holidays with a child
Hello! We are going in mid-June with a 4-year-old baby. We are still deciding on a place and a hotel. What is fed at this time of the year? I mean fruits and vegetables. Thank you.

They feed on the vegetables that grow in Bulgaria: tomatoes, cucumbers, etc. There will be cherries. And imported: oranges, bananas, apples. Meals depend on the hotel, or rather, on the price of the hotel. If you need advice on choosing a resort and hotel, then write in a personal. Budget plays a role, but you can find a good hotel for any budget.

There are few all-inclusive hotels in Bulgaria. In budget hotels, as a rule, breakfasts are meager eggs, 1 kind of yogurt. The child has nothing to eat. They don't cook porridge. It is better to rent an apartment with a kitchen. There are plenty of supermarkets. Cottage cheese, yoghurts, cereals, cook everything yourself, have lunch in a cafe, you can also have dinner yourself. Much cheaper than hotels. Territories in Bulgaria at hotels are all early small. If 3, then they will give you little fruit there - everything is chopped and they will not be allowed to take it out, it is better to buy it yourself. Last year we were in a hotel in Pomorie "St. Peter and Paul" 3 * - the sea is nearby, a restaurant, it's normal with a child. But this year we decided to just rent an apartment - it turned out much cheaper. From products there in shops all is. Children, however, are different, but I myself got tired of their breakfasts. Maybe in an expensive hotel they will feed better, although I doubt it.

yanushevich. You have probably been in Bulgaria in just one resort - Pomorie, so you have a not entirely correct idea. There are really few all-inclusive hotels in Pomorie, Kranevo, Sozopol, Balchik. There is a well-developed restaurant business, cafes are inexpensive and tasty. And in large resorts there are a lot of all-inclusive hotels, almost everything in Albena. There are many in Sunny Beach, Golden Sands, St. Constantine. We really like Albena, the food in the hotels is super, there are a lot of fruits. And you can't take it out of the restaurant anywhere. Although expensive hotels do not look at this and, if necessary, you can take it with you. I just don’t know why, if all this is in the bars all day. Breakfasts are not at all meager in normal hotels: eggs in different forms, sour butter, muesli, jams, pastries, cuts, pancakes. Many hotels have 2 types of porridge. There are bad hotels, regardless of the price, but there are good ones among budget hotels, for example, Amelia in Albena, Trakia Garden and Selena-2 in Sunny Beach, Gloria in St. Constantine. We also visited St. Peter and Paul. They cook very well in the restaurant for the money. And it's cheap to eat in the city. I would not take "all inclusive" there, here you are right. Standing at the stove on vacation is bad.

If you don’t want to spend half your vacation with your child in hospitals and leave three budgets in them, go to the apartments. Very dirty resorts in terms of infections. And medical services is a whole very corrupt industry. Children are also being bullied in expensive hotels, and this is not only food, but also swimming pools. Last year, medical centers were filled with children with rotavirus and pneumonia (not a cold, an infection). Rotavirus is not just a poisoning that can be overdone, it is a caterpillar on the arm and 10 days of a dropper with a diet and no sea. Then you will be given an estimate for medical services and you have a heart attack, because our insurance companies do not compensate for the services of BULGARIAN medical centers. And that says a lot.

Better add money (not much) and go to Greece, and you will be happy

Well, just a horror story from Tani12. We will go for the 11th year and do not get sick. It was, however, once, 3 days, but we were compensated for everything in Minsk. It was our fault not washed banana freshly bought. You need to be more careful during the season, wash your hands more often, etc. This can happen in any country, including in the UK. and in Greece. And Tani12, apparently, was also in Bulgaria 1 time and, perhaps, in the wrong resort and in the wrong hotel. It is necessary to consult, that's what the forum is for.

Yes, advisers ..... Hotels operating on an all-inclusive system are full, for every budget and taste. I would personally, and even with a child, so that I didn’t go to cook myself - what kind of vacation is this ???? We have a rest 2 times a year in different countries - Bulgaria, Egypt, Turkey, always with children, starting from the age of 1 year - we have never been to the hospital. Parents, you need to look after your children, then everything will be all right.
Answering the question - there are already almost all vegetables - cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, carrots, different types of lettuce and cabbage, etc. Fruits - cherries, apples, plums, etc. by season. Have a nice rest!

I also forgot about apricots, they are also in June. I don't know if they are imported.

We rested 2 times in the Security Council, we didn’t meet any rotovirus .. But at home it happened a couple of times .. I think this trouble can be picked up anywhere, but Bulgaria has nothing to do with it ..

I absolutely agree with 9zlhbejk, with a child only on "all inclusive" (on a buffet, it's always easier to feed a child). This year we booked in the Dunes, they say the best resort for children in Bulgaria. And about cheaper, I don't agree that 60 -80 lev per day food for two is cheap.
аватар irina_1901
60-80 leva (30-40 euros) per day for two with a child is expensive for Bulgaria. At an expensive and good resort for families with children - Albena, on a wonderful buffet, it even comes out cheaper.

The point is that "all inclusive" justifies itself in any way, and 30-40 euros include incl. snacks (regular, in the fresh air and near the sea), ice cream, water, etc. As for me with a teenager, lovers of food, this amount is right up to the mark. And if the hotel has good cuisine, I don’t regret a single kilogram brought after the rest.

We were with children and did not even see or hear any rotovirus infection. There were people with children who did not even go to the sea. Rinse in the pool. And there this rubbish is easier to pick up. The kitchen is ok. Enough food for breakfast. I personally had enough coffee and biscuits. Lunch starts at 12. Not a single child died of starvation there. Wash your hands often and spend less time in the pool. There is nothing better than the sea. And in the middle of June it is still clean and does not bloom. From June 14 we will go to Sunny Beach and to the same hotel as last year - Chrysanthemum.
