Of course, it is better to go to Turkey. But it is getting more and more expensive every year.

In the USSR there was a saying that a chicken is not a bird, Bulgaria is not a foreign country.
Many years ago I wanted to go with my daughter to Bulgaria, but a friend from TA dissuaded me by saying that for "normal" money, it's a complete trash, and "good" Bulgaria is very expensive.
I am definitely in favor of Turkey.
аватар irina_1901
I am for Bulgaria. And where to go - it all depends on the age of the children, priorities and the allocated budget. I don't know what Turkish fans are doing on the Bulgarian forum. Here are those who love Bulgaria.
аватар Pachok
This is not a "Bulgarian forum". This is a general FAQ section. And everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Yes, about prices ... there is another question. Last summer I chose a hotel in Turkey for 2 + a child. So for the price at which there is a "bad" four in Turkey, I rested in one of the best hotels in Egypt. Up to 3000 USD for three - a normal hotel with conditions for a child - you will not find. And in Bulgaria. There are still a lot of owls out there. And newer hotels are really expensive. Although as an option with a child, it is very good, since there is not a strong change in climate.

Panchok. I agree that all opinions should be taken into account. I'm all for it". I myself write about many hotels not very good reviews to warn against mistakes. But still, those who want to go to Bulgaria come to this forum. If you were there and you did not like it, it is better if you write what exactly and in which hotel. It will be more useful than just dissuading people. I believe that animation is more in Turkey and the sea is better in Bulgaria. In Albena, children are free until almost 12 years old, a good buffet, the beach is wide, the sea is shallow, sunbeds and umbrellas are free. What else do kids need? And who cares about Albena, that is, Kranevo, Pomorie, Sozopol, St. Konstantin. You just need to know which hotel to choose so as not to regret it. That's what a forum is for. And those who want to go to Turkey will receive the same useful advice on another forum.

The joke is that the question is written in the "Bulgaria" section, but it is also displayed in the general section of the site "turpravda" "questions / answers". That is, pool comes here from the "Bulgaria" subsection, and Pachok from the general site)))
Well, as if the author of the question himself asked about Turkey, so stories about Turkey itself are very appropriate.
аватар Pachok
Poola, I repeat - this is NOT a Bulgarian forum. The question was originally: "Where is it better to go with children in Bulgaria? Or is it better to go to Turkey?" My message "Better to Turkey" is the answer to the question asked, and not excuses from Bulgaria.
аватар Oleksii64
It has to be looked at in terms of money. And the age of the children, if they are 16-18 years old, then they will be delighted with Sunny Beach :))
аватар Oleksii64
I looked at the account, the children are clearly younger, sorry. But you still need to decide on a budget.
аватар irina_1901
This question cannot be answered at all, because it is incorrectly asked. After all, we do not know what the author of the question expects from the vacation. What is good for some, others do not need at all, as we do in Turkey and Egypt (there were 1 time each). And monosyllabic answers without arguments are hardly useful. Maraftka, thanks for explaining, otherwise I didn’t understand anything at all ... Indeed, it’s funny. Yes, I argue with Pachok.

Answering the question darosha15. Better than Turkey.
аватар ekaterina8020
I went with my son three times to Bulgaria and once to Turkey ... in terms of climate, Bulgaria is definitely better ... there are many other nuances that make him like Bulgaria more, for example, a cuisine that you don’t have to get used to ... now he already a teenager can choose for himself .. and again wants to go to Bulgaria .. entertainment - mass, social circle - international, prices are moderate .. even with small children in Bulgaria in resorts like Albena, it’s quite comfortable .. and most importantly, on a wallet You can really choose whatever you want..
аватар darosha15
Children are 4 years old and 6 years old. We were in Turkey just for a change, we think to try Bulgaria, but we are afraid not to regret it later. Can you recommend a specific hotel in Bulgaria?
аватар ivanova156
we also chose Turkey and Bulgaria, but settled on Turkey, because. good Bulgaria is more expensive + municipal beaches, and this is every day for 4 more surcharges for sunbeds for 6 lions. We decided that we would not be able to pull Bulgaria in terms of money, and Turkey was caught by early booking for 2880 5 * room 2 + 2 and good children's animation. We were in Turkey 2 times, but were not in Bulgaria, so our choice is this. Although, perhaps, in the next. year we will go to Bulgaria or Montenegro. It is necessary to conquer new countries, to learn something new :)
аватар Pachok
darosha15, if you have already been to Turkey and you liked it, most likely Bulgaria will disappoint you.
Moderate prices in Bulgaria - for the so-called apartments (in other words, the private sector), many people like it. But on the beach in this case, indeed, you will have to pay for everything - both for a sunbed / umbrella, and for drinking some water. In addition, the beaches are walkable, anyone roams around, theft.
And good hotels cost the same as in Turkey or even more. At the same time, again, - with your own beach and in the first line - still look ... You can not even dream of Turkish children's animation.
In general, it's up to you. I also went to Bulgaria for the sake of diversity twice, and decided that there was no need to reinvent the wheel when there was Turkey.

Dear! In my opinion, the question was asked: Where is it better? But where is cheaper? The main thing is how you want to relax: with children or "separately" from children!? In Turkey, children's animation, a children's club, a kindergarten are much stronger, almost in any hotel you can "take" a nanny, etc. My friend chooses Turkey precisely because of this: she “surrendered” the kids and rest, I, they say, also want to sunbathe, and not sculpt sandals in the coastal dunes! And it was always interesting for me and my child to swim and have Easter cakes, etc. Therefore, children's entertainment was not needed. For me, the "+" of Bulgaria compared to Turkey are the following: Mild climate, less salty sea, food is closer to ours (but here it tastes and color ...), the local population treats Russians well, there are almost no problems with the language. As for the "scoop", choose resorts to the south, they are more modern or hotels built not very long ago. Well, in Bulgaria it is not necessary to take "ALL", eating and feeding children is not a problem and not expensive! Talk to Poola about the hotel, she is an expert in this matter! Another "+" of Bulgaria - the child wants to go there, they were in Turkey and Egypt, they don't want to go there, but to Bulgaria Yes!
аватар irina_1901
If your budget allows, take Nona 3* or Arabella Beach 4* in Albena. Umbrellas and sunbeds in Albena are free on the beach and by the pool. They work with children, but not like in Turkey, everything is easier. And since you are my fellow countrymen and maybe you want cheaper, then write in a personal, we will find something.
аватар Pachok
olga17477, why reduce children's animation to nannies, Easter cakes and denunciation of a girlfriend? :) How about educational games, international children's performances, searches for "pirate treasures", physical education, dancing, painting T-shirts? If interested, check out the Pirates Beach Club - I don't know a single child who doesn't squeal with delight from him.
This, if we omit such subjective things as climate, sea, food (personally, in my opinion, all three are in favor of Turkey) and PRIVATE PROTECTED beaches of hotels.
In general, I think that, if there is any doubt, the author should also go to Bulgaria and form his own opinion. Since everyone has a different look and preferences for relaxation, too.
аватар ekaterina8020
Pachok, are you serious about the climate and nutrition in favor of Turkey? then you are the first person with such an opinion of all with whom I had a chance to communicate ... it’s enough to read and watch the media ..
As for the hotel in Bulgaria, the children are very happy in Trakia .. they have their own water park, plus animation ... not Turkish, of course, but they sculpt, paint figures, play games ... there are also nannies ... the food is not bad. .I would advise the author to consider ... one "but" - Sunny Beach is a resort for lovers of noisy holidays ..
аватар Pachok
Well, I'm writing - you have to go yourself to form your own opinion.
Z.Y. I'm completely serious about climate and nutrition. Mediterranean cuisine is one of the healthiest in the world. Humid sea air with coniferous phytoncides is the best for the respiratory tract. In addition, it is more saturated with iodine than dry. Maybe for Russia this is not very critical, but for us, with our Chernobyl, iodine is very, very important. Of course, no one calls to go to the South coast of Turkey in July-August :) June, the second half of September-the whole of October is just a climatic paradise. August can be added on the west coast.
аватар olga17477
Pachok, I do not denounce my friend, but convey her opinion, this is her choice. She does not work and spends all the time with the children, so she wants to relax and that the children are busy and looked after! And I work 11 months a year and therefore I want to spend as much time as possible with my child on vacation! By animation, I mean, among other things, what you wrote and I admit that Turkey wins here. I agree with you that everyone has different views, so we share them here, but the choice is still up to the author of the question!
аватар irina_1901
If Turkey does not have such animation as it is, then they will not go there (my personal opinion). Food "for an amateur", a lot of soy. But a lot of fried on the beach and poolside eggplant and other things. As one friend said: "you can eat all the time." We do not need this, but in Bulgaria good hotels have the same thing, only in the restaurant the products are natural. We were also in Thrace, just last summer. I agree with ekaterina. But this wonderful pool, it seems to me, is for older children, it’s scary to let the little ones in. And you also need to take into account that the windows of the rooms overlook the street (for those who are interested, I have a review of Trakia 3 *).
аватар Pachok
Let's go :) We've been driving for 15 years, since when there was no animation and all :)
аватар Marafetka
I liked Bulgaria at the age of 15-20, when all night from a disco to a disco, the day is filled on a sunbed. I went mainly to Golden Sands, there is enough party "good" there. With the advent of the family, it is already more attractive to rest where "everything you need is at hand." What would the children's animation be next to, and not go to see where to buy food, and the most important issue is drinking. Most of all, it is water that is used on vacation. Paying for every bottle at resort prices is not nice. So I would choose Turkey for holidays with children. but! The climate just doesn't suit me. very wet. I take it badly. So there are 2 important factors that you are more interested in: service or the milder climate of Bulgaria.
аватар Marafetka
By the way, last summer we chose where to go (3 adults + 2 children 2 years old and 1 year old). We went through all the possible options for Bulgaria - they did not choose. What I liked was expensive, what was suitable for the price - I didn’t like it. Finally we went to Egypt. All the same, it attracts such a vacation by the fact that you drove into the hotel and left it when the transfer to the airport arrived for you.
аватар irina_1901
If Pachok has been traveling to Turkey for 15 years, when was he (a) in Bulgaria, 16 years ago? Everything was different there. But if you like Turkey and everything fits, then the person has found his own. I didn't like the humid weather either. And the Mediterranean Sea is considered the dirtiest in Europe. The cuisine is good Mediterranean in restaurants, we tried in Italy, but in hotels, after all, "all inclusive", it's different. Anyway, happy holidays! And if you want to visit Bulgaria again - ask.
аватар Pachok
Do you think that a person can only go somewhere once a year? :)) I even often visit Turkey several times in one year. And, besides Turkey, 2-3 more trips - an excursion or a new country. The last time I was in Bulgaria was in 2010, in Ravda, I don’t remember worse than the sea and the beach anywhere, even in our Azov. Before that, in 2008 on a cruise, the stop was Nessebar, swimming in Sunny Beach.
In Turkey, all-inclusive in normal hotels is usually Mediterranean cuisine - vegetables, herbs, fresh cheeses, fish, meat. Soy is used as a meat substitute in cheap hotels, it's true, you can not eat it, the choice is usually normal.
If you don't like the Mediterranean, there is the Aegean in Turkey.
The Mediterranean is not the cleanest in the world, it's true. But what are we comparing to? With Black? It's even worse.

And have a good rest! I think the most important thing is that we now have a choice. Or more precisely - the possibilities and choice :))
аватар NatashaS
The first time in Bulgaria and in Ravda is, of course, tough.
