From Sunny Beach to Romania you should not go at all, from there it is better to go to Turkey Romania on the other side of the coast and not far away. A one-day excursion from the north coast costs 60 euros. My opinion is that this is enough. Why shake the bus for an extra 4 hours and pay for it? Maybe someone has a different opinion, but I would not go.

It’s not a pity to spend a week in Romania, but not from Bulgaria during your vacation, but on purpose, purposefully and better on your own, by booking a hotel somewhere in Brasov or Ryshnov and renting a car - there is something to see there.

By the way, in Romania you can relax very well - thermal resorts in Transylvania or the sea in Mangalia. But, in Bulgaria, the sea is better!

I agree with Igor, in Bulgaria the sea is better. I was in Romania 2 times - the Venus resort and the Jupiter resort. The sea is dirtier. Yes, and the Romanians themselves go to rest in Bulgaria. The second time we went just to see the sights. If you go from Bulgaria, you will be taken mainly to Dracula's castle. If I went to Romania now, I would take the resort of Eforie Nord, next to the mud lake.

And we visited Istanbul last summer, VERY liked it! But now we are thinking about Romania .. But somehow I still doubt it ..

What is the purpose of your trip to Romania? See the country or shopping. There is no shopping there, but there is something to see. Maybe you should stay in Romania for 5 days first, and then take a bus to Bulgaria?

Have you traveled in Bulgaria? A month is not enough to see half and then at a gallop.

No, shopping is not included in our plans. We booked a tour to Sat for 2 weeks, so I’m thinking how to entertain the family besides a beach holiday, and I want to see new places ..

If you have been to Sozopol and Nessebar, then go to Pomorie yourself. There is an excursion - Sliven-Zheravna. This is a village that has not changed since the 14th century, then a cable car ride for those who want, for 10 leva. And who does not want, then free of charge on the bus. There is nowhere to go especially from the south coast, there are more interesting places from the north. If you have not been on an excursion in the Bulgarian village, then go, it's inexpensive. You can take a train on a yacht with a picnic and games. Look at the circumstances. What hotel did you book?

We will rest in Sat for the third time, so we have already managed to visit some places .. This time we are planning to go to Shipka .. Thanks for the tip!
And the hotel this time we have Nesseber Beach 3 *. Looking forward to August..

Have a nice rest. We will also be on Sat in August, only we have a Selena-2 hotel, we were already there in 2013. We were not on Shipka. Somehow we drive more from the north coast. There are some very interesting places there. If you are going to Albena, St. Konstantin or ZP, I will tell you a lot.

Thank you!
And I also considered Selena, but tour operators don’t offer her here, but it’s expensive for us to fly ...

Romania is very popular among Bulgarians in terms of excursions. Usually 2 times a month they go with excursions for the weekend. I would advise you to get to Rousse and from here you are within easy reach of Bucharest, a very beautiful city! Sinai, Brasov, Transylvania - I think if you rent a car - you can travel well. Me and my friends are going in May

To everyone who responded, thank you very much!

The distance to Bucharest from SB and from Albena differs by several kilometers, of course, from SB it is possible to travel through Varna in order to collect from the entire coast, then yes, check it out. It makes no sense to go anywhere for 1 day, almost all the time you will end up on the road through the rather monotonous landscapes of collective farm fields. Transylvania is a crazy beautiful place with mountains, castles, monasteries
