But because it is Ukraine, it is a part of it that, like the rest, most Ukrainians do not know, and therefore can not appreciate. Because when voting for a place to rest, the youngest granddaughter categorically stated: "I'm only in the Carpathians, and wherever you want! ». She can be trusted, because up to the age of eight she was twice on top of Hoverla and once conquered Trostyan. She will not have to see the sea, Turkey or Bulgaria again this year. "I'll have time, our Ukraine is better! "- A deadly argument.
Besides, if I put my hand on the place that is responsible for truth and honesty, I also do not exchange anything for a week's vacation in a small village in the Chernihiv region with a fishing rod on the shores of Sorokin Lake or Desna, or its tributaries.

The place of base somehow emerged - p. Polyana, Svalyava district The village is over 900 years old, with a population of about 3.000 people. Located in a valley where there is virtually no wind. I searched for the house in Polyana itself, and in the surrounding villages, on various sites, sometimes already forgotten by all - I found it!

This is what it looks like. One hundred and fifty meters to the sanatorium "Polyana" and the pump room (water is free, but limited), to prod. shops (there were five nearby) a maximum of two hundred meters. To the sanatorium-resort complex "Sunny Transcarpathia" two and a half kilometers - 30 minutes walk. Walk to the forest, where many mushrooms - 20 minutes. We went to the market in Svalyava, only 10 minutes, there and in a large supermarket. In Polyana, the range of products and their quality did not like - few vacationers, no demand, no delivery. But this did not become a problem, everything was needed, prepared and eaten.
From July 5 to August 8, we had to rest from Kyiv, regain our physical shape, see what we had never seen, and the location of Polyana greatly contributed to this - equidistant from everything we planned to see. And to any of the three borders (Hungarian, Slovak and Polish) only an hour by car, and then at least three hours to Budapest, at least to Vienna six hours or to Venice itself in ten. It didn't work out, it's a pity.
We are me, my wife, my daughter and my two grandchildren, only five. By the end of July, the son-in-law also arrived.
On July 5, at five o'clock in the morning, all five tourists got into the car and drove west on the wonderful E40 to the village of Pidhirtsi, Lviv region.
The Pidhirtsi Palace was destroyed and rebuilt several times during its four hundred years, at the beginning of the Second World Collection of Exhibits (the palace was a museum at the time) was taken to Brazil, and what remained was successfully looted in 1945 by Soviet soldiers. There was also a tube dispensary in it. Now its decoration is scanty, there are almost no exhibits, but the architecture of the palace, panoramic views, well-kept park and the Church of the Exaltation and St. Joseph make this place attractive.
There were a lot of visitors, there was a bazaar with souvenir-rag-food products.
We walked for almost two hours, began to feel like tourists, went on.
Google Maps, navigators will force you to turn right behind the Lower Gate on the Floor to get to the Glade. Do not do so, you need to drive another E40 thirty kilometers and turn to Golubin, from which the center of Polyana 6 km.
The village of Polyana is located along the road leading to the village of Uklin, then to the pass, repeatedly jumping over the river Pinya, two of which - Big and Small. Another part of the village stretches along the river Luh (mineral water "Luzhanska"), which is closer to the "Sunny Transcarpathia", which stunned me a little - did not expect, looks like a modern European resort.
The road that led to the center of the village goes to the left to this oasis, then to Perechyn through the pass of the same name, where Vojvodina, Lumshory with vats, and "Green Estate", where they spent a week in January 2017.

Dukhnovych, 104, settled down. Five TVs, four of which I turned off for the whole period, Wi-Fi is perfect, Vodafone and Kyivstar are full scale. We managed to buy some in the store for breakfast. Check the expiration date of products, especially dairy! By mid-July, some cafes and restaurants opened, where sometimes they had a snack, the prices were low, the quality and variety were 4. I tried the mineral water once in a while (I didn't like it), it was probably too early to start drinking it.

The castle was closed, the botanical garden was closed, most cafes were closed - we walked the streets and were very happy about it, the city attracts, calls to itself. And it was there, in the Museum of Architecture, that my wife and I came up with the idea at the same time - to move to live in these lands, my native Kyiv became unbearable for life.
There are swimming pools in "Sunny Transcarpathia" and in Solochyn, there are lakes near Mukachevo, but we chose the river Latorytsia, and also near the village of Pidpolozzia. There they bathed constantly in clean running water, no more than 20 degrees Celsius, for several hours almost every night the people demanded!
And in Transcarpathia they make wine, juices and cognac.

Comparing wines is ungrateful and unnecessary, but I will say with confidence that the wines from the Chizai tract are not inferior, and the range is superior to wines from the Chianti Valley. Transcarpathian cognac is in second place after Armenian.
These conclusions are only mine, but they are the result of many years of work and natural selection.
Nothing compares to the works of nature, one of which is a waterfall.

From the TO718 road in the village of Podobovets to the waterfall is only 3 km, but it was not possible to get there due to the complete lack of what drivers love the most - a good road, there is no road as such. I had to go through Pylypets, but there is no "fountain".

The Castle of the Counts of Schö nborn in the village of Karpaty was closed for visitors until July 22, but we waited until noon and walked around and inside, and especially the beautiful park. There is a source of mineral water that we do not know, did not drink.
On the way back to Kyiv, they finally turned to Olesko to the castle, which was seen many times from the car window on the left and on the right. Everything there is grown-up, everything is real exhibits of Leonardo's peers.
