Help me choose a hotel!
Help me choose a hotel! Completely confused! We would like to go at the beginning of September. Our preferences:
1. Close proximity to the sea is not important.
2. Desirable road from the sea to the hotel without lifts.
3. I would like the hotel building itself to have some interesting modern shape, and not the usual freshly painted Soviet 5 or 9-storey building.
4. Undesirable noisy place - we are with children.
5. I would like some "center" within a 10-15 minute walk, with a lot of entertainment, bars, cafes, souvenirs, etc.
6. Meals - breakfast, or no meals.
7. Maximum green area of the hotel.
8. The rest schedule is something like this: from morning to lunch, the sea, then sights until the evening. We will spend little time at the hotel, so the infrastructure of the hotel is not important.
9. Average price (3* or 4*)
10. Thank you!

You know, everything contradicts each other. The hotel has an interesting shape, but you will not be in the hotel enough? Then what hotel, how many stars? Children's age? How is it without food? And proximity to the sea is not important, but do you need entertainment? I prioritize proximity to the sea. And even more so with children. Can you answer and advise.

Hotel 3-4 *. Children 5 and 12 years old. Meals breakfasts. Proximity to the sea is not important, but entertainment is needed - yes, that's right, that's right. Yes, we want the hotel to have an interesting beautiful shape, even if we spend little time there, it seems to me that there is nothing unusual in this desire.
аватар irinavladnik
I didn't just ask. Look at the hotel "Martinez" Sozopol. From the sea 50 meters, its own territory, a garden with roses, security, a beautiful architectural solution, a swimming pool, the largest in Sozopol, the food is excellent, you can have breakfast or all inclusive. The rooms are huge from 65 to 100 meters. Bedroom and living room, kitchenette. Old and New city. 300 cafes and restaurants. I don't know if you'll get through the budget.

In Bulgaria, I do not advise you to take hotels similar to palaces. These are usually huge hotels with a lack of places at the pool and in the restaurant. Better than an average, not very big hotel. Where there is plenty of entertainment (big resorts) food is usually all inclusive. And why don't you like it? Good hotels offer good food. With a child of 5 years old, going to restaurants is a problem. In September, you need to take the south coast = Sunny Beach. Knowing the resorts well, I don’t even know what to advise you. Good hotels there (animation, entertainment) on "all inclusive". I also see contradictions, requests are unusual for Bulgaria.

with 5 year old kids every afternoon sightseeing? after he bathes in the sea and gets tired?
hotel requests are more like Turkey.
аватар irinavladnik
I also thought so. Can you see Turkey?
аватар Igor_m
In Turkey, it would be better to realize your wishes - in Bulgaria such a set is only in Golden Sands, Nessebar, and even then with a stretch. There will be enough sights in one place for a couple of days, then you have to travel.

The Palace Hotel in the Sunny Day resort (not the beach) came to my mind. This is the north coast. But you can eat there only in the hotel itself, and it is 5 * and not cheap. The restaurants of St. Constantine, which is nearby, are far away. The rest of the hotels in this resort (Marina, Mirage, Veronica) are all-inclusive. And the resorts where good and inexpensive food - Pomorie, Kranevo - there are hotels of the usual form. St. Constantine has an unusual Sirius hotel, but it is all-inclusive. By the way, I just figured it out. Hotel Romance on Konstantin. It is far from the sea, for breakfast. The beach is used by the Azalea hotel, it is good. Meals at the resort at average prices. Oh, and I also remembered. There is also the Estreya Palace Hotel, only it is on half board (breakfast-dinner). It is inexpensive in September, there are outdoor and indoor pools, the shape is unusual. The nearest beach is bad, but you can walk to Rubina or Sirius beach. This is probably almost what you need. But there is no animation at the pool.

And why are you going to the sea with such small children? The sea does not interest you, and entertainment is almost in the first place? And what will the children do at this moment when you are having fun? What a strange request.
аватар irinavladnik
Poola, you and I know how not easy it is to take a vacation with children. Sea, swimming pool, food. Everything must be taken into account. When our son traveled with us, all the time was devoted to him. They taught me how to swim, swam a lot, played tennis, even my husband taught me how to play billiards. The child came first. Our interests are second.
аватар irina_1901
irinavladi71. I understand that this is a very mobile family, children from a young age are travelers. Everyone has their own priorities, but I just don't understand. how to go to restaurants with a small child, because it will be hard for him to wait until they cook. Apparently, they have read that in Bulgaria you don’t have to take all-inclusive, but I think that this is not suitable for families with children. Children need animation, ice cream and drinks by the pool, and the way the building of good hotels looks like - personally, this does not bother me at all. But Estreya Palace will suit them. And the territory there is green, and the place is excellent. Here, only to a good beach about 15 minutes to go.
аватар irinavladnik
Poola, all inclusive with kids is a good option. And not only with children. The son has been resting in Greece since July 15th. Hotel by the sea, all-inclusive food, why run somewhere. But when they drive a rented car, they eat in taverns and sometimes go somewhere in the evenings. All options can be combined.
аватар kaimantop
Many thanks to everyone who cares! I will look at all the options offered. You are right about the mobile family. For many years we have been going on vacation, but usually to the Crimea. Just a couple of times Turkey Egypt. Were in hotels, and in hotels, and in apartments, and in tents, and close to the sea and far from the sea. And hiking in the mountains. Therefore, children have grown (grow) not harmful and not picky. For two weeks of vacation we try to live in 2-3 different places. Tears well up in the eyes when people go to rest in the same hotel for many years in a row. What I don't understand is this. Why don't we want "all inclusive"? Because everything is the same every day - food, waiters, interior, restaurant ... And so you can go to another place, to the third, to the fourth - they feed differently there, different dishes, different service, different people. Well, we like it so much that we can do with ourselves :)
irinavladi71, I very carefully re-read everything that I wrote and did not find anywhere that the sea is not interested. By entertainment, I mean: some kind of trampoline, a slide directly on the sea, and in an afternoon walk around the city (along the embankment) some kind of cars, shooting range, etc., and for adults attractions, discos, bars, etc.
аватар irinavladnik
You contradict yourself. And where will the children be when you are at the disco? Do you have a nanny?
аватар kaimantop
My wife and I will take turns :)))))
аватар irinavladnik
Yes, you know, we don't eat all inclusive either. But when I had lunch, dined with my husband in cafes and restaurants, I somehow always thought, what can I feed my children with? Orders are something like this: chicken soup, pizza, spaghetti. Bulgarian cuisine is a lot of grilling. If there is stew, chicken, then they put a lot of seasonings. Just so you can imagine.
аватар irinavladnik
Those choices for kids are not very big. We just liked everything. Kebabs, grilled meat, sausages, Sach-fish, meat, vegetable, grilled shrimp, vegetable salads. lamb on a spit, chicken stew, most often in curry sauce. Have a nice rest! Choose a hotel
аватар irina_1901
kaimantop. In continuation of irinavladi71's reasoning, I will say that the hotel always has dishes designed for children, but there are practically none in restaurants. If you take at least half board, and go to a restaurant for dinner every other day, feeding only a small one at the hotel, it will still be cheaper than taking without food. We will do just that this year. We take the last week from September 5 to September 12 at the Gloria Hotel on St. Constantine. The place is wonderful, green. The goal is to travel around Bulgaria, it is very convenient from this resort. The price during this period is ridiculous for all inclusive. I think we can always find something for breakfast. It is possible to have lunch when we are not going anywhere. We will go to restaurants for dinner. But I didn’t write to you about this hotel, because in September anything can happen with the weather, and in Gloria there is no indoor pool and the building is the most common for a 3 *, such as a Soviet.
аватар kaimantop
You see, but we had no idea that there was little or no children's food in restaurants, and that the food was spicy (Bulgarian feature). Let's keep that in mind. Thanks for the advice!
аватар irinavladnik
Yes, we are all about restaurants. But dairy products, cheeses are very tasty. And, of course, fruit! You will definitely find supermarkets.
аватар Natassha_Kiev
already belatedly would advise Flamingo Grand in Albena. The hotel is relatively new. Meals - half board, you can just breakfast. The rooms are large, there is a small kitchen right in the room. The resort is green. There is where to walk and what to see (if you walked up, you got on the bus at the bus station) - and even to Burgas, even to Varna, Balchik, Cape Kaliakra, etc.
As for a 5-year-old child who gets tired of waiting in a restaurant, he won't get tired, believe me. My children enjoy going to restaurants. The same breakfast-lunch-dinner in the same hotel - it's just longing! As for the grill and spicy pizza 0 in any good restaurant there is a so-called "cooking food" - these are different national dishes, not grilled. The same moussaka, beans in pots, stuffed peppers, etc. Also, I will reveal a terrible secret - you can always ask for something dietary for a child in a restaurant - boiled meat or fish, a boiled egg, natural mashed potatoes. Our friends always ordered a salad of cucumbers and carrots - this is what their child ate))) It never surprised anyone! And our friend always ordered a Shopska salad without tomatoes))) We were perplexed - just order a salad of cucumbers - and she - nooo, in Shopsok there are baked peppers and feta cheese

Thank you very much for your advice, but we are already back.

This is me, for the future! Where did you end up going? Share your impressions)
аватар irina_1901
Natasha_Kiev. Hello. We were at Flamingo Grand a couple of years ago. The rooms are really luxurious. But the hotel seemed uncomfortable to us, besides it was very expensive, and the author needs an average, 3-4 *. This is also for the future. For me, Laguna Garden is better nearby. And you can also order a separate meal for the child. And the buffet there is beyond praise. The choice of dishes is such that you can not repeat the week. And natural juices in August.
аватар irinavladnik
Natassha_Kiev, I'm not surprised that your children love restaurants. I saw this only in Bulgaria, a restaurant, music yells, it's 11 am, everyone is smoking around, and there are Bulgarian kids all around. I can't even imagine that someone in Moscow would sit in such an atmosphere! They won't allow it! And mashed potatoes, at all resorts, are powdered and very tasteless. Your children are probably more Bulgarians (girls), so it’s somehow easier for you
аватар irina_1901
irinavladi71. Natassha has small children, preschoolers. I am also surprised that girls love restaurants, because you have to wait a long time there ... And mashed potatoes are not powdered everywhere, even in inexpensive hotels they cook natural. We ate this from Selena-2 on SB, in Gloria on St. Constantine, in Amelia in Albena. Well, in Tiara Beach on Sat.

We ended up finding the hotel as we wanted, with one exception - "Sovdepovskaya freshly painted 3-story building." That was the only downside, albeit a minor one.
I will now briefly try to describe the whole trip - what if someone will be interested!
We were two families - a total of 7 people with children. We went from Kharkov, in 2 cars. Abroad on their cars - the first time. It turned out to be 2250 km to Sunny Beach, 1700 back. There are more, because in Romania we visited one beautiful place. After the first day of the journey, we spent the night in Odessa. The second day was taken by a trip to the border + the border itself, we stopped in Romania - it was already getting dark. Since according to our schedule we had to be here much earlier, we decided to go further. As a result, at 4 am we spent the night somewhere outside Brasov, right in the car. At 7 o'clock we went on. And here began what we ended up in Romania at all - the "Transfagarash Highway". Who does not know, well, of course, who is interested - look at Google. This is one of the most beautiful tracks in the world. 2 times higher than the Ai-Petrinsky plateau. Emotions just went wild from what he saw! I advise everyone. Then we planned to spend the night in some kind of hotel on the border with Bulgaria. But thinking about it, let's move on.
аватар Igor_m
They wound "there" extra almost 400 km. It was necessary to go to Kyiv - Chisinau, etc. Here is a link to the map http://goo.gl/maps/o6rkJ. We would spend the night outside Chisinau (the hotel is marked with an asterisk on the map) and in the evening we would arrive in Sat. Well, yes God bless this - drive along 7C (Transfegerashan) - and you can consider yourself a real driver and tourist! Well done!!! But you also need to visit Brasov, Ryshnov, Bran and Sinai!

http://goo.gl/maps/o6rkJ. This is a link to the shortest path, passed it in the opposite direction.

The overall impression of the room is excellent. Clean, spacious, cleaned every other day. 4 air conditioners for the whole room, 2 showers, flat TV, and in general everything is worthy, especially the price! :))) There is a lot of greenery on the territory - as we wanted. Not a bad pool with a slide. The pool is generally normal, I write "not bad" because half a year ago we were in Hurghada Albatros Jangle Aqua Park, and it "a little" distorts reality. I won’t say anything about food at the hotel - we didn’t even know where the restaurant was. We ate either in the city, or in other settlements or in our kitchen. To the sea 3-4 minutes, near a supermarket. I really liked Sunny Beach - I love this: a lot of people, everything moves, glows, plays, and so on. Nessebar struck. Really Amazed!!! And also St. Vlas. Very beautiful places! We went to Burgas - nothing special, even their famous shopping center - so-so. What else surprised me was that there were a lot of rapans in the sea, they collected and cooked in their kitchen. On the last day in Sveti Vlas, a huge package of mussels was picked up on the pier! It was the most delicious thing I've eaten in the last few years :))) Rapana and mussels are very available in the sea, for example, in the Crimea, you have to sweat a lot to collect so much.
In general, the holiday was a success!
