Is it worth it to go to the sea in March just to change the home environment
Summer in Bulgaria is good, but what can you expect in March at seaside resorts? In the same Nessebar there will be completely wilderness, closed shops, non-working hotels and completely empty streets with lonely locals? I can’t imagine what a seaside resort looks like in winter and spring. There is a desire to go for two weeks or a month, just to live, change the situation, walk along the cold sea in jackets. How much can a one-room apartment cost at this time (which in June costs 20-30 euros per day)? Who can tell about this time? about any coastal town in Bulgaria.

Or maybe it's better in the off-season to the mountains? Let in the same Bulgaria. Near Sofia the mountains are beautiful and civilization is not far away. Temples, lakes, springs...

Most often, seaside resorts in the off-season look lonely deserted with non-working shops and empty apartments of local residents.
More or less lively seaside resorts in March with the same price category as Bulgaria, these are Antalya (Turkey), all the resorts of Cyprus, Thessaloniki (Greece).

If you drop your e-mail, I will send you the photos that I took on March 3 in Nessebar. When the sun is shining, it's even nice. But on cloudy days, it's cold.
In addition to performances in the Nessebar reading ground, on March 8, 17, 22 and 27, there will be no events in Nessebar. They start in May. There were several events in February. February 14 was Trifon Zarezan, V. Levski's birthday in Sveti Vlas. Tomorrow I will describe in my blog http://kozyrog.wordpress.com/ "In love with Nessebar". We haven't lived here yet in March. But life is starting to come alive. There are few operating hotels. Last week, relatives came with friends to buy a home here. We lived in Sveti Vlas in the Magic Dreams complex. They bought a house in another Dreams, and they got free accommodation. But the original price was 36 euros for a two-bedroom apartment. For four, it's not expensive. In the summer they were there for 45 euros. In Sunny Beach complex St. Helena for 25 euros in summer. Type on the Internet in the search engine any convenient option.
For reference: the cities of Nessebar, Sunny Beach and Sveti Vlas move from one to another. You can rent a car and drive around nearby places, go to Pomorie to the spa center at the Grand Hotel Pomorie. Rent is small

I would advise you not to go to the sea, but to Veliko Tarnovo - the ancient capital of Bulgaria. there are inexpensive decent hotels, and there is also something to see. Or to a seaside resort, to a hotel that operates all year round and take some kind of health procedures. The beautiful resort of St. Konstantin and Elena is very suitable for this. There are pools with mineral water, a thermal pool. Good transport connection with Varna, only 8 km, there is a bus. Look at Estreya Palace/Residence hotel, I don't know if it's open all year round.

I also considered a trip to the sea in March, but then I decided that I would go to the mountains, and the sea is better in the summer. In addition, hotel prices in March are not a bit lower than in summer. But, if you want to go to the sea, then why not go!? I would choose resorts where people live all year round.

I am now with my children in Bulgaria with my mother-in-law, in the Ruse region, not by the sea. Yesterday it was sunny and quite warm. Today it is raining and cloudy. But everywhere the grass has already begun to turn green, trees will soon bloom. People wear martenichki and always in the city in the central place - a tree decorated with martenichki. If you decide to go to the sea, I would advise you to go to the city - to Varna, Pomorie, Burgas, Nessebar is also possible. Restaurants are open, cafes too, shops are open, prices are good.

I love going to seaside resorts in winter. Firstly, the weather is wonderful, the sun is warm, everything is blooming. Secondly, there is no heat and no people, you can safely take a walk, travel on excursions. The locals are very happy to see you, and do not tolerate you in the high season. Then you can do great shopping. Personally, every year for 8 years I have been going to Bulgaria 3-4 times a year - in summer, spring and winter. There is no season when I don't like it. Empty and closed shops are about the northern resorts and everything north of Nessebar (except for large cities like Varna, of course). And in Nessebar, Burgas and even in Sozopol you can have a great rest

What blooms there in March? Natassha Kiev writes that the weed is just beginning, and she is there now. It begins to bloom, in my opinion, at the end of April. Or am I wrong? I never went to Bulgaria by the sea before June.

In fact, what the fuck is blooming. And the grass is green all year round. Different bushes bloom - yellow, white, lilac - I don’t know the names. Different coltsfoots bloom, snowdrops, daisies, magnolias bloom from January to March, where, in the Sozopol region, roses bloom all year round. You can always see beauty

Well ... (((I'm already starting to regret that I'm going to the mountains. I love it when everything blooms and no matter what. The main thing is blooming!

the dogwood blossoms already - yellow. The grass is green, today - in general, the weather is very good - warm. As for me - if you go to Sandanski now - it will be just wonderful! On March 22 they will celebrate Parva Prolet - the first spring, everything should already bloom decently)
It's great in the mountains too!

Back on February 20, I photographed blossoming almonds. Not a single leaf, but the whole tree is in pink flowers. Now the cherry blossoms are in bloom, new flowers are starting to bloom. The period of sunshine begins. The temperature is now + 13. On Sunday there will be light rain in Nessebar. Then again sunny days. After March 20 it will be +17. Spring has begun.

Flowering in winter and early spring in Bulgaria is quite acceptable:
from January - snowdrops, from February - almonds, crocuses, daffodils, from the beginning of March - cherry plum, apricot, dogwood.
