I was in Abkhazia in September 2007 at the Samshitovaya Grove boarding house. I would not recommend my friends to go there, because. the desolation is complete, the food is disgusting, the sea is cold. If you already go to Abkhazia, then to Pitsunda and the private sector. In Pitsunda, the sea is very clean and warm, there are many cafes where the food is tasty and inexpensive, and tours are much cheaper, than in a boarding house. It's not dangerous to drive at all. There are no queues at customs, if you give the driver 500 rubles, who will give them to someone who needs them and you will bypass all the queues. I was in Pitsunda in September 2007, they rented a 3-room apartment for 2 people for 600 rubles (about 120 UAH) per day). Only there was no hot water. And so in the center near the market. To the beach 5 minutes walk. It's absolutely safe there. Were on an alloy on Bzyba. We swam for a day, the next day we went on an excursion. Prices are quite high for products. The average excursion is about 100 UAH. On the way back we were in Krasnaya Polyana near Sochi. It's better and cheaper to go there as a savage.
