Sol Luna Bay Resort or Soll Nessebar Bay & Mare
Good afternoon! We are already starting to look at summer offers with the family. Interested in Bulgaria. Tell me which is better for children Sol Luna Bay Resort or Sol Nessebar Bay & Mare. The first in Obzor, the second in Nessebar. I would like to visit the sights too. In which region of Bulgaria is the most picturesque and interesting from the point of view of a tourist?

The review is more suitable for a relaxing holiday, but further from the airport. Nessebar is closer to two water parks + Nessebar itself.
A n Burgas works at the limit, overloaded, there is nowhere to turn. But in Varna this year a new modern terminal was to be opened. Can you choose something in this region?
аватар zzannai
Can you recommend anything about the hotel. Both hotels are from the same Sol network, both are 4 *, and the price differs by 500 euros for a 2 + 2 ticket (Nessebar is more expensive). What's the catch?
аватар irina_1901
Petromir is right. It is better to relax with children and see more in the Varna region. Obzor is a very isolated resort. Far as to the northern coast (it refers specifically to the north), and to the south. I don’t know when you will go, but in August it is stormy there, the specifics of the location. For families with children, Albena is the best. A green resort with wide beaches, animation for children and good food. For hotels, write to your personal mail if you need advice. There are too many people in Nessebar Bay / Mare / Palace.

I'm afraid to confuse hotels, I have been for a long time. Read about the beach of the hotel in Nessebar. there, a number of good hotels are located on the rise, and the beach is below with huge boulders. This one is similar, but I won’t say for sure, especially since the reviews recommend it for families with children.
But the price is interesting. Now compared from Moscow, there is practically no difference in prices for these hotels.
аватар irina_1901
We have almost the same price in Minsk, the difference is 2 + 2 at 20 euros.
аватар Solea
Both hotels are good. If you don’t plan to go anywhere, then you can stay in Obzor (the beach is closer there). And if you want to be closer to people, then Nessebar, to see the world and show yourself. There are incomparably more places to get out in Nessebar

See also Albena! In honor of the 45th anniversary of the opening of the Albena resort, this resort will be very interesting next summer. For example, a new water park will open. Guests staying in Vita Park and Ralitsa Superior can use the Aquapark free of charge. Free donuts and 2 sun loungers on the beach in Albena. And there is much more to see than just Nessebar. This is the Balchik bot garden and cactus alley and the summer residence of the Russian queen, and we are Kaliakra, and Varna - you can go to the Dolphinarium in it, or go to the Stone Forest.
As for the selected hotels - near the Sol Nessebar hotels the sea is not very good, the beach is small and rocky. And paid. The overview of Sol Luna Bay is not bad, but it is also a little out of the way. In general, the hotels of the Sol network in Bulgaria have very large rooms, this is the main plus. But in Albena 100% better food and animation

Many thanks to everyone for the replies. We are planning a trip from mid-August, but we have a very small tourist market in the Baltics, and prices are much higher than in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, unfortunately, and the choice of hotels is somewhat limited. Children 6 and 12 years old. We are going to the sea, so I would like a hotel with a good beach and a relatively calm and clean sea, a convenient entrance. Quality food is a must. The children wanted the hotel to have slides, water related activities. We, adults, would like to see the sights, go on excursions.

See also Sveti Vlas. Beautiful resort. The beaches in Marina Dinevi (this is a whole complex with hotels, restaurants and a yacht port) this year had EU blue flags as an international sign, which is assigned to places and beaches where the ecology of water, land and air meets all standards. And from there it is not far to Nessebar. Interesting international children's festivals are held there just in August. There is something to see. Some of these festivals are also held in Sveti Vlas. There is an amphitheater where children's discos are held 3 times a week.
(Nessebar passes into Sunny Beach, which borders on Sveti Vlas. And between them there is a bus number 5 and number 8. Every 20 minutes.)
It all depends on the cost of vouchers that you expect.
Elenite has a large water park. It is about 2 km from Sveti Vlas. There are no good slides in hotels. There is nothing like Turkey or Egypt here. I know the only hotel in which there is a small aqua complex, "Kotva", on the border of Sunny Beach and Nessebar (five minutes walk to it). Search the internet for this hotel. But there are good water parks in Sunny Beach itself, and even better on the outskirts of Nessebar and Sunny Beach.
аватар Solea
Yes, Sveti Vlas is generally good for families with children. And quiet, and you can easily get to the old Nessebar, to Sunny Beach by bus.
In Obzor, in the hotel in question, there are 6 different slides.
аватар petromir
but you also have Air Baltic and other low-cost airlines. Maybe there is a cheap flight option? and booking a hotel or apart-hotel is not a problem. I know that they fly from Ukraine mainly to Turkey, and ordering a transfer from there is easy, a lot of Bulgarians earn extra money with this.
As for slides, I agree with kozyrog, this is far from Turkey, slides are rare and primitive there, it’s worth a ride to water parks. If we consider the same Nessebar, then the one on the road is newer, but even the SB is not bad. They carry special buses for free, there were some tickets that give a discount on re-entry on another day, they did not use.
Food in Bulgaria - well, what can I say, everyone has their own tastes, in my opinion, for the Russian stomach and habits - excellent.
аватар irina_1901
We went for a walk on St. Vlas last summer. The resort has become unreasonably expensive, there are no less people than in the center of Sunny Beach, and there is nothing special for children to do. That's just an amphitheater, before there were children's shows only on Sundays at 20:00, but you still need to get to it. And it's only for younger kids. Better then, Sunny Beach. As for water parks, children aged 6 and 12 have nothing to do there, they will practically not be allowed anywhere. The slides at the hotels are better. But on SB there is a water park, and not as extreme as in Nessebar. And I don’t know where to go on excursions from the south coast with children. Usually go Nessebar, Sozopol, Bulgarian village. True, you can Pirate fight, it is everywhere.

petromir Air Boltik is not a cheap company at all, charter flights to the Bulgarian destination are operated by Bulgarian Air Charter.
Many thanks to everyone for your generosity! Have made for themselves a conclusion - the Review disappears. Thank you for your hotel recommendations. The priorities are as follows: 1) Quality food and service; 2) Clean and calm sea, clean beach, convenient entrance; 3) The presence of water slides (children insist) and evening activities; 4) Not too far from the airport; 5) Interesting excursions and attractions
Thank you!

And here's another thing that interests me ... In July-August, the water in the sea "blooms" in the Baltic Sea, there is a lot of garbage and mud. Like in mid-August in Bulgaria, isn't it the same?
аватар irina_1901
Sometimes it happens, but not along the entire coast, but in places. Last summer we were in August in Sunny Beach, in Nessebar (1 week each) and 2 weeks in Albena. There was nothing like that, but others complained that there were places. Although last summer was not like the standard. I hope next summer will be standard. Bulgaria has a very good climate and sea. For hotels, my recommendations, given the prices, are in Albena Sandy Beach or Mura hotels. In Sunny Beach, Tiara Beach, Laguna Park. If you need cheaper, please ask.
аватар Solea
was in St. Vlas at the Club Salut - Moonlight hotel. There are no slides, but I liked the quiet beach and the good animation of the Salut club. You can also see Elenite with hotels ...

Poola, thanks, I'll see if our TOs have any suggestions for these hotels.

About hotels. Nice hotel in Sunny Beach "Helena". But apparently expensive. He is on the first line, always full. Mostly Germans and British. But here you need to prioritize. Do you choose the sea or hotel accommodation? Check the internet for reviews of the hotels you have chosen. Then you will not pay attention to any nonsense. Near "Helena" (and here near "Fiesta" (they lived there in the first half of August last year, "Majestic", "Victoria Palace") there is always a clean beach. Even if algae will cause other places. In any case, walk along the coast and you will find a clean entrance to the water. We have been here since May 1 and always found a good entrance. A day later I went from Sveti Vlas (15 minutes) to "Helena" to play volleyball. Blooming water, as I saw 25 years ago in Jurmala, is not here I saw him in half a year, I swam almost every day, starting from June 1. The last time I got into the water was on November 9.

About hills. They are not in every good hotel. You can’t remember everything, but I know for sure that they are in Laguna Park. Back in Trakia 3*, but the hotel is very average. And Tiara is very good, but there may not be slides. But good animation for children and adults, do not get bored. Yes, it is necessary to choose something optimal.

I would choose Laguna Mare in Albena and not even think about it. Everything you need is there, and much calmer than on Zolotye and Sunny Beach
аватар olga17477
Zzannai from what you wrote: Laguna Mare in Albena - very good (I agree with Natassha kiev), on Sat - Iberostar Sunny Beach (my operator has a higher asterisk) I won’t tell you about the RFP.
аватар petromir
yeah, you're kinda sloppy
аватар irina_1901
I have described the hotels in detail in my personal mail, so as not to occupy the attention of others. And briefly - I would take Laguna Mare in Albena with the proviso that you will be attached to the restaurant and the Laguna Garden pool (there is none of this). That's how we attach it.

zzannai, Boltik from Russia is very widely used for flights to Europe, we have very good. it comes out on a budget, although he himself has never flown it.
With flights to Bulgaria, I looked at you, the situation is not ice, only Boltik or better with the Turks to Stabula, as the Ukrainians do in our regions. About 187 euros / person round trip ticket comes out. And ordering a car from Bulgaria is not a problem at all via the Internet, it’s not cheap. Only closer then consider Nessebar, SB, Sveti Vlas. Well, compare the cost. Unfortunately, such destinations often turn out to be cheaper as a package than on their own. But there is also an opportunity for the same money to choose apartments of a large area with any food options, up to all inclusive.
аватар irina_1901
None of the apartments have what is important for them: animation and slides. And with us, a round-trip flight from Minsk costs 250 euros / person. Probably the most expensive.
аватар zzannai
Many thanks to all, fortunately, there is still enough time to choose. For now, I will mark Laguna for myself as an option + the same Sol Nessebar Bay / Marais.
petromir we don’t have a lot, these are samples from what TA offered me at my request, there are much more offers, but not like in Russia, Balarus and Ukraine. We have only + two TOs - TezTour and Novaturs, 75% of the offers are identical and only 25% are exclusive (in their opinion).
In any case, regardless of my choice, gentlemen, I am very grateful to you all!!!
