Review:
Ok, I'll try to tell you in general terms about the New Year's trip to IT. Actually, I’ll say right away that when we went there (to the Literary Fund), we perfectly understood that far from a five-star hotel was waiting for us. We read the reviews, looked at the photos ...But nevertheless, personal impressions finally put everything on the shelves.

This establishment has three buildings. The main (largest), new and still kind of family. I won’t say anything about the latter - they weren’t. Of the other two, it is better to settle in a new one. Firstly, simply because it is relatively new and there are better rooms, and secondly, because you do not depend on the operation of elevators. Elevators in this boarding house - a separate story.

They work according to their schedule: when they want, then they work. At the same time, the old elevator operator always mutters some rubbish about the fact that they are somehow interconnected there and there is not enough tension. Of course, you will not begin to express your displeasure to a lady of advanced years. In general, there is trouble with elevators. So if you are placed in the main building (12 or 13 floors) high, then get ready for walking up the stairs. On the other hand, sports In addition, they are also very old (elevators). Such a feeling. that they are at least 20 years old ...

The rooms in the main building (standards) are poor. Made a small repair, of course, but no more. Plumbing is cheap, in principle it worked fine, but another year will come and it will cover, and it looks shameful. The TV set in the room works like an idiot, like the quality of a room antenna. In summer, perhaps, there is no time to watch it, but in winter, given the boredom that prevails around ...The refrigerator in room (602) did not really work at all.
There was absolutely nowhere to put things in our room: one small wardrobe with hangers and a small shelf and two old bedside tables (one of them has a TV). So if you come for a long time - everything will be lying in the bags. By the way, there is an ironing room, but in principle it is impossible to iron with such an iron that it (1 piece) can be ironed. And yet - on New Year's holidays it was cold in the rooms. In principle, there is no heating provided there, and the air conditioner worked according to some algorithm of its own, which only the maid knew. Believe me, I usually understand this technique, but not what hangs there.

Infrastructure. There is no gym, there are only its remains - rusty fragments of simulators on a concrete floor. Swimming pool - well, if you have not seen anything better - it will do. It is not small, but some kind of gray, the stairs (descents) are poorly fixed, rusty.
On the account of whether they clean it or not - I have never seen it in 6 days, but maybe it was just not the season, but the water was heated and invited to swim. Table tennis (that's really fun! ) - 4 shabby rackets. There are also huge, very used chess pieces left over from Soviet times.

In general, everything in the main building is shabby, the floors are completely empty, even if they hang some kind of flower or a vulgar picture. The maids yell, call to each other. By the way, the floor numbers are not even written anywhere. And since you often have to climb on foot - it would be useful. In general, there are some Soviet remnants everywhere. Light repairs were made only in the rooms, but in the corridors. Everything else is a terry and already quite worn out and falling apart scoop.

The girls at the reception are generally polite. But the impression is that they first day went to work. They don’t really know anything, they look somewhere to the side forever.

Nutrition. It's a total nightmare.
In the old Soviet canteen, tourists are offered the so-called buffet. Somewhere I read before the trip that what is not eaten for breakfast goes to lunch. Quite right. And there is. Of course, in a slightly modernized form. And what was not eaten at lunch will appear for dinner. I understand that this can be done at home. But somewhere in Turkey, not to mention other countries, have you seen this? The food itself is not tasty either. So ...You can eat, no more. On the New Year's table there was, among other things, a turkey (by the way, in fairness, I note that the table itself was more or less normal), so then we ate it for three more days in different forms ...And at the entrance to the canteen they still want me to did you greet them? By the way, the system of food stamps generally caused fits of laughter: the Soviet Union has risen! But the waiters in this catering are normal, polite.

Of particular note is the "enchanting" show program announced for the New Year holidays.
I have never seen such amateur performance in any wretched outback. It's not even self-employed. This is some kind of presumptuous self-inactivity. Nightmarish, stupid, not funny, miserable ...The disco was usually interrupted 25 times a night (whether there were wires or something else). In short, darkness is simple. Even in the most shabby Turkish hotel (for the same money, by the way), the animation is better. It was a mockery of tourists, not a show program. Which, by the way, I told the main entertainer (I didn’t remember his name, sorry). Maybe it's better in the summer. But on New Year's Eve, it's a complete mess. Interestingly, Madame Akhmadulina and other "noble guests" who stayed in this "boarding house" 300 years ago were also shown THIS? )))

Separately, it is worth mentioning that, despite the fact that the boarding house is supposedly a closed area, local comrades walk there all the time. I have nothing against them.
However, on January 1, in the evening, the disco was canceled at the request of vacationers, some of whom were doused with champagne by an unbridled local macho. Not that I'm craving this disco. But the fact itself. Still need clarification?

Territory boarding house, in general, nothing. Slightly smells of abandonment, but still normal, green, beautiful. To the sea - 10 meters. The beach is of average scall, but, I think, if you really come to the sea, it will do. Although to whom, of course. By the way, it is not equipped. At all.

Excursions ...We went everywhere ourselves. But in principle they are. Prices are 600-800 rubles per person. On an old Mercedes bus, they take you somewhere, don't worry.

At the entrance to the boarding house you will always be met by friendly local taxi drivers. They will offer you to show Sukhum or something like that for 1500 rubles. If you want - agree ... )) I warn you - taxi drivers are very intrusive. So they pull you into the car.
And they spin all sorts of nonsense about the fact that "Hey, what a minibus, you won't go anywhere today, brother ... ". We tried not to listen to them and always drove everywhere. ) By the way, the location of the boarding house. Pitsunda is still 40 minutes on foot, not to mention Gagra.

In general and in general, as I have already said, Abkhazia is a wonderful country! Nature is divine. The people are mostly friendly and nice. But the thorn of the Literary Fund can ruin all the impressions about this wonderful region. It is better to go to the private sector in Abkhazia, it seems to me. There, the conditions are better and the location can be chosen more advantageous in order to be less dependent on transport. Abkhazia - yes! Literary Fund - no!
