Abkhazia is an amazingly beautiful country. I have been there four times. But what's been going on there lately is terrible. My husband and I spent our honeymoon (1998) in the village of Gantiadi. The destruction was monstrous. Gagra all fired. Abkhazia seceded - but the trouble is, almost no one recognizes it (Honduras recognized it). It would be good to make a second Turkey in Abkhazia, but it is impossible to find an investor. Now I categorically do not advise you to go to Abkhazia.

Just not in the old one. and in the new Gagra. There, on every gate, there are advertisements for the delivery of housing. There are many cafes.
