Souvenirs! Souvenirs! What to buy?
Without what it is not worth showing home after a holiday in Bulgaria?)))
Separately, the question is of interest: what kind of candy-chocolates do they have there? Is it worth buying in order to bring it to Ukraine?

Their sweets-chocolates are not so hot :) For sweets, it is better to bring jam or jam from roses, jam from figs. Many of my friends like the Bulgarian "lokum" - they always ask to bring it. For food, I advise you to bring an appetizer, dried canned tomatoes, for example, "chushki" (canned pepper is very hot), seasoning "sharena sol", sausage "sushenitsa". . . Well, and the rest, according to your taste, what you like;) Of the national drinks - rakia (grape vodka), various wines, cognac "Pliska". Local ladies drink "mastic" (anise vodka) with pleasure, diluting it with cold water 1:1. . As for me, it’s a rare muck, only to poison envious people, but as an “exotic” you can buy it too. What you really should not return from Bulgaria without is without the famous Bulgarian cosmetics based on natural rose oil. Very good fragrant perfumes, soaps and creams. . . And, by the way, not only from roses. I really like their cucumber and olive creams, I also love lavender soaps. Bulgarian soap is generally a win-win option, as a souvenir :) It is better to buy all these "wealths" in supermarkets and pharmacies - cheaper and better, since it does not lie under the scorching sun for months :)

All in all, you're worrying about nothing. Getting to know Bulgaria is no more difficult than Crimea :) I bet that on the third day of the tour, walking along Sunny Beach and looking at the bizarre architectural forms of some hotel, you mentally exclaim: "Like abroad!" And then you will smile and say: "So I AM abroad!" :)))

And I have not been to Crimea :))))))
I've heard a lot about cosmetics, but... I'm indifferent to it :) Is it in the amount of 1 unit))) And sweets are the very thing. I bring half a suitcase from everywhere - and then I cry, it's all eaten up so quickly)))
And from inedible souvenirs? (except for the same cosmetics). Jewelry, folk crafts... somehow nothing else comes to mind...

I myself am not a fan of cosmetics, but for some reason I always bring a couple of new tubes of cream from Bulgaria, and soap, mmmmmm! Here, be sure, as soon as you arrive, buy a small rose soap for one and a half or two leva and test it in your soul - everything will immediately become clear without words :) The sweets there are mediocre, I’m telling you like a sweet tooth to a sweet tooth :) True, this year discovered mint chewing "boboni" - but they are not for everyone. Bulgarian ceramics are also good, there are in the folk style, and there are elegant things from modern artistic pottery. Original knitted items made of sheep's wool also attract the attention of tourists. Otherwise, everything is like everyone else - magnets, plates, etc.
Speaking of sweets. Very tasty ice cream in Bulgaria. It's called "sladuled" - you can buy a couple of balls in a waffle cup on the street. In a cafe or restaurant, try "melba" - a Bulgarian dessert made from fruits, ice cream and waffles.

LaFifa, you were simply sent down to me by the gourmet God)))))) Taking into account the Egyptian experience in December (then I got a 17-kilogram chumadan, at the airport the guys who rewind the bags from the opening with film asked if I was going to get married)))))) ), I’ll specially go with a half-empty one in order to grab Bulgarian dishes home.
Oh yeah! I forgot about Bulgarian woolen things! Thanks for the reminder!

Another Bulgarian souvenir is Sharenata salt. local spices. Universal, go to vegetables, and meat, and fish. My husband and I bring a small supply from each train.
But it is better to buy them not packaged in a supermarket, but in jars from grandmothers - they are dressed there with multi-colored patterns in the form of waves, kisses, etc. Such a semi-souvenir option.
They also sell silver on every corner - chains, chains, chains, bracelets, bracelets, bracelets ... For every taste and every pocket. I just don’t know if the jewelry can be classified as a souvenir? :-)

Chains!!))))))
Can you take them out?

And I have Bulgarian pearl ceramics, gouveches, salad bowls - beautiful - I have no strength, even the handle of the suitcase came off). Well, rose cosmetics are great there, you just need to buy in supermarkets, maybe there is less choice, but it’s cheaper than in shops twice. Of the sweets, I really liked their white halva, it is like nougat with nuts, it is also unreasonably expensive in souvenir shops, and in the supermarket in bulk and loose for three kopecks. There is a lot of silver, yes, you can take it out.
Buy wine Mavrud, with a characteristic pleasant tart-sweet-bitter taste, saturated, we have not seen it, it is from different producers there, local property, take it in the middle price category, do not take cheap at all, not lower than 10 leva. And eat fruits and vegetables. They are in Bulgaria - a passion as good :). O!! Try tsatsu - such a small fried fish, they will pour it into a bag for you, like seeds click :)) but this is no longer a souvenir, but for the soul :))

Svetlo_va, sorry for the off-topic, but I just got great aesthetic pleasure from reading your message - it is so vividly written that I myself felt how the handle came off, the ceramics flashed and clicked swell))) Are you not a journalist for an hour?))) Not colleague? And the white halva is already spinning on the tongue))))))
аватар Svetlo_va
Biker_Oksana no, I'm not a journalist, I'm a malicious graphomaniac-amateur, a lover, or rather :)
