you are unlikely to swim in the sea in January; the sea will cool down and will not warm up, and you can sunbathe, especially since the pools are heated. hotels are all good enjoy the service get at 5 it will be dark

I was also interested in resting at this time. I have read many reviews. Basically, it all boils down to the fact that the locals do not swim, and ours are always in the bay)))
They say that in January, the sea is very warm, but windy.
At least acquaintances returned tanned.

Dubai in January is very good. Warm enough to take a break from our weather, cool enough to enjoy the city, but not hot enough to wallow in the sea.
We swam of course, but on the beach there was a pleasant wind. The pools are good but boring. Great in water parks, but expensive to go there every day)

if the main thing for you is a beach holiday, then I absolutely agree with Apyatka Dubai in January is not good and you should not pay for an expensive hotel .. for Slav1 - the sea will be cold in a couple of weeks .. it heats up quickly here and also cools down very quickly, although for someone like ours and some bathe in +19 water

We will make the decision at the family council and if Dubai remains the place of rest, then we will probably choose a less pretentious hotel and devote our free time to shopping and exploring local attractions.

was last year on NG. the weather was perfect! lived near the Burj Khalifa, but whenever possible got out to the beach. the water was about 20 (we have such water in Odessa in the summer, so it’s not cold at all), the sun caresses, but does not fry (but we still managed to get burned a little), there was no wind, fortunately. but, as they say, you may not be lucky with the weather. so you absolutely rightly decided to take a simpler hotel, because. you can get to the sea from any hotel, the beaches there are the same everywhere anyway (by the way, I liked the free public beach the most - fewer people and water sports).

Hello. We rested from January 18 to January 28, 2012. Well, after our minus 15, their plus 25 was for happiness. They burned very well. But the weather in January brings surprises, sometimes not joyful ones. What really bothered me was the constantly blowing wind, sometimes strong. But there is no heat, and they swam in the sea with pleasure. 20 degrees is a comfortable water temperature for us. In general, before lunch, well, until two o'clock, feel free to go to the beach, and then until 10 o'clock in the evening "raid the shops" :-)

In the UAE, January is considered off-season! That's why they created a festival - sales up to 75 percent. for all goods except gold and fur. If you are going to sales, which, by the way, concern all malls without restrictions (super mar.), then you better go to Dubai. You will not spend money on a taxi.

Many guests lay by the heated pool under towels , and foreigners by the sea in clothes on sunbeds, without exposing themselves to hypothermia for the sake of tanning (and the tan is weak at this time and quickly disappears upon returning to their homeland) This year's winter sales festival from 3.01.-3.02., if you are a shopaholic - go , get an OCEAN of pleasure instead of the warm sea, which I always use, and I make up for saturation with warmth in June at the Summer Surprises festival.
