Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. Journey to Africa 2018
Finally, I decided to see one of the wonders of Africa, the Victoria Falls. From the hotel to the waterfall I had to walk 1.5 km. I wanted to leave earlier, but I overslept, and therefore I had to walk under the hot African sun. I found the road easily, as the locals were walking in this direction, alone to the waterfall. And others on the bridge to Zambia for goods. I spent two days on the Victoria Falls from Zimbabwe. Reminds me of the Iguazu Falls in Brazil. I'll find out which one is the best today. I did not book an excursion to the waterfall, but went on foot from the hotel. I don't need a guide. Since all the information is on the Internet. I just wanted to wander around the park and enjoy the beauty and fresh air. While I was walking to the waterfall, I got eggplants, taxi drivers and flies. How addictive they are. You send them far, far in the other direction, but they still follow you. Every resident is trying to grab at least something from the tourists. I understand them, the state does not care about them. Like, you live in a tourist area, so milk the tourists, they have a lot of money. With difficulty, I made my way to the entrance to the waterfall, where I bought a ticket for $ 30.
It's nice to wander around the park among the big trees. Water mist humidifies and cools the air. I came to the park in the morning, but it is necessary in the afternoon, in the late afternoon, so that the sun shines on the waterfall. Water dust makes photography especially difficult. One more moment. The waterfall is shallow. The rainy season has not arrived.
I admired the waterfall.
