All the most interesting things in Sofia are located outside of it - this is Vitosha Mountain and Boyana Church. I do not recommend going to Sofia at all. The city is gray, dusty and not hospitable. The ride is tiring, 6 hours by bus. If you go, take an overnight tour. It is a pity to spend more than one day on Sofia.
