Is it possible to visit Dubai on your own?
UAEDubai
There was a window (free time) at work. I want to go to the sea urgently. Tell me about Dubai, is it worth it from June 22 to June 30, I know it's hot. But after all all the same have a rest, or it is not necessary to go in the summer??? Also, is it possible to arrange a trip by yourself? How to get to the hotels there, is it far or not? Please advise, preferably urgently. Thanks

Yes, I already read the comments about the unbearable heat, I realized it’s not worth going in the summer. I'll go in the fall. But the question remained open whether it is worth it alone ?????? And about the visa, something is not clear, I read about some problems on the forum, but I thought you can go there without a visa, just like, for example, to Turkey. Should it be opened at the embassy?????

Also, how do you get from the airport?

We traveled on our own, visas were issued through Fly Dubai, we did it in a week. Taxi to Dubai is strictly according to the meter, we have never been deceived or taken through Odessa to Kyiv :)

Yes, it’s hot, of course, but we were in July at the peak of the heat and didn’t regret it at all, we were in the state of Fujairah, the pool was cooled, air conditioning was everywhere, so everything was super + there were few people and the price was great

In summer, the prices for tours are very cheap, I don’t think you should bother about an independent trip

I don't think you will benefit much if you fly on your own! All attractions in Dubai, you are not tied to the hotel if you take only breakfast. And the travel agency will decide the visa issue for you. It took us a week to see everything on our own and relax by the sea.

We went through a travel agency, and distant acquaintances organized a tour for themselves - it cost them a lot more, and more problems. Choose a hotel, pay the agency, and problems with visas, etc. This is their headache.
And it's better to go to Dubai in February March. This is a city from the future!!!

Of course you can, but definitely not worth it. Leave the visa worries to the travel agents. If you go in the summer - then not in Ramadan, in addition, it is not entirely clear from the question - what kind of vacation do you prefer. Swimming in the sea during the summer months is possible only early in the morning, the rest of the time in the pool. As for shopping excursions, there are air conditioners everywhere.

There is a metro station at the airport
аватар 78Irina
It is possible, but in my opinion it is cheaper through a travel agency, getting to any hotel from the airport is not difficult (both by metro and taxi). On the third day, we were already well oriented in the subway and visited a lot of places. We went in March of this year on a last-minute tour.

Thank you all very much for your participation, I don’t really want to postpone until the fall, especially since now I have free time. I want to clarify, if you go all the same, in the summer, namely June 22-30, does Ramadan fall, it seems not ??? I would like a good rest: in the morning the sea, and then everything that is interesting to the tourist - excursions, shopping, evening rest - cafe walks. I'm traveling alone, where can I go in the evening?? Will everything work out from the above, or maybe in the heat there are few people and fewer opportunities for communication, or something is closed ... I don’t like to come to the country when life stops there, for example, because of the holidays, when everything is closed and everyone there are no people in the city ... I mean, will the heat interfere with the full experience
??? Thanks

The main life in Dubai takes place in the malls, there are always a lot of people there - there are shops and entertainment. So life doesn't stop. See excursions from two main companies working with Russian-speaking tourists - Aladdin (such is not the correct name for them) and Erebien Knights. Their websites can be easily found on Google.

Ramadan this year is July 9th or 11th. As for hiking - forget it, except near the singing fountains.

Thank you. What are malls? : "The main life in Dubai takes place in the malls ..." And in what place, territorially, is it more convenient to have a hotel (not only to swim, but also to walk, given that I'm alone, so it's not scary)? Thanks

And yet I can’t decide what to prefer on these dates from June 22 to June 30, Dubai or Turkey, the cost is almost the same. I know Turkey, I have never been to Dubai. Tell me experienced tourists, please ... Or is Dubai unequivocally postponed for the cold season????? I don’t know what to do, I need to decide urgently. I look forward to your persuasive advice. Thanks

Malls are huge shopping centers with shops and entertainment - the most popular are the Dubai Mall (near the Burj Khalifa and fountains), the Mall of the Emirates (the largest shopping and entertainment center in the world with a ski slope). We had a hotel in the Deira area (normal budget hotels two metro stations from the airport). they have free shuttles to al mamzar beach and they are all close to metro so you can get anywhere in the city.

You can find out the name of the hotel. Or which ones are located in convenient places.

Answered you privately

In winter it is cold, we wear sweatshirts, although there are tourists who sunbathe)
in July-June we residents sunbathe and swim
So who cares...
I can help in obtaining a visa, it takes 2 days, the cost is about 150 USD
аватар Tharevskiy1
It is not possible to get to Dubai INDEPENDENTLY, as a visa is sent on the basis of a hotel booking confirmation, and a hotel is booked only on a prepaid basis.
