Baku - European East
I was in Baku in early December. The trip was spontaneous. I was going to go, so to speak where my eyes look.
I stopped on the advice of friends at the Boutique Palace Hotel. The hotel is super, but the prices are terribly biting. For the kind of money that they charge for the night, you can safely rest in Turkey at 5 * for two days. Although everything is done there at the highest level, and all the staff will do everything to make you smile and be satisfied. If you want a DVD in your room - please, if you are bored and would like to surf the Internet, take a laptop to your room. Everything is for you. But again, expensive. Rest of 6 days cost me a pretty penny.
The city itself is just a fairy tale, I discovered a lot of new things for myself. My condition then was precisely to be alone and just think. The atmosphere of the old city gave me such an opportunity.
One day I decided to take a guide. In the hotel price list, the price was $ 35, they charged me $ 50. And this is for a walking tour of Baku. Expensive. Considering that I paid for all entrance tickets (it was promised free of charge). The guide did not speak Russian very well. I had to help him periodically))) and at times, in order to fill the silence, she began to talk about her native Odessa. The panorama that opens from the Kirov Park is just a fairy tale. The whole city is on a boat. I stood there for an hour and could not tear myself away. Helps to relax and think about your own.
The cuisine is really delicious. I ate meat for a year ahead.
In restaurants, the waiters are men. one table is served by 2-3 waiters, which is nice. I didn't see any waitresses.
Girls there bathe in the attention of men. To be honest, it jarred me at first, and then I didn’t pay attention.
If you go to Baku for a visit, then it's worth it. Just to see the city, chatting with friends - all this charges with positive. I cried the evening before leaving. And in the morning before the flight it started to rain. For the first time during my entire stay in Baku. They say it's a good sign. So I'll be back..... I will believe... .
