There is an option for 1 day, about 100 euros, and for 2 days. If you are going to go, then you need to open a double visa. TA knows what it is. And to be honest, it's very tiring. They leave and return at night. All in all, who cares...

we went .. and more than once on this site this topic was discussed in great detail .. look on the forum ..
really, tiring, but for the sake of these beauties and a new coat, you can endure a day :))

I went to Istanbul from Sunny Beach for one day, left at about two in the morning, and also returned at about one in the morning. The tour costs about 60 euros (I don’t remember exactly), in general, the impressions are very positive from the tour. Istanbul is a beautiful city. We went to the Bosphorus Strait, but not with an excursion (which cost 25 euros from Teztour), but ourselves, we took a tram to the strait, boarded a boat and sailed there. In the end, it all cost us about 8 euros :))

How is the visa now? We have already opened a visa to Bulgaria, not a two-time one. Will we be able to get to Istanbul or not?
аватар irina_1901
You need a 2-entry visa, definitely.

Damn, I just called our agent from the travel agency, said what to buy there on the spot))) I'm shocked))
аватар irina_1901
Can they open it locally? I know. that last year two families wanted to go to Istanbul, but our guide told them that they could not with such a visa, now until next year we need to open a double visa. Maybe it's different now? But I think that you will lose a little if you don't go. We have a double visa for 8 years, but we never got around to it. Those who have traveled say it's hard. If only you really need to buy leather and a fur coat.

Understood, thank you) I endure the road calmly, not a problem) I just read reviews about Istanbul, I thought it would be interesting)

great in Istanbul! The Blue Mosque, the Bosphorus Canal is worth seeing at least once in a lifetime .. plus shopping .. we scored a lot, prices are cheap there: ballet flats $ 10, skirt $ 10, sheepskin coat $ 150, my son bought himself chic toys .. there are branded things, but still cheaper than ours. tired, of course, but it was a pleasant fatigue :)), so if you succeed with a visa on the spot (and I think it should work out if you wish), then I recommend it.

Thank you very much :) I asked another travel agent again, she also said that I need to take a visa on the spot. In short, while I'm confused, but I'm already downloading maps of Istanbul and punching places where to take my girlfriend)))

Advise, and if you go for 1 day from Bulgaria to Istanbul and do not take excursions, can you have time to shop? How far apart are the shopping malls?
аватар investle
I think you can. You can stock up on one market!

we almost did just that: we only went on a sightseeing tour (it’s very beautiful there), we looked at the Blue Mosque, the Bosphorus, the observation deck. around 12.00 they were already free and went shopping, and the other part of the group went for a walk on the boat. Until 18.00 we had enough time for shopping. first we went to the bazaar for souvenirs, and then went around all the shops along the tram tracks. Indeed, shopping in Istanbul was wonderful!

What time are you going on the tour? I looked to eat at 5.00 and at 21 00 in the evening?

I think they left on Thursday night!

Just got back from Sunshine. We went to Istanbul. Excursions at 21.00 and 5.00 (departure is mainly Wednesday and Saturday, but check on the spot, everyone is different). We went in the evening, so more time for the city itself. Half a day was left for shopping, we went around in the Laleli area, but really everything is only wholesale there, rarely where you managed to buy it at retail. Unfortunately, all the purchased items were stolen on the bus on the way back home. Tip: do not take Shans-Tur buses (Join Up travel agency), in the process of dismantling it turned out that our case is not the first and most likely not the last ...

nightmare! I have never heard of such cases! it’s good that you warn, it’s somehow quiet on the Internet about thefts on trips to Istanbul .. but how did it all technically happen? did you leave things unattended? I just can't wrap my head around how this is possible.

I bought a leather jacket and a fur vest in Istanbul, they gave us 2 large bags. Well, let's go shopping and put the purchased things in one of them. This one was a little smaller than the package, well, out of fear, we covered a jacket with a sleeveless jacket with this package. The package is huge, not standard, so they left it in the luggage compartment. Since they were worried about the jacket and sleeveless jacket, they tried to control this particular package. From the luggage compartment, for joy, they took exactly this package without looking that there was no other package in the middle. We immediately started calling the contact person, so she said that we need to look after our things ourselves (the contract only states that they are not responsible for hand luggage on the bus. Not a word about the luggage compartment) and in the process of talking with her, we found out that they often do this. We argued that we cannot control all the people who go out, to which they answered us - these are your problems. At this time, we contacted the director of the company, we visually remember the woman has a similar package, the director promised to call back in an hour. Through acquaintances, we learned that in order to prove something, you need a baggage ticket, which is not given anywhere in our country (

Temma Tour Bureau. Excursion - 1 day, price 104 leva (08. 14). We arrived in Istanbul around 9 am. For 25 euros for a tour of the Bosphorus (much cheaper on the embankment), the guide began to collect from those who wished even before arrival. Tour of Istanbul for about 3 hours. We visited only places where admission is free - Sultanahmet Square, the Blue Mosque, stood near Hagia Sophia, passed through 1 part of the Khan's palace and headed to the "restaurant" "Orient Express". "Dinner" is a pitiful sight. 4 dishes were served in the following sequence: the first - 2 slices of fried bread with minced meat; the second - salad (chopped carrots, cabbage); the third - rice with fried pieces of meat (origin is not determined) and canned champignons (it turns out they are also fried ); the fourth - a piece of watermelon (10x15cm) and some kind of oriental sweetness (2x7cm). The waiters wore these dishes for an hour, the tourists at that time “looked at the ceiling” and did not know to wait for something else or to leave already. Drinks are not included in the menu, you need to buy yourself. It all felt like a swindle, not like a meal. How much is "lunch" the waiters did not say, they pretended not to understand. After lunch, free time until departure (18 hours).

The trip included a sightseeing tour plus breakfast and lunch.
We left at 9.30 pm so we were brought in at 01.30 at night. We hesitated for a long time to go or not to go, but we made our choice on a day trip and did not regret it. The trip is difficult and exhausting, but you need to be prepared for it, because it takes all night to get to Istanbul. You can get there faster but the driver takes an hour to be in the hotel for 6-7 years. a.m. We were brought to the GRAND EMIN Hotel for breakfast, which included a buffet. Later they went on a tour by Turkish bus with their Russian-speaking guide. The guide is very good, a former Bulgarian, presenting interesting information. The tour is standard as with all operators, but interesting. After the tour we were brought to the same hotel for lunch (which was even better than breakfast, but you need to take your water with you because drinks are paid).
Later we went on an additional tour (for 20 euros) in Boxworth, without this tour the impressions of Istanbul will not be complete, I strongly advise you not to spare 20 euros and go.
