Galina, the first to do tours there was "Feeria" last year.
Here is an interesting program with Igor Zakharenko, if you have an hour to watch.

And there are already reviews of tourists on holidays in this country, they are googled.

Albania is not worth considering if you are used to the all-inclusive service. With this, a maximum of 5 hotels work in Albania and the price there is high. All hotels in Albania do not have their own large territory. It is rather closer to Bulgarian apartments - with or without a kitchen. So, for example, in the Dures district, accommodation in apartments and 2 meals a day for 2 people for 10 nights with a flight will cost + - 1400 euros. If only breakfasts are cheaper. There are options for 3 * complexes. With breakfast, it will cost 2 about 900 euros. Dures has sandy beaches, suitable for families with children. In Vlora - stones, entry into the sea from pontoons. But it's beautiful here, the mountains are nearby. Another region is Sarranda. But there the transfer from the airport takes 5 hours. There are pebbly beaches. For 10 nights for 2 people 3 * apartments in Saranda without food will cost + _ 600 euros (this is without taking into account air)

musja7! Thanks for the detailed answer. And where to fly from Kyiv? Really in Tivat? I was one day in Albania, an excursion from Montenegro, I was shocked (negative) from Albania, but I thought that maybe the tours there would be cheaper in this impoverished country. But no, not cheap, as in Budva.

The main feature of Albania is that it is not a destination for mass tourism (at least not yet). Therefore, you will not find such an entertainment and excursion industry as in Turkey or Greece. The second feature is that there is one airport for the whole country - in Tirana, in the north of the country, and the best beach places are just in the south, you will be stunned until you get on broken roads. If you are interested in a beach holiday, then Vlora and the surroundings of Saranda are better, the villages of Ksamil and Dhermi are especially beautiful. And I will argue with musja7, there are sandy beaches in Vlora. For my taste, Vlora and neighboring Orikum have the most pleasant sea, because it is a bay, there are no waves, but Durres and Saranda are not protected from waves, the water is rough and dirty because of this.

And the third feature - everything is cheap there)))

One day in Albania from Montenegro - is it Shkoder and Tirana? There is no need to judge the whole country by them, the main beauty begins in Vlora and to the south.

From Kyiv there are flights to Tirana. "Cheapness" is the same as what they say in Montenegro - that is, if you go "savage". If you look for a good hotel on a good beach with infrastructure and food, it will not be cheap.

products in Albania at the same price as in Montenegro. eat in a cafe or restaurant, the same way. Dinner from 10 euros per person. Those. "rumors of the cheapness of Albania are greatly exaggerated"
аватар ollennka
Perhaps the matter is in exchange rates, but in the summer of 2013 I really had a very cheap rest. I don’t remember about food already, but hotels, transport at a price cannot be compared with Montenegro.

I thank all the tourists who responded to my question about Albania. We also watched the film Extravaganza and footnotes about Albania. I clearly decided not to go there yet, with age I want more comfort and service, as, for example, in Mallorca. I'll wait a couple of years until Albania gains experience in the field of tourism.

Galina50, But in vain they decided not to go there! We were last year in Albania. We went 5 people! And everyone fell in love with this small but proud country. We bought plane tickets in Feeria (because they were not available for sale), but we booked the hotel ourselves, such as we wanted. Fly for about two hours. Arrive in Tirana. We were in Vlora. But we traveled around the country. Everything is wonderful there, the sea, mountains, food !! People!! If you have any questions, please contact me, I can help. The site has my review of the hotel in which we rested. Go and don't be sorry!

ollennka, I have a feeling that you were not there. What are the broken roads? What are you about?? We traveled almost all of Albania, the roads are good! Especially the ones over the mountains.
аватар Galina50
lana_181, what do you mean by "proud country"?
аватар ollennka
lana_181, yes, I'll be glad if the roads of Albania have become much prettier since 2014))). I saw only one good road - the highway between Tirana and Durres (stable two lanes in each direction). Although, of course, depending on what to compare. Against the background of some streets of Novosibirsk and Albanian roads look good.
аватар lana_181
Galina50, is that the only question you have?) This is how Albanians call themselves. But at the same time they are very responsive people.
аватар Galina50
To be honest, I would also ask the Albanians why they call themselves a proud people.
I looked at your photos in the album, I liked the hotel very much, don’t tell me how much a trip to your hotel would theoretically cost for two, but half board, since in European countries I prefer to go to local restaurants once a day to eat.
аватар lana_181
Galina50, we had a room with a sea view, 55 euros in knocks, with breakfast. There are cheaper rooms there. Food in restaurants is inexpensive. Of course, I don’t remember the exact price, I remember only on mussels)) I love them very much, so I remember the price - 500 lek. Portions are always huge! The food is mostly Italian-pizza, pasta, all kinds of seafood, their Albanian Greek type salad..risotto. steaks. many national dishes.. and so on. Delicious beer. Dollars are almost never accepted anywhere, but there are exchange offices. And you can always change them. But you can change euros everywhere, even in a small shop.

))) To ask the Albanians whether they consider themselves a proud people, to put it mildly, is problematic. They have difficulty with English, in hotels, restaurants, the staff speaks a little, but the common people, of course, do not.
There are really enough hotels for 50-60 euros per day, but as far as I remember, they are all based on breakfast. I didn’t see half board, although, frankly, I didn’t look for such an option, I also like to eat outside the hotel. And you can eat in Albania. It is a mixture of Italian (Durres, Vlore), Greek (Saranda) and Turkish (Shkodra, Tirana) cuisine.
аватар lana_181
ollennka, yes, not everyone knows English, but many do. And not only in hotels. Of course, they don’t know any in the village, but there weren’t any problems with the language. And if you know Italian, this will be a big plus, since they also know it)). There are hotels and 5 stars, but what's the point in them if there are so many interesting things around??! There are chic equipped beaches, there are free ones, there are paid ones ... And nature !!?? 2 seas! Definitely want to go back there.
аватар ollennka
)) No, Italian is already beyond my strength, although in Durres, indeed, people squirt it in places.
And to return, yes, I agree, there are plans to go to Berat and the Chobo winery again.

having gone last year as "savages" to Montenegro, they were inspired by the experience gained and got into the taste, and Albania was next on our list.
As a result, a lot of positive impressions from such a vacation.
The sea is beautiful and clean, the rest is budget, the food is delicious, the people are kind and sympathetic,
plus a bunch of activities and adventures that await you around every corner.
