Help me choose a resort
Good afternoon. We are traveling with a 4 year old child in July 2015. We want a small hotel, not necessarily all inclusive, only BB or HB is possible. But at the same time, so that you can leave the hotel and find entertainment for the child and for the parents. Maybe an amusement park, a water park. To have restaurants nearby, shops.
Help, plz, in which direction in Bulgaria is it better to look?
Can you also advise travel agencies in Moscow in Bulgaria?
Thanks.

I do not understand why my question is not visible (((

Igor_m, well, where are you, your topic? I'm rooting for you. And Poola is right there.
аватар irina_1901
Laricom5. Unlike you, I have very specific answers on Bulgaria. And you answer in this country with meaningless phrases ... That's why I write that someone should really help .. And igor_m knows the topic, but does not always answer, apparently he does not receive mailings of questions. Why are you rooting for him? I do not understand. There is no competition here. Or is this the answer to your question?
аватар Laricom5
Poola. You don't have a good sense of humor and take on jokes.
аватар irina_1901
Laricom5. Those who ask not to humor, they need SPECIFIC advice. Still, I will try to appreciate your jokes.
аватар Igor_m
Laricom5, I'm here, thanks for the "disease", I understood your humor, but Poola should be "right there", because (I repeat with pleasure) she is the best expert and adviser on Bulgaria and I don’t even try to compete with her, I can argue a little , or clarify. I think that she is now "shoveling" options for the Author of the question, as always. And if she offers Sunny Beach, Pomorie, Ravda, St. Vlas or Obzor, then I will agree with her. It remains to choose a hotel that can afford it (this is not difficult), and the job is done. A 4-year-old child is a formed personality and the desires of a personality (swings, carousels, all kinds of slides, etc.) will have to be respected and implemented, in the above cities it is possible. Yes and parents who have recently been the same will like it there. Rest is a serious and responsible matter, you can’t joke with preparation for it, then you can. "Smile, people, smile ...", as Baron Munchausen (O. Yankovsky) used to say.

We like Pomorie. There are plenty of hotels. Last year we stayed at the St. Peter and Paul ***. Normal - very close to the sea, a good beach, not noisy, has its own restaurant (it's convenient with a child), a small playground. There is no territory, and it is not needed. We went for a walk in the center, on the trampoline, on the carousel.
This year, they did not contact companies at all, rented apartments themselves, ordered tickets, insurance from the Bravy Tourist company. We saved 30 percent. There are plenty of shops, pharmacies, everything is nearby. I advise.
аватар irina_1901
I agree that Pomorie is a good town. Cheap fruits. And in the hotel St. Peter and Paul we were. But I always look at the prices of all hotels and realized that now the hotel is more expensive than it was before. Maybe, of course, only with us. In the center, indeed, there are attractions, it takes about 15 minutes to walk to the center with a child, no less. Is it comfortable with a baby? Maybe then Pomorie is better to relax, we were there too. A free minibus runs from this hotel to the center every 2 hours. In general, I am for Albena.
аватар yanushevich
Yes, this year all hotels have become more expensive. With a child, we went to the center - a pleasure (and what else to do there). Of course there could be more entertainment for children. There are very few playgrounds for local kids. But we also went to Burgas - there is a good park. We also decided to rent an apartment with a kitchen because of the child. In a 5 ***** hotel it is very expensive, and in a 3 *** hotel - food (the same breakfasts are very poor). The child had to cook porridge sometimes, and we ourselves want it, cafe food is very annoying.
аватар irina_1901
It is also important to know that the beaches in Pomorie are good only on one side, where St. Peter and Paul, Pomorie Bay (a good apart-hotel, but expensive), Zeus, Mants. And where Interhotel Pomorie is, there are bad beaches, stones at the entry into the sea.

Good afternoon! Thank you very much for the advice, today I'll sit down to do all the wool.
And here they also advised me to Review. What do you think? They say there are not so many people, and the beach is good. Well, there is a park.
аватар yanushevich
When I was looking for a hotel or private apartments, I looked through the entire coast in Bulgaria. Right in order - all the cities. I read a bunch of reviews. Choose according to the criteria that you need the most. We are also traveling with a 5 year old. First, parents go, then we come with grandfather, they leave, leave us a child and another 2 weeks. I determined for myself what is important to me:
1. The sea is close (up to 100 meters). It's hard with a child in the heat.
2. Entry into the sea is gentle (shallow, sandy) for a child.
3. The beach is well-maintained with sun loungers.
4. The hotel is not on the mountain, so that later from the sea you don’t climb up the mountain in the heat (there are also many of them).
5. Close to shops, pharmacies (although we take a bunch of medicines with us, but sometimes something needs to happen).
6. Not noisy (the hotel is not on a busy street).
If you take an economical hotel, then the food there can be meager scrambled eggs, sausages, cereals, pasta, cheese ..... It seems that it is quite enough, but on the third day you want something cottage cheese, dairy. Bulgaria is not Turkey, they don't bother with food there. So I advise you to rent a hotel with a kitchen or a separate apartment. Sometimes you can cook something for a child. Check out the Lotos Hotel on the Riviera (near Golden Sands).
аватар yanushevich
We were in Lotus in 2012. The rooms there, though small, but the food is good, the area is huge, swimming pools, playgrounds, very quiet, 30 meters from the sea, free beach. We wanted to go next year, but the prices were biting. My advice - open any site - apartments, apartments in Bulgaria. People rent comfortable housing themselves, sign up, you will be met at any tour. operator book tickets. They also do visas and insurance. Very big savings. Travel agencies charge 20-30% for this.
If you don’t want to bother yourself, then choose a reliable tour operator so that you don’t get scammed.
аватар yanushevich
Travel agencies "Brave Tourist", "Starfish", Balkan Express.
Look at the Riviera 5 * hotel. There are animations for children and everything incl. Territory in a closed park. It's true, it's probably expensive.
аватар irina_1901
The Review is good. You have to go there until mid-August, then it starts to storm. And during this period, hotels are not cheap. Inexpensive Favorit, but it is 400 m from the sea. This is why I don't take it. Food in the city is cheap.
аватар fdutf
I sit, wool, read. Head spin. Still, I'll probably stop at the review. I looked at Luca Helios Beach 3 * +, we will completely pull the money.
I also liked Primorsko, because of the presence of a water park,
Perla Plaza. But dont know...
Sunny Beach, Golden Sands, Albena - I don't want to, because, as I understand it, there is a hotel on a hotel. I want silence, take a walk along the streets of the resort town, along the embankment. I still like Sozopol from the pictures, but I read that there are no entertainments for children there. Haven't watched Ravda and Pomorie yet.
Saint Vlas is beautiful, but as I understand it, there is a new building and only hotels?
аватар fdutf
I really like Sozopol...
аватар fdutf
And another question, if you take Sozopol for breakfast, how much money should you take with you for food for 2 adults and 1 child, provided that the husband loves to eat, always with meat, and of course with alcohol.
аватар irina_1901
There are a lot of people in Sozopol, even very many. And, here Albena is once again not built up at all, of the new hotels only Flamingo. Just to make people feel comfortable there. Primorsko and Ravda are villages, there is no entertainment, a purely beach holiday, like a summer cottage. Pomorie is good. I have just arrived from my TA, the manager told me that a good hotel in Pomorie is Sunny Bay. I don't know, it looks like it's new. But entertainment is only in the center. I would take only the old town in Pomorie, in the New Hotel on the hotel. Sozopol, like others, is divided into the Old Town and the New. In the Old City, I would not take it. The beach is far away, cafes are very expensive. In the New City is much cheaper, but not cheap. And if your husband loves to eat, then you only need a buffet. It’s a pity that you made the wrong conclusion about Albena, because with a good appetite for your husband and having a child, it’s better for you to not come up with. I was in Obzor Luka Helios Beach. I liked it, but the food is better in Albena. I can’t say exactly how much food in the New Town of Sozopol will cost you per day, soup - 3 levs, one salad for all - 5 levs, the second with meat for the husband - 10 levs, peppers - 5 levs, alcohol is expensive.

Thank you. I'm going to TA now. Let's see what else they tell me. Tomorrow I will unsubscribe)))

"Saint Vlas is beautiful, but as I understand it, there is a new building and only hotels?"
______________________________________________
In all cities of the coast, 80% are hotels, guest houses, boarding houses, apart-hotels, etc. In St. Vlas, especially around the center, there are many shops, cafes, restaurants. Artists and groups from different countries perform almost every evening on the central square - from 19:00 to 22:00, then there is silence. All hotels offer a view of Sunny Beach and Nessebar, the beaches are all sandy, an umbrella + trestle bed - 10lev, all beaches (as in all of Bulgaria) are available to everyone. Vacationers per 1 sq.m are half as many as in SB. Food prices are a little lower than in Sat, a little higher than in Obzor. For us, two adults, 60 lev a day was quite enough. I'm wrong, but the first impression did not inspire.
аватар Igor_m
And yet, there are practically no new buildings in Sveti Vlas, a little on the outskirts.

How disappointed I am in our travel agencies. Visited two yesterday and today! In two days, rummaging through the Internet, in my opinion I can say more about Bulgaria than I heard from agents. In one, they stupidly tried to shove someone's villa into me. In another, they named the first hotels in the lists on request with my budget. So then I can))) No advice, no pictures. Was upset((
I'm here on the site, I received much more information, and thank you very much to everyone who responded

I don’t know why my soul doesn’t lie with Albena (((In my mind, I understand that in terms of quality this is probably the most reasonable option. But there are only hotels around, it’s not interesting. Or I don’t understand how it all works. I myself I imagine something like Turkey, where hotels are hotels, and when you get out - a wasteland. And somehow I don’t really like walking around hotels. I don’t know that it’s not mine (((I’ll go to Google map, look at the pictures
аватар irina_1901
Any resort is one hotel. Bulgaria differs from Turkey in that it is a safe country for independent travel. And behind the hotels there are no wastelands. We always walk along the promenade, or in the center, or deep into the resort. Where else? We also travel by ourselves. In Albena from the bus station to Balchik, Dobrich, Varna. From Sunny Beach to Nessebar, Sozoporl, Pomorie, St. Vlas. Very good transport interchange with the resorts of St. Konstantin, Sunny Beach, Nessebar, Pomorie - there are bus stations. We also take excursions and travel around Bulgaria. I don't know where you want to go from the resort? You just won't get there. If you want a city, then go to Pomorie Old Town, Varna, Burgas, Nessebar. But for me, Varna and Burgas is not a vacation, I walk around Minsk like that. On vacation, you want to feel the atmosphere of a vacation, a holiday. And this is possible only in resorts .. Probably, in TA they don’t quite understand what you want. Try some hotel in Varna. It is a big city, the sea capital of Bulgaria. But this is a CITY.

Is the review not good at all?
To be honest, it's hard for me to choose. The last vacation I liked was spent in the Crimea, in a small village, in a small hotel on the embankment. We only had breakfast and dinner. For lunch we went to different cafes on the waterfront. In the evening again on the promenade, carousel-swing for the child. We went in September, so there were very few people. After that there was Tunisia, Turkey - I was not satisfied. I do not like big hotels, a lot of people, intrusive service. You sit in this hotel, you won't get anywhere. And I'm afraid to fail again.
аватар irina_1901
I think I finally understand. A small village, a small hotel, cafes, carousels in the center. Wow!!! Review is good, small. Hotels on the coast are not cheap. We were in Luka Helios Beach. I know that there is something for children, but I don’t remember exactly, mine is already an adult. There is a park, we walked there. Everyone who wants cheaper goes to the Favorit Hotel, it is 400 meters from the sea. It’s hard to drive from Obzor, far to both the northern and southern coasts, an hour and a half. I'd rather take Pomorie then, the private sector. Both entertainment and restaurants are inexpensive and a beautiful center with a temple. As for entertainment in Obzor, find some review on Turpravda for the past summer and write to people in a personal. They will be more precise. Also small villages: Primorsko, Ravda. As for entertainment, I won’t tell you, we don’t go there. Look for reviews.

Poola, thank you very much for being so busy with me! Travel agencies don't treat me like that :)
