We were going to go to Bulgaria in a big company - my husband and I and our daughter of 11 years old, and my sister and son of 4 years old. We chose a resort and a hotel for a very long time, and we were not mistaken. The Dunes is a resort complex of 4 hotels, three of 4 stars and one of 5 stars. Very large protected area, go where you want, you can eat in any restaurant except 5-star. We liked our Holiday, because it stands in the forest, silence, the purest transparent air, it smells of pine, birds sing in the mornings, stars and cicadas in the evenings. True, it was necessary to climb up the hill, but not for long. From our house (Villa Renaissance, the whole hotel is a separate 1-2-storey houses for 2-7 rooms) at a slow pace with children - 10-12 minutes to the sea. Some houses were further away. For older people, it’s still hard to climb, especially in the heat. They gave us better rooms than we ordered, however, without a sea view, but two-room instead of the usual one with a child's place, and a double with a child's place instead of a single. Therefore, we did not argue, and we did well. In those houses where there is a view of the sea, it would certainly smell from morning to evening of a grill from a restaurant. The rooms are simple, no frills, but clean. The furniture in our bedroom was new, but my daughter’s folding sofa is old and creaky, the pillows are made of firewood with lumps, although these little things did not spoil our mood. Each room has a balcony or terrace, TV (channel 1 was on), a small refrigerator, hair dryer. Every day cleaning, linen change every three days, towels - every day. Maids - how lucky, mine had to show that you need to remove the cobwebs and wipe the dust from the window sills. The main thing is that all shortcomings are quickly eliminated. The shower in our room did not work, they said at the reception, they replaced it an hour later. In Russian, everyone more or less understands, but there were very few reasons to apply, everything is provided. The food is very good, a lot of food for every taste, very tasty vegetable dishes - fresh, fried, stewed, baked, etc. Breakfasts are ordinary - cheeses (6 types of cheese, etc. ), sausages, sausages, always some porridge, pasta, fresh delicious pastries, various egg dishes, fruits. For lunch - first courses, always hot, and about 11 second courses. Beef, veal, pork, chicken, turkey, lamb. Cooked quite tasty, which was important - either fried on the grill or cooked in the oven. We prefer dietary food, and we liked everything stewed, and many take the grill, which is fried in front of you. I didn’t like the fish - the herring is generally disgusting, and the fish itself of 2-3 types is cooked primitively, just boiled with sauce. There were themed dinners, I really liked Italian (pizza, ravioli, spaghetti, etc. ). For children, you can always choose something, and in general, for two weeks of our stay, every time for lunch and dinner there was some kind of dish that we had not yet tried. For lunch and dinner, three tables were filled with desserts and cakes. Our restaurant was called "Sozopol", very cozy, it was never hot, the waitresses were polite, they never sat with dirty dishes. Still right on the beach there is a bar with any drinks, the La Breeze restaurant, where from 12.30 they served fruit, pizza, etc. , and from 16 to 17 - cookies, cakes, tea, cocoa, coffee. Drinking bottled water was always available both on the beach and in our restaurant, you didn’t have to buy it, carry it with you too - it’s wonderful. Also on the beach did the whole day making sandwiches with whatever you want. In general, everything is done so that you will not get hungry in any case. It was possible once a week to visit an Italian or Bulgarian restaurant on the previous day. order. We visited Bulgarian, we didn't like it. The only difference is that the waiter brings the dishes, and the menu is quite small. I do not advise, it makes no sense. In general, in nutrition, the claims were only for fruits. Watermelons and melons were always tasty, then grapes appeared, and nectarines and plums were hard and sour, there were no apples and pears at all. There were never any problems with sunbeds on the beach, towels are issued right there on a beach card, you don’t need to carry them with you, very convenient. Two covered playgrounds. The sea is wonderful, clean, warm, fish, even crabs have been seen, it is very convenient for children that it is shallow for a long time. Only a couple of times in the evening it brought algae and various garbage when there was a wind. Wonderful animation - various sports activities in the morning and afternoon - volleyball, aerobics, swimming pool, archery, shows in the evening. There is an amphitheater on the territory, where people come from all 4 hotels. Professional dancers, artists perform, this is a permanent troupe, beautiful performances, chic costumes, they work with dedication and passion. We watched 6 shows, each time with a different theme and costumes. On Thursdays, there were parties on the beach, mostly children danced around the fire with animators, parents drank various drinks and ate barbecue and shish kebab. On Fridays, shows with children of vacationers, at first we did not want to go, the children persuaded. Didn't regret it! The children were divided into age groups, dressed up in beautiful costumes, the dances, of course, unpretentious, but touching and wonderfully choreographed, received no less pleasure than from the pros. Each child was then interviewed. Excursions: twice were in the city of Sozopol, it's about 15 minutes drive, a taxi takes and comes for you at the appointed time. We bought souvenirs, gifts, everything is 2 times cheaper there than in hotels. The city itself is noisy and cramped, when we returned to the hotel, it was as if we were in paradise - silence, beauty, cleanliness. We also rode a catamaran on the Rapotamo River. Very pleasant relaxing tour. This is a nature reserve, beautiful nature, we saw turtles, gray herons, wild geese. It is very beautiful where the river flows into the sea, and you can also see the "Lion's Head" rock. In general, an ideal family resort, there are a lot of children starting from six months, there are cots, high chairs in the restaurant, everything is convenient and provided. Were very satisfied!
