozyrog.blog.ru on the same topic, the photos do not need to be disclosed, but there are fewer of them.

The Colorados have already arrived in Bulgaria.
аватар olga17477
Kozyrog, I read your blog with pleasure, and offered my men to choose dishes from the menu you photographed ... In general, we are on All ... They didn’t choose hoo! But this is a good idea for the author of the question, let them see for themselves and figure out what they want to try and how much it will cost them!
аватар Zhanna1503
Last year we rested in the hotel, food all inclusive. I don’t regret it, if you go to the CFS for lunch for two, it comes out to about 40 leva (20 euros approximately)
аватар irinavladnik
Igor, what is the phrase "The Colorados have already landed in Bulgaria"? Did you not understand what or who?
аватар Alisa-Asol
I didn't understand what he was talking about either. I already read on the Internet who the Colorados are (an insult to the citizens of the Russian Federation, because they love their country, they wear St. George ribbons, like this). What does all this have to do with it? stupid. let's ignore it. I spend a lot of time among Russians, Ukrainians, Englishmen, Germans, etc., and never even indirectly, no one quarreled with anyone, on the contrary, everything was great ...

I think he read my blog. And there I write about the Russian club Sveti Vlas. Its members are Russians, Ukrainians, Kazakhs, who united on the basis of the Russian language. This is written in the Club's Bylaws. There is a German, several Bulgarians. We communicate in Russian, as well as on this site. And our choir (there is one in the club) sings Russian, Ukrainian, and Bulgarian songs. We have nothing to share here. Lots of common questions and concerns. And even more so for me: my father is a native of Nizhyn. He started working as a railway worker in Darnitsa. And then in the Union in different places he worked in the Ministry of Railways. Railway we have given more than 200 years. I want to go to Sofia by rail, although there is a car. There are two trains from Burgas. Then I will share my experience.
аватар irinavladnik
Dear Kozyrog, you know how much respect Poola and I treat you. I read all your blogs. The man, having worked honestly in his homeland, retired to Bulgaria. Fine! I just did not expect from Igor!

Yes, on the merits, I agree with Ollennka. What are the cons? What are three hundred euros for 10 days for two?
The remark about Buckwheat and my tomatoes and cucumbers from home generally put me in a slight stupor. Why are we going on vacation? To cook again? And vegetables in Bulgaria cost a penny
аватар Igor_m
Now it's +30 in Kyiv, and even more in Bulgaria in the summer. How much and what you can load into yourself in the heat. Sea, sun, air, excursions - these are the main meals on vacation. You will return slender, rejuvenated and with money.
аватар irinavladnik
I agree, Igor 100%. Even after spending 5 hours at sea, we both swim well, in the afternoon we take Shopska, or just tomatoes and Snezhanka salad. It is very useful, very similar to the Greek Tzatziki. I love mixing tomatoes and this magical live yogurt salad. Cheese plate, flatbread. But! White wine, which costs 35 leva. Cold, in a bucket!! Dream!
Attempts to actively steam hot dishes were unsuccessful. In the heat, it's unreal! They took, but left. And in the evening you can have grilled shrimp and lamb. But again, we "burn" on wine. We don't drink hard drinks at all. Therefore, dinner is 100-120 lev

Like Zhvanetsky - "from the bottom up, from the bottom up ..." - and he didn’t go to the beach anymore. It’s vegetables, fruits, dairy products, fish - that’s a set for everyone. every day driving, incl. and on vacation. I went several times to the villages of the Burgas region - grapes, peaches, watermelons - everything from a bush, but I didn’t go for this, but to see how people live and how they live. They work hard and hard, some yearn for the past, most of it is the past They curse. An income of 300-400 euros is considered small, but for more you need to produce more, and during the times of "social realism" they forgot how, many go to the West to earn extra money, but they return and invest money in business, and not in cars, houses, etc. .d. The same is true in Turkey, in Romania, they pull the strap, asking for nothing and not complaining. We all see the results of their work on vacation. So let's start working, creating, and then we won't count a penny - 300 euros will be enough or not enough for 10 days. I wish everyone to be rich, but healthy!
аватар irina_1901
I will take Albena as an example again, as a resort with the best buffet. There lunch in any hotel, kroie elite, costs 6 euros, and dinner 7 euros. For two adults who have taken the hotel for breakfast, an additional 26 euros X 10 days = 260 euros will go. It's on a good buffet. In restaurants, this will not work, it is much more expensive. So figure out for yourself what is more convenient for you to take.

Many thanks to everyone - they helped a lot - we will go and check all the tips in practice ....
аватар Alisa-Asol
and another 300 euros with us - this is 2 salaries of a person with an average income - 7,000 hryvnias. we live for 2 months on that kind of money ... well, this is from history ... so .. by the way ...
аватар irinavladnik
Have you chosen Albena7 All Inclusive?
аватар ollennka
Hospadi, in an innocent question about catering prices, they splashed some negativity. By "at home" I meant, first of all, at home in Siberia. If with fruit, meat, wine, as indicated in the question, then you still need to look for it in my city for 15 euros lunch + dinner.
Yes, and in Kyiv, at least zaminusuysya, in December 2014, the cafes did not impress me with special cheapness.
аватар Igor_m
alla_bilash, if you took all, then all worries about food have disappeared (at least not to jinx it), otherwise you will have a choice, both in terms of prices and the menu. And the choice in any resort town is great. And even after spending 300 euros in ten days, you won’t bring back the feeling of hunger. Tune in to the positive, give yourself entirely to rest, and Bulgaria will help you. When you return, write how wrong I was.
Ollenka, you are right, in Kyiv for three meals a day in a cafe or restaurant for two, about 1000 UAH will fly away - about 40 euros, this is the minimum.
аватар Alisa-Asol
yes, everything is expensive here too, I agree, there is no negative, why. we are working. We sometimes go to cafes on weekends. it’s good everywhere ... where we are not there ... but we only took breakfast .. so we will try Bulgarian cuisine slowly, with full meals, it seems to me that it will not be interesting ... because we eat not only at the sea to lie down and eat on schedule , and for new pleasant impressions .... thanks to you all.

This is our way, i.e. to my mind !

My child and I always go not to a hotel, but rent an apartment, buy the products ourselves and cook ourselves. And it turns out quite inexpensively, in comparison with other options.
