Which resort has the clearest sea?
Please share your experience, is there a resort in Bulgaria with less algae? This summer we rested in Sunny Beach, bought only 3 days after arrival. Then it stormed well and the sea turned into a green soup, the children could not be driven into the water. Maybe this happens only in August, or at resorts located, as it were, in the bay? I would like to go to Bulgaria again, but swim from the heart.

Yes, this is typical of Sunny Beach, the resort itself is like a big lagoon. Take a closer look at Obzor - a good hotel Sol Luna Bay, you can go further south - Pomorie, Primorsko, Kiten, there is definitely no such thing

Algae can appear at any time and anywhere. Moreover, in 20 meters they may not be, they also disappear suddenly. We were in August at 3 resorts, algae did not appear for a month, but at the end of August, blue jellyfish appeared in Albena, for the first time in many years they were seen.

You managed to leave the SB before the algae appeared. If at first they walked in a strip along the shore of 10-15 meters, then they reached their apogee: there were many of them even at depth, the husband almost swam to the buoys, and near the shore until you go waist-deep because of them the bottom was not visible. By the day of departure, a little cleared up, but the children got sick. I heard on the beach that some went to the beach in St. Vlas, in New Nessebar they themselves saw the transparent sea, but it seemed much smaller there

We rested in St. Vlas in July for 2 weeks. There were no algae or jellyfish.

Rested on Sat from August 19 to 30, there were algae, but so that the "soup" was only one day. Mostly they were not. But when I walked along the coast (for quite long distances) I saw large accumulations of algae in other places on the Sat and quietly rejoiced that the sea was clear on our beach ... But huge blue and purple jellyfish literally flooded the sea on August 29, especially towards the middle of the day . In the morning I still swam, but then, seeing this "charm" in the water and on the shore, I didn’t dare again. The son took a chance and got a severe burn, he even had to go to a dermatologist, it went away only a week later with the help of ointment and tablets. I think that it is impossible to "secure" your vacation from algae and jellyfish, this is the sea - a living organism that lives its own life and it is impossible to predict how it will behave.
